    Great review Zeke! I love mine it’s my favorite purchase of 2023, the fact that it’s plug and play kind of blew my mind so many interfaces *cough* UAD lock you out of applications like Discord and I also had so many quality issues with live streams where I don’t have those issues with MT48.

    Hey man! Great video. I wanted to ask you how the compatibility with Windows has been in your experience. I have an Apollo Twin X and getting it to work properly with Windows Audio, Windows Applications, and more has been a nightmare. I just wanted to know if you've had ANY issues at all with getting it to work with other basic applications/setting it up. Is it basically plug and play? I also play games and for example I have to use this whole Voicemeeter setup ive put together in order for the Apollo to transmit my MIC into the game im playing which is incredibly annoying. Trying to get away from this if possible but still be able to Monitor with zero latency when recording. Thanks bro!

      It’s been smooth in my experience. Only took a quick driver download on windows and is plug and play on Mac. It does routine updates as well so I haven’t had any issues with compatibility or function. I’m familiar with Voicemeeter but why would that be required? Can’t you just set the input and sound to the Apollo from the in game menu etc?

      @@zekedgtl So in theory you would expect to be able to do what you just mentioned, but the thing is that UAD Apollos do not work properly with Windows Audio Drivers (WDM) so a lot of basic functionalities dont hold hands/work at all with Apollo. You can bypass this if you setup Voicemeeter Potato in a certain way but its a makeshift fix and sometimes doesnt even work.
      If you do a quick search you'll the the plethora of people that have had the same experiences. The Apollo really was just made for MAC OS and that's the way it was developed.
      Curtis king made a video explaining where he spent for months trying to learn to love the apollo but after the insane amount of issues its just something he had to let go of. I'm now in the same boat unfortunately.
      I really just need something I can rely on to work every time I need it to in all use cases. Whether its making a song, playing a game, hopping on a Zoom call etc.

      @@rivenlikemakar oh wow! I never knew. I never had my own Apollo to use long term. Yea in terms of compatibility that’s no problem at all

      @@rivenlikemakar no prob. BUT I will caution you that you definitely don’t need this expensive interface if all you’re planning to do it use it for gaming and everyday computer use lol. This is definitely for people who prioritize music production, voiceover work etc!
      There are much cheaper options to handle that job. Hope that helps.

    Hi.
    Let's say I want to use this to record a drumset with 10+ mics.
    How do I do that with this device ?
    Thank you.

      Several videos will explain that to you. You can also download the User's manual. You'll just have to plug a small device in the proper slot.

    im about to buy an interface, do you think going for this neumann over rme babyface pro fs and apollo twin x4 is a good choice?

    • @zekedgtl
      @zekedgtl  7 месяцев назад

      This Neumann is top performing in terms of dynamic range/noise floor & converter quality. It’ll ultimately depend on your personal use cases & budget. Aside from the absolutely unreal clarity audio I’ve witnessed from this, the internal DSP onscreen control was enough to sell me. It’s like a mini DAW console lol. You could get by without it , I don’t think you’ll regret anything at all by grabbing it. nonetheless all the aforementioned interfaces are great choices!

      Don’t overthink it just get the MT 48. I came from UAD it’s night and day. UAD Apollo is nice but I promise the fidelity of this interface will make you forget all about the unison hype and save you more money in the long run from not buying UAD plugs.

      Hi its pasible effekts from mt 48 uses for vst in DAW ?

    • @zekedgtl
      @zekedgtl  7 месяцев назад +1

      It’s possible to use the built in effects from the MT48 directly on the vocals and “bake them in” if you like. You can also use them for in ear monitoring for live audio input or both simultaneously.
      But I don’t believe you can use or control DAW 3rd party vsts directly with it if that’s what you’re asking.
