Chris, I feel for you and your loss. I remember seeing your cat in your videos, I love all of mine, and I have lost some as well. It does feel like a huge hole is there, but there will come a time when you just remember all the love that you both had for each other and it makes you smile, not sad. I promise you! Take care hun, it will get better!
Mate, my cat was also called smudge and he was my best friend too, i feel for you, remember the happiness is all i can say, and keep producing your work, somewhere up there in cat heaven Smudge will be looking to see what you're doing, so create some good artwork for him....all the best

A thumbs down or thumbs down can mean a great many things; unfortunately RUclips only gives 2 options, nothing neutral. I have no idea why this video got a thumbs down; neither do you. Assuming a thumbs down is a total rejection of the artist and their work is a bit extreme and juvenile. For myself, the subject matter is not to my taste; however, that does not negate his skill or the lovely way he uses materials. I cannot express that in a thumbs up or down. All I can do is watch the video start to finish and smile.
Soooo I'm not the only person that thinks his voice is awesomely relaxing... lol.. as if he's talking 1 on 1 with you while sitting next to him vs across the room. And even then it would pull their attention in the room to it. Chris, I know you may have insecurities but DON'T! YOUR AWESOME... !!! Btw, you ever consider using air brush?
At my age,75, I have decided to concentrate on accomplishments, yes trying new challenges, but also celebrating where I am! Like seeing my highest achievements so far. You have established wonderful goals, well thought out, maybe recognizing your creativity and level of artistic skills. I understand the loss of you loved pet, mine has been gone for many years and I still dream of her, and sometimes when I am just waking I feel like she is in my bed, just where she always slept! I cherish these moments.
I've been eagerly looking forward to a video from you this month 🥺 I really enjoy your art style and all of your videos. I've been here since you did fanart and fantasy art Friday's, I always love seeing your artworks and I'm happy you're getting better. Take your time and don't stress. My art goals are improving in the fundamentals of art, human anatomy and all that, learn digital art, finish a sculpture of a dragon I've been working on for the past 2 years and have a crack at drawing my interpretation of the zodiacs.
I had the same problem with overthinking. I found myself uninspired and I was just feeling bad about everything I drew. But then I started to ,,not care" and just enjoyed the process and that led to improving my style and learning new things. Trying new techniques is always good and fun. We would like to see you just sketching or developing new skill. Your videos are always very inspiring no matter what you do.

WOW! This really blew me away. I didnt know how I would feel about the combo of these materials. The koi was pretty good but this one really nails it. It's like live-action stepping out of a cartoon. Awesome job! Might have to bust out my realism supplies!

With regards to putting pressure on yourself to upload completed/polished works of art all the time ... there was something I wanted to share with you that stuck with me since I created my RUclips channel. Someone told me to "document" instead of "create" - think of this youtube channel and your videos not as a finished polished product, but as a video diary, as a way to video record and document your progress. Documenting your trials and errors, your new endeavours, your experiments. A lot of social media is so hyper focused on perfection, instead of the actual blood and sweat behind it, so this advice rang so true for me. I hope it can resonate with you as well. I was so so so inspired by your inktober sketch books, I must have watched the 2019 one about 30 times :) thanks for that video where you broke the 3 sketches down. It really motivated me to grab some supplies and have a go. I hope that by following your process I will eventually get my own ideas of cool stuff to draw and that somehow my mind will work out how to make it realistic. My goal is to finish every piece I start. A lot of times I give up half way or even 3/4 of the way because I dislike it. But that's how you learn and improve. Thank you for this video Chris!
The art boxes are fun. I hope you find one you like. I think the story you had started with the red-caped traveler would be a great personal project for you. You've already put some thought into it and you could try out different mediums and techniques with your story-telling. On another note, I lost my cat, Ozzy yesterday. I'm so torn. He was my desk pal, my snuggle buddy, and my best bud. I understand where you're coming from. I know it's only been a day, but I'm missing him being here by my side so very much.
I've been watching you for a week or so, and I think that your art is amazing, and I can't wait to watch more, I know I'm late in watching this video, but I am praying for you and your loved ones. I wasnt sure about the posca pens for a long duration of the video, but in the final piece the contrast between the almost rendered Copic Skull and the Posca graphic elements convinced me. Very nice work!
Whatever you do, i'll support. Drawings like this with skull, smoke, copic, posca, cyberpunk mixed together is my favorite, but you make alot of other cool stuff too. Do what makes you happy 😁☠🤘

