Yay, let's shit on a newly released device and tell people to not buy it just cuz of a small mistake with a firmware update 😀
the guys paid by valve. no respect for these shameless exploiters.
I’ve had my Ally since launch day, best handheld I’ve ever owned.
LOL ROG Ally plays more STEAM games than the STEAM DECK does. End of discussion between the two.
When it's not in the middle of a windows update
@m.devellis ....so....literally ZERO difference in comparison to playing steam games on a desktop??? It's NAITIVE platform? What a remedial argument. What's faster? Waiting for an update (for those who don't do automatic updating) to play a game that you can play on the Ally, or wait indefinitely, for a game that you can't play on the Deck. Lol. It's not even an argument. You spent your money first on a product that clearly can't do as much, and want to mitigate a poor decision with lame excuses. 👍🏽
mans angry because he bought a steam deck and the rog ally came out and it eats the steam deck alive 💀
He definitely has buyers remorse and cant just swallow his pride and admit he made the wrong choice.
I had the steam Deck and now the rog ally! I would choose the ally All the time! 😂 This guy just have no clue what he is talking about 🤣
Even with the bogus upgrade the asus rog ally is still better than the steamdeck!
Frr its better
Dude has no idea what he’s taking about me and a couple of friends bought this over the weekend and we’ve all had nothing but good times on it buy what you want not what these sponsored RUclipsrs tel you to buy
Having owned both, I still prefer my Ally. Losing a few FPS is nothing compared to losing HALF MY STEAM LIBRARY because SteamOS doesn’t support it.
I eventually sold my SteamDeck because no matter how “nice” or “streamlined” the experience, who cares if I couldn’t actually PLAY half my games? 😅
Why are hating so much !!!
It's up to you to update it or not and most people know before reciving thier rog not to update to 319, but i don't blame you you want more views and this is the right way to do it
The new update fixed all issues, I'm so satisfied.
I own both the steam deck and the ally. Both are soild devices. Fuck this fan boy shit. Every one forgets how rough things for the SD was when it came out.
Just buy a PC/Laptop at that point 💀
Just exchanged my ally for a solid gaming laptop that was on sale.
@@Gigaoveronly reasonable rog buyer out there😂good that you did that unlike most rog simps😂
i mean , the point of this device is for portability , unlike a chonky Gaming Laptop, you have to lug around a brick of a charger and mouse
Dont get me wrong , i still love Laptops in general, be it slim, basic, rugged or gaming focused ♥️♥️👍
@@JoshuaG lmao no difference than a laptop since this brick game has to have a charger connected to it outdoors unless you want an hour of use only. Besides, what is the point of maxing the settings if the device can barely survive 1 hour. Rather use a laptop then🤣

wow its like people forgot how buggy SteamDeck was at launch...
Now that's just 100% personal. You know they still can make updates to fix the performance issues, so no, buying the rog Ally instead of steam deck is always the best option (unless it's just out of your budget)
Yeah I saw this video and new the ally was the option to get I mean really you can’t compare it just makes more sense to get the ally over the steam deck I don’t want to be limited to steam games only and I don’t want to do a bunch of moding to have it run certain games. The ally has the steam deck beat I mean why would you choose a steam deck over a ally when it is literally a gaming pc in your hands you can get a monitor and set up a home pc gaming set up I mean come on. I know you steam deck fan boys can’t handle the fact asus put the heat on them with this ally I can’t wait to get my hands on one
Asus has really been going downhill ever since the 7800x3D incident
Seems like this video is no longer accurate, and I purchased the ROG Ally and do not regret it..!
Same this issue has been fixed a while ago
In the 3 weeks of research I've been doing between the SD oled the rog ally and the legion go I've seen this guy jump between all 3 another one I haven't heard of like 10 times saying the same thing. I know nothing about handhelds and know not to listen to this clown
I'd rather have a better screen, better refresh rate, more ram, and a better APU so instead of what you did i used my brain cells and bought the better product. How's the steamdeck for multi-player games with anti-cheat? Oh that's right it doesn't work with them lol
The Ally is better from a pure performance stand point but the trade off is u have to always be close to a outlet, which to me kind of defeats the purpose of a handheld, I'll take the oled deck
I got a huge question if anybody has tried it since most of us have a gaming computer, running windows and the asus ally runs on windows. Could we stream our main computer anywhere using the asus ally?
a big L for asus? says the steam deck supporter. steam deck has no good pricing, no performance, no battery, no screen quality and most importantly no good cooling
Youre aweful, I returned the deck for the ally and will not look back, i play it all! Thats a beast if a machine compared to the deck
I love my ROG so much better than i expected, playing The outer realms at medium setting with 50+ fps is amazing for a handheld.
