Burbank airport always give me the Walt nostalgic feels. Pretty easy access but the steep landing and takeoff trajectory can be a bit of a clincher during poor weather.
@@TheDailyWooThe CRJ700 seats 69- 79 passengers depending on airline, and by the way foot traffic passed you in the aisle I say you were in First Class A section.
32:44 Luke's Land Speeder?? Lol. Great footage. Yes, I love the Bob Hope Airport. I like how the planes are as big as the buildings. So small. No fuss, No muss. Way chill. Thank you for sharing.
I'll have mixed emotions when the old school Burbank terminal is replaced! The new terminal is estimated to open up in late 2026 and the old one will be demolished within 12 months of the new one opening up. I hope the ease and convenience of the current terminal is brought to the new one. But this airport is in major need of an upgrade so I am glad to see that it is happening.
That scene after boarding the plane where your feet couldn’t extend forward because of the wall in front of you with stainless steel at the bottom was hilarious 😆 😂🤣 I laughed so hard 😂……unfortunately no red shoe found. I really enjoy your content !! Keep up the great work !!! 👍👏
Burbank is a good small airport. You can't fly non stop from nyc lga past Denver non stop lga is my favorite airport in nyc .I have to use nwk or jfk to fly non stop . The most beautiful is palm springs airport with outside lobby
So, the planes you were on Adam, are called regional jets. They are pure workhorses for a lot of different airlines. They are some of the most reliable jets you can fly in. The noises you were hearing were actually the fan blades in the engines, breaking the sound barrier. On the bigger jets the sound comes across as more of a buzzing. Normally after takeoff the noise goes away as take off power is reduced to cruising speed. Hope that helps!
Yesss. I’m a regional flight attendant and it makes me sad when people come on our planes like “oh my god. This is the smallest plane ever”. I always tell them that it doesn’t matter the size, as long as it gets you there 😂😂😂 We fly the E175. 76 seats. It’s not THAT small. Crjs are smaller but just because it’s smaller doesn’t mean it’s less safe.
I was alarmed also at that shrill. I flew this same type of regional jet from Fort Wayne to Chicago Ohair and had a beautiful ride until the pilot banked the jet to line up to land. Tremendous G force pushing us down for 10 seconds.
Don’t worry Adam that was totally normal for a Phoenix takeoff or landing. Yes it might have been just a little more with the small plane but with the winds coming up and over the surrounding mountains it does get bumpy.
Howdy Adam! I don’t know how well your travel videos do as far as views and likes go, but they are my favorite! I love aviation and travel and love that you get to travel so much! Appreciate you and the videos! Keep up the great work! Looking fit by the way!
APU = Auxiliary Power Unit. It's like a little mini-engine that runs before and during boarding and provides just enough energy to run the lights, air, and cockpit instruments during pre-flight activities until they are ready to start the engines.
When my parents lived in Ocala, I would sometimes fly into Gainesville from North Carolina on the same type of jets. The Gainesville airport only had a gift cart and, the two jet bridges are only 3 feet above the ground. You can even park next to the terminal building. Through 2016 the parking was FREE. Just a little trivia about a place near Adam. Have a good trip!
That small aircraft was odd, poor Adam with No place to put his feet.... That FLY QUIETLY sign has me Laughing my Butt Off !! Nice to hear the name BOB HOPE ! Though I was a small child then, I'd watch his show with my Mom and LAUGH ! Bob was Funny ! 😊PHX Sky Harbor is Nice, I live in Scottsdale, Az. THANK YOU, Adam I really enjoy your content !
Isn't the Burbank airport the coolest? The outdoor baggage claim, the short walk to the gates. We got stuck there in January when our flight was delayed and we would miss our connection. They ended up paying to taxi us to LAX and put us up for the night to get back to Orlando. No openings on any flight the next day from Burbank. LAX sucks!
Burbank is so much better then LAX. Try next time if you can American Airlines to Dallas then on to Burbank. The plane is bigger lol.... Also it's a bit of a walk to get your car but so much better then taking a shuttle as in Los Angeles. It is however pricier then flying into LA but in my opinion well worth it :)
Was in that same front single seat on a flight in Alberta last year and it was very weird having the only seat on one side. Was bumpy as well but Air 🇨🇦 provided a very nice breakfast. (Thanks to the generosity of someone with many points.)😊
Woah, that little extended gangplank type thing from the jetbridge in phoenix was weird, and kinda ramshackle. Never seen that before! I'm enjoying these trip videos!
Bob Hope airport is so low-key and uncomplicated, I just love the feeling of waltzing right onto that old school tarmac! Welcome back to beautiful Burbank Adam!
I had a layover in Phenix a couple weeks ago from California to Orlando and I got stuck there overnight two flights were canceled I get nightmares still I will never fly into Phoenix again. Glad you’re back into SoCal 👍🏻.
Dang, missed you by a day. I checked out of there yesterday (Tuesday) morning and drove to Vegas. I did the VIP Experience at Universal on Monday and loved it. I also went to the Valley Relics Museum off of your video last year in Van Nuys.