It sounds as though you are on a healthy path from what you said in your video. The major loss you experienced last was extremely difficult for you. I'm glad you are focusing on your health. Great job. Keep at it.
Have you ever heard of something called a Bullet Journal? It was originally thought up by Ryder Carroll and a lot of people use it to wind down and write out a to-do list and even just dump ideas into. Some people even use it to express their creative side. You could use it with your app as well so you still hear that satisfying sound, writing it down on paper just seems to make it easier to remember and being able to look at a page full of ideas might allow one to jump out at you. Also, amazing art as always!
I know how you feel about losing an animal I lost my dog to cancer an losing her helped my art grow in many ways, I’m sorry for your loss and your art was beautiful as it always is. As for a art goal I would say to try and get better at drawing full bodies.
Keep up the good work. 2020 was a rough year for all of us and has affected us in so many different ways so don't worry if you have to take breaks. The main thing is that you are healthy both mentally and physically.
Your art is amazing and seeing it get better and better is so inspiring. I don't draw (though I wish I could, i tried it years ago but gave up ..) but I am a needle felter, right now it hasn't been doing so well and I completely understand overthinking your art - I do the same thing, i hope to do better as you have as well. I love your drawings! I found some of your tutorials for drawing trees, Misty mountains etc really helpful as you explain things in such a simple, straightforward way that helped me with my basic skills. That said, I love the more complex art, too, especially the style in this latest video. Good luck with achieving your goals this year and try not to be too hard on yourself, your art is fantastic.
My art goals are to do more fantasy art and non realism. I do a lot of realism. I don't do Pateron do I know nothing about it. I love what you post on here. Mixam are a great print company with great prices and stickermule are excellent quality for stickers. They always have deals on too. My Art goals are to further improve with soft pastels and drawing Landscapes. You were a huge inspiration for me to get into landscape drawings and soft pastels because your video, when you first used Soft Pastels, really inspired me to find my favorite medium. Such fun watching you bring the skull 💀 to life with Copic and Posca. I do Scrawlr monthly art box, I quite like this as you get a surface and new medium each month, heads up though with Covid things are running late, this is a postage issue, things going to them and also there boxes being shipped, I don’t mind as I live in NZ and it’s coming from Scotland so I expect a delay but must say it’s quite a long delay, I would recommend Scrawlr as I’m having a blast and throughly enjoying my boxes. Great idea about the sketch book, ah figures pesky things like fingers lol enjoy and there’s nothing wrong with gloves if things aren’t going well. Thanks for a great video.
I think as far as the prints of your artwork go, I think it would be more lucrative for you to make those available to all your viewers so that everyone who truly loves your work can purchase them. As for your Patreon members, you could offer an upper tier where the member receives a larger version of a print that what is available for the non Patreon viewers. And, as an added bonus of being in an upper echelon, that Patreon member can choose from a particular theme (e.g. Dragons, Fanart, Fantasy, Inktober, etc.)

I've been watching you for a while now and I love your videos. I've been getting the Sketchbox subscription box and videoing myself using the supplies inside it and its been very ensighful into other art supplies that I'm not used to using. It's great! And gouache is wonderful once you get use to it. My goals for this year are to reach 1000 subs on my art youtube page, and draw every single animal on the endangered species list, for an art book. :)

I’ve lost a lot of pets.. loosing my rabbit Judy hurt so bad I loved him so much I’m fine now living with 5geckos and a bengal cat i still have Judy with me I had him cremated and I have him in a little bunny necklace is really cute I can’t wait to see you make you’re goals!!❤️ I have a cousin that has a really rare tumor right now and she has cancer..But we will fight! There is only 3 people in the whole world that has this tumor and there adults and she is only 9 I hope she will get through this we all will fight for her.
My partner and I lost our dog last year. We still don’t know what happened to make her so sick so suddenly. But we already had a new puppy at the same time and our dog Piper, she was like a mum to the puppy. After Piper passed away the three of us all had to be there for each other now that our goofy fluffy centre had been taken away. My partner and I continue to be sad and every now and then we let each other know and share a memory or give our puppy an extra big hug. But all in all we’re doing well. My art goals is to finish a book that I started last year. I think I’m down to the last 30 pages. And this year I would also like to maybe make a little more content for RUclips and post my work in general a little more in the online world.
Hey LethalChris! I got the Sibylline Meynet Mossery kit. It’s a gouache kit. It was perfect to suit my needs as a beginner. It is expensive, but a good value for everything it comes with. I think you would do very well with gouache.
I love your art! I like to do art as a hobby....I'm not that good at it but I am trying to improve. All of your art is so inspirational. I love the idea for you to get art boxes. I think they are really fun and have bought some in the past. My biggest issue is coming up with an idea to use the supplies properly. Sometimes I have no idea what to do. I know how you feel about losing an animal I lost my dog to cancer an losing her helped my art grow in many ways, I’m sorry for your loss and your art was beautiful as it always is. As for a art goal I would say to try and get better at drawing full bodies.
Keep up the good work. 2020 was a rough year for all of us and has affected us in so many different ways so don't worry if you have to take breaks. The main thing is that you are healthy both mentally and physically.

