  • This is another demonstration of the kind of finger joints that are possible when a cnc router is available. As stated in the title, the wood used is maple and walnut.

This is an application of cnc in woodworking that I really appreciate. Actually making something that would be totally impractical to create with any other method. Cnc design is an incredible skill and requires a wealth of knowledge, both about the machine and the medium being carved, but I don't really care about carvings or marquetry pieces done by cnc router.

that's insane! I've been asked if anybody has/could do this by hand. I'm not really sure I could pull it off. -i think that one of the cool things about this method is simply the fact that its all visible, and that i could get my phone close enough to be able to make it easy to follow. thats not so easy with a bandsaw, and its basically impossible with a hand router.

    • @Tool-Meister
