Lee's younger brother was my boxing coach when I was a kid, his brother was a really nice bloke, he used to train in the park at the end of my street. I remember seeing Lee about when I was a kid, but I was very young when he died(about 7yo I think) so can't remember much about him.
Lee Duffy is still talked about to this day in Middlesbrough, kids of 10 know his story. The town still hasn’t produced anyone as tough and notorious as him.
And therein lies the problem. His notoriety from aggression is borne out of abuse during his childhood. Celebrate the innocence of the abused child whose life was taken away too soon, not that of the abuser that he became.

You're absolutely right when it comes to summing-up Lee Duffy's life. He was a victim who became a victimiser. Undoubtedly he was physically abused as a child... there has been so much pain in the NE of England for decades, that hard-drinking and fighting became the norm. The sad thing is that he is now celebrated as a victimising 'hard-man', rather than as an abused child.

Allo first had a knuckle duster which fractured Lee’s skull and had him wobbled until Lee got on top of him again. Then it was said Allo’s friend stabbed Lee in the back first which made Lee get up and then Allo was passed the knife and he stabbed him 7/8 times repeatedly. But the police wanted Lee gone because they couldn’t handle him. Nobody could take him 1v1 up to that point. Sad ending because he had kids but that way of living always leads most to the grave.

Allo first had a knuckle duster which fractured Lee’s skull and had him wobbled until Lee got on top of him again. Then it was said Allo’s friend stabbed Lee in the back first which made Lee get up and then Allo was passed the knife and he stabbed him 7/8 times repeatedly. But the police wanted Lee gone because they couldn’t handle him. Nobody could take him 1v1 up to that point. Sad ending because he had kids but that way of living always leads most to the grave.

@@chrisjenkins5846I know it's a mad one chris, I've gone down so many rabbit holes this last year I've read every book, seen all the podcasts and clips and docs on him and many people say very different things. It's hard to know isn't it, one thing with the police man though he did say a few things slightly wrong on the shaun attwood podcast i noticed, not intentionally of course he seems a really nice guy but he said the person lit the match and burned lee a bit when he had petrol poured on him which clearly wasn't the case, as you'll know as well if you through petrol about any flame near it and the whole place and people near it would have engulfed.