Your art is amazing and seeing it get better and better is so inspiring. I love your drawings! I found some of your tutorials for drawing trees, Misty mountains etc really helpful as you explain things in such a simple, straightforward way that helped me with my basic skills. That said, I love the more complex art, too, especially the style in this latest video. Good luck with achieving your goals this year and try not to be too hard on yourself, your art is fantastic.

My art goals are to do more fantasy art and non realism. I do a lot of realism. I don't do Pateron do I know nothing about it. I love what you post on here. My Art goals are to further improve with soft pastels and drawing Landscapes. You were a huge inspiration for me to get into landscape drawings and soft pastels because your video, when you first used Soft Pastels, really inspired me to find my favorite medium. Such fun watching you bring the skull 💀 to life with Copic and Posca. I do Scrawlr monthly art box, I quite like this as you get a surface and new medium each month, heads up though with Covid things are running late, this is a postage issue, things going to them and also there boxes being shipped, I don’t mind as I live in NZ and it’s coming from Scotland so I expect a delay but must say it’s quite a long delay, I would recommend Scrawlr as I’m having a blast and throughly enjoying my boxes. Great idea about the sketch book, ah figures pesky things like fingers lol enjoy and there’s nothing wrong with gloves if things aren’t going well. Thanks for a great video.

I think as far as the prints of your artwork go, I think it would be more lucrative for you to make those available to all your viewers so that everyone who truly loves your work can purchase them. As for your Patreon members, you could offer an upper tier where the member receives a larger version of a print that what is available for the non Patreon viewers. And, as an added bonus of being in an upper echelon, that Patreon member can choose from a particular theme (e.g. Dragons, Fanart, Fantasy, Inktober, etc.)

I haven't draw for awhile and I have a sketch book ,maybe I'll start drawing again this year too.
I've been watching you for a while now and I love your videos. I've been getting the Sketchbox subscription box and videoing myself using the supplies inside it and its been very ensighful into other art supplies that I'm not used to using. It's great! And gouache is wonderful once you get use to it. My goals for this year are to reach 1000 subs on my art youtube page, and draw every single animal on the endangered species list, for an art book. :)

I’ve lost a lot of pets.. loosing my rabbit Judy hurt so bad I loved him so much I’m fine now living with 5geckos and a bengal cat i still have Judy with me I had him cremated and I have him in a little bunny necklace is really cute I can’t wait to see you make you’re goals!!❤️
I have a cousin that has a really rare tumor right now and she has cancer..But we will fight!
There is only 3 people in the whole world that has this tumor and there adults and she is only 9 I hope she will get through this we all will fight for her.
I would love to see your take on a steampunk version of an aircraft. I think that those posca pens would be great for steampunk art.

My partner and I lost our dog last year. We still don’t know what happened to make her so sick so suddenly. But we already had a new puppy at the same time and our dog Piper, she was like a mum to the puppy. After Piper passed away the three of us all had to be there for each other now that our goofy fluffy centre had been taken away.
My partner and I continue to be sad and every now and then we let each other know and share a memory or give our puppy an extra big hug. But all in all we’re doing well.
My art goals is to finish a book that I started last year. I think I’m down to the last 30 pages. And this year I would also like to maybe make a little more content for RUclips and post my work in general a little more in the online world.

Hey LethalChris! I got the Sibylline Meynet Mossery kit. It’s a gouache kit. It was perfect to suit my needs as a beginner. It is expensive, but a good value for everything it comes with. I think you would do very well with gouache.
I love your art! I like to do art as a hobby....I'm not that good at it but I am trying to improve. All of your art is so inspirational. I love the idea for you to get art boxes. I think they are really fun and have bought some in the past. My biggest issue is coming up with an idea to use the supplies properly. Sometimes I have no idea what to do. So I canceled my subscriptions.
