Great tutorial mate, and nice vibes - I like it. Just one suggestion if I may - as a composer who's eager to compose for tracks that include world percussion, I'd really appreciate a score (in drum notation) visible on screen while you're practicing the pattern, in order to remember it better. It would help someone with a theoretical background like me but who doesn't (yet) have much practical knowledge about percussion (primarily a pianist and conductor). Something simple will do the job perfectly, for example one note with stem down for the low conga, and up stem for the higher tone conga. Kinda same as drum pattern are notated. Shouldn't take much time and will definitely help a ton to get the pattern right and compose for percussion as accurately as possible, before I can start to play myself ofc :) Cheers !

Hello! Thank you! I have thought about doing this for years. The main reason I have never done it is it being one extra step to finishing and publishing the video. These things already take forever to film and edit. I started adding written notation in links in the description but stopped. It’s a great suggestion. I will consider it. My college students seem to find it helpful and quite honestly so do I when I am learning from someone else. Thank you!

Thanks for sharing and breaking that groove down! Sounds like it'll fit really well with the song What's Going On, by Marvin Gaye :-)

Thanks for watching! For sure! It is a little different with the open tones at the end of the measure but pretty close to the groove on that song.
