Increase potassium is iffy, but take in trace minerals and take CoQ10....zero fruits, fructose is highly toxic. Lots of water, never any other type of liquid.

I bought a walking treadmill (£200) and walk about 20 mins a day ,start at 5 mins and work up to 20, I use a mp3 player and play some music which is reasonably fast enough to get you slightly out of breath, your the best judge of how fast it is for you, it keeps me in step and makes it enjoyable rather than boring,it works a treat at lowering my blood pressure.

I love Cleveland Clinic. They're the best. I was troubling with a cough that more than one pulmonologist told me it Bronchitis and keep prescribing the wrong medication. I was so frustrated. Finally, I went to Cleveland Clinic in Florida and the pulmonologist there did such a work ups and finally made the right diagnosis before giving me medication. He listened to everything I had to say. Treated me with respect and dignity. Been in the medical field and on the other side of the receiving end, made me even more empathetic for my patients. Patients should be listened to and not treated like a novice.

Exercise 1 hour everyday (mainly walking, running, pushing up), Don’t eat in the afternoon or at night, Eat plenty of fish, fruit and vegetables. Works for me for over 30 years. I’ve had high blood pressure since I was a kid mostly because of genetics inherited from my dad who also had high blood pressure since he was in his late 20s. Unfortunately he died at 82 due to a cancer and this also proves that you can live a long healthy life with hypertension.

I have reversed my recently detected Hypertension 140/97. Trust me, I am someone who wants results with little comfort and here are the things which I did and if I can do it then I am sure everyone can..
1)I like meditation or rather you can say going into trance, thinking about good things or your dreams. Do this for at least 20-30mints. I put on music and just dream with my eyes closed.
I also do 5mints of deep breathing, remember to hold your breath each time when you inhale and exhale.
    2) Be positive and keep on affirming good things throughout the day. A few days can go bad and it might be difficult, but still fake it just recite.
3)Walk or Do a little cardio you can even do at home 20-30mints is okay in the beginning. Better if you can do both.
4)Last but not the least your diet, food is the major culprit here atleast in my case it was. I started doing intermittent fasting 16:8. No meals means absolutely nothing after 6pm next day around 9-10am morning I will have a little breakfast. Throughout day also do not eat all those nonsense and crappy food.
Try these things for few days and see the results. Work on your belief and keep saying to yourself that you can do it.

I'm not on medication. I started drinking low sodium V8 (1200 mg of potassium per 12 oz can) and magnesium supplements (just because I probably don't get enough of either in my diet). That combo has significantly lowered my BP - on the order of -20mm/-10mm.

Im 32 my blood pressure was around 145 ish over mid 90s and sometimes my readings would creep into the 150s over high 90s... They put me on blood pressure medication( I was not planning on staying on it.) I switched my diet around completely. I eat whole grains, munch on cheerios and almonds as a snack, only eat white meat mainly chicken breast and sometimes some lean porkchops, eat broccoli, take red beet juice, fish oil pills and hawthorne berry pills.. So anywho i took the bloood pressure meds for a month and they did absoleutly nothing... I stopped taking them (spoke to my DR first) started my diet and started running and walking almost every day. Needless to say just took my blood pressure today and it was 114/69.. Which is where its been sitting at. I can take it at anytime and the highest reading ill get is like 131 over like 80 but thats usually midday when i get back from running other than that its like 112 to 117 over 68 to 78... Oh and ive been smoking cigarettes for years and have 2 to 3 drinks a night.... Ohh and my resting heart rate came down from high 70s low 80s to low 60s.

That's so encouraging especially since I don't even smoke cigs or drink really ever. Mine came from years of poor eating & literally no exercise. I wish I started sooner but grateful to have the opportunity to now. I started hawthorne berry like a week ago & had great results but I think I need to add potassium & magnesium as well. Plus my vitamin D was super low which can cause high bp too so I got a prescription for that. My bp is higher than yours started. I have completely cut fast & fried food & i'm eating more fruits & veggies plus getting at least 30 minutes of exercise a day now. I just started but I have faith & determination to turn this around. I'm only 32 as well.

It is not about the weight. It is about the insulin resistance and the metabolic syndrome. Weight is just one more result of metabolic syndrome. Sodium is not a factor unless you have kidney problems. Pressure diuresis and other regulatory mechanisms completely adjust for sodium. Your taste and your desire for sodium regulates how much you can have. If you get too much it taste bad.

I agree that doctors are too quick to give prescription medicines. And I found out the reason is because mostly all of them own pharmaceutical stock companies. The more prescriptions they write the more money they make. I asked one doctor about taking some herbal or natural medicine, he said why would i tell someone to take that there is no profit in that !!!!

Sauna has been amazing for me. saun is also a good way to get rid of sodium also, sweat oils my body and makes me look younger and i'm 75.