First I got to say, love Bob Hope!! He was soooo funny! It was called the Bob Hope airport, but they changed the name years ago to Burbank. Next you need to come into LA via Long Beach. Its like you stepped back in time and walk to the plane via the tarmac. And the terminal is really cool to see and you can fly on the big jets!!! Hint, Hawaiian Airlines fly's from Long Beach...
Adam, Burbank airport reminds me of the old John Wayne Airport. You used to have to exit the plane via a jet bridge at the old (SNA) airport. I hope you have time to go to Universal & ride the studio tour since they brought back the old style Glamor Trams. Earthquake the Big One is also back open from it's overhaul. Hello From Phoenix Arizona 🌡 🔥
While I was attending college at Cal State University Northridge, the nearest airport from the college campus is in Burbank (Bob Hope Airport). I flew between Sacramento and Burbank a bunch of times during my time at CSUN.
I also grew up in Orlando Adam and my grandparents lived in Sarasota. When visiting my grandparents which we did off and on all year long we would always drive. Well one time my dad wasn’t going to go with me snd my sister to visit. So I remember my dad saying we were gonna fly and then on the way back he’d meet us half way driving home I thought oh cool we’re gonna fly we’ve never done that before. I’ll never forget we get to the plane and it was an American Airline flight like the one you took but the plane was even smaller. It had to be like maybe 20 passengers at the most. It wasn’t even a jet engine plane it was propeller engines. Loaded straight off the tarmac. And the flight flew at a very low altitude compared to any flight I had been on before. It was awesome!
😊😊😊 The last time I was in Universal, last September, I stayed in that hotel and I don't want to stay anywhere else now. My room had a view of the pool from the 4th floor. Very nice. It was opening night of Horror nights and I saw you with a group of friends that night.
We picked Burbank to fly into last July when we visited Disneyland and DCA. Loved the airport, had a burger at Guy Fieri's. Only one bummer about it, they are SERIOUS about the 10 pm quite thing, if you're plane ain't off the ground buy 10, you ain't leavin till tomorrow!
Welcome back to California ❤ Looking at those clouds, I guess the chemtrails are working. Sometimes my daughter will fly into Burbank, I think she prefers to land there, I just don't like the drive over there. LAX is closer.
Thank you for your interesting video trip by plane..I see that the gasoline is not expensive at all compared to my country, France...8 dollars a gallon, it is very expensive...I wish you a good stay in California ❤
Yeah, those small puddle jumpers are something else lol I flew in one from Boston to Albany NY and the pilot thought he was funny and turned the plane so steeply that you could see out the cockpit window as the horizon went vertical lol The pilot and co-pilot laughed when the passengers all audibly gasped. I can say with all certainty that I will never get on another plane as long as I live. If I can't get there by car, train, boat or bus, I ain't goin' lol I hope you waved in my direction as you passed over Phoenix and Chase Field. I felt a disturbance in the force so I thought "That's probably Adam the Woo!!"
I flew from Seattle to Portland and back over a weekend. pre pandemic when you could show up 1 hr before take off and it was cheap. on the the way back " ma'am that cant be my plane the last one had engines" she giggled I assure you it has engines.... "yeah but not propellers....." had to reseat to balance weight. no one was allowed out of their seat. Rockiest flight ever. thankfully shortest
Just how many watchers know just who Bob Hope is? I love that you mentioned him.
This one does.
What do you think is the average age of viewers of this channel? I'd say 80% of people who watch know who Bob Hope is.
I do and I'm 38
Buttons And Bows with the stunningly beautiful Jane Russell.
I do but I’m 69. Watched him on TV with my parents.
Such a relaxing and fun video. Thank you!
When I lived in Southern California I always flew out of Burbank. Much easier than dealing with LAX.
Thanks for sharing, And Bob Hope was such an amazing gentleman.
Burbank is an old school airport. LAX is craaaaazy vs John Wayne or Burbank & Long Beach airport is pretty good too. 👍
I love John Wayne and Bob Hope airports
Burbank airport always give me the Walt nostalgic feels. Pretty easy access but the steep landing and takeoff trajectory can be a bit of a clincher during poor weather.

Hello Adam. Nice to have you visiting Cali again. Enjoy your adventures and make a lot of memories! 💖

I am glad Adam went back for the cactus candy. I found the flavor to be very mellow, but hard to describe.

So enjoyed watching as always. I felt like I traveled along! Thanks !
Welcome back to California, where the content is more interesting and varied than in Florida.
Beautiful down town Burbank!
Prickly Pear ANYTHING is so good!! We love it in AZ. My favorite is the Prickly Pear Lemonades. Yum!
Adam you gotta try Long Beach airport! It’s very cool and old school there too. Loving the flight experience videos 👍🏻
26:18 another Trains planes & automobiles moment there
I was saying the same thing!
When I flew in to Burbank I was surprised to have to get my luggage outside.. im glad you tried this airport ..
I flew into and out of the Burbank Airport and loved it. So played back and freindly people.
Can’t believe you passed on the Tacocat shirt! 🙂↔️
