This video uses photos, film clips, and newspaper articles to explore how Leisure World Seal Beach was designed and built by developer Ross Cortese. Seal Beach was Cortese's prototype. He had built other housing developments but this was the first that was age restricted. Cortese went on to build other Leisure Worlds in the U.S. two of which are also in California. This video includes footage of the Seal Beach Leisure World Historical Society and Museum located in Clubhouse 1.