I bought the ally and really happy since day one WITHOUT any troubles so your opinion is pointless for many peoples to stay polite
I think you got it backwards homie. If your an rog fan and you bought a steam deck you may have made the wrong choice
Not a fan boy, but a happy customer! My rog runs circles around steam deck! Don’t regret my purchase. That’s just my opinion.
Oh noooooo what should I do? Wait I know! I’ll go buy ANOTHER ONE to see if that will fix the problem. Yeah! That’s it..
ROG is made by Asus which has been giving some very bad hardware and customer service the past few decades...
I like it because it has Windows 11 and it can be a pc unlike a steam deck, tho Linux is better
Mf you are the one who called it Steam Deck killer
I'm buying the Ally because I have an asus gaming laptop, yeah its a retarded reason but Idc
I bought a steam deck and it was garbage compared to the ally. Who are you kidding? 😂
I use Asus gaming laptops but the Rog Ally is definitely Trash, Steam deck all the way
Okay i gotta know why does this guy makes me wanna buy it even more 😂😂😂 like is this a reverse psychology Marketing or something?
5D chess by Asus😂
Every now and then an update to anything misses something up I'm still getting one
unsubbed btw im done with your complaining about everything and over criticizing everything u dislike a little
But yet it will still out perform the Steam Deck significantly in fps..LMFAO
Yet you can’t play any popular AAA titles on the deck only indie games😂😂😂😂
I got both and the steam deck is dogshit compared to the ally. Even on 3.19.
Hey guys. What did that kid on the simpsons used to say? Oh yeah. Haha!
No i made the right choice bro, rog ally is way better than steam deck!
Well this didnt age well now that 3.22 and 3.23 came out with better performance. Not regretting my purchase of my Ally.
you still liking it? im buying one tomorrow for 500 bucks, and ots the extreme version so got it cheap
I don't care, as long as it can play GTA5, RDR2, and The Arkhamverse.
Idk why people keep bashing the Rog Ally, I have 2 steam decks since they came out, 1 Logitech G Cloud, and 1 Asus Rog Ally and I love the Ally. I tend to use the Ally more then my Steam Decks. Just expressing my personal experience.
I need help…
I don’t want to build my own pc, because I have no clue how to build, and shipping costs for each individual part is hella expensive.
So I saw a prebuilt pc that is slightly over 1000$ with these specs:
Intel i5 12th gen
RTX 3070
16g ram
512g ssd (not good, I know)
Which is the best option that I have seen.
Seems good for that price as long as the seller is reputable. I would like more ram myself, but 16gb seems to be the new standard for the recommended absolute minimum. Can always get a larger ssd later if you see it on sale.
@@XionSteel yea it is a known store in a famous shopping mall. (They said they might replace the graphics to a 4060 for the same price)
And they even said that I can choose the parts and they will build it and prepare it in a day.
I would rather have the 3070..
STEAMDECK OLED ALL THE WAY. ALLY USER'S IS COOK AFTER GN VID 😂
It actually runs better than steam deck while in performance and charging with new update brother
It runs better 1% of the time when windows isn't being a resource hog
Why so much hate on the Ally sheesh, I actually love it and I had both deck and ally, sold my deck and kept my ally. Trust me, the ally is a beast. If you got the money and can get it, go for it.
He just doesn't want any competition for his shitty PCs LMAO
Or "make a short with a hot take so I can get more clicks." 🥴
Does steam deck allow game pass? Nope. Ally has native game pass.
did you remember that steam deck just same worse when it launch
Bruh loves to complain for no reason. Man complains like a little girl
Isn't this the guy who said it was going to make the Steam Deck obsolete and you shouldn't buy a SD as a result?
This also happened with steam deck. Lmao I hate RUclipsrs.
not only do i want to buy a a Rog ally now, but my first born will be name Rog Ally
We don't care about what you think of the Asus Rog ally
After this video, I sold my deck and bought an ally
I’m team Lenovo legion go
Only good Win11 handheld
I recently bought Ally Z1 Extreme ❤and must say it's far far much batter than worst steam deck🤯 I love ❤rog ally extremely😍😍
For the type of games that i play, ally is perfect
I’d say don’t buy either. Buy a pc or laptop.
I got close to buying a Steam Deck in 2021-2022 but now decided to build a PC. I don't need portability
Ally is more powerful than the deck. Facts.
Asus hasnt really been that great when it comes to bios updates.
*cough* asus motherboards burning amd chips *cough*
i have an ASUS motherboard and gfx for 6 years without any problems. Lol. So i don't know what people are talking about.
@@MarvinZero-w8i it’s only a problem with the 7000 series cpus.
So basically the setting in bios that automatically overclocks the cpu(similar to intels xmp setting) is burning these amd cpus and asus is fully avoiding it and not giving people their warranty with their scummy tactics.
And what they tell you is to not activate the setting and that it’s best to keep it stock. Now imagine buying a high end motherboard and not being able to overclock the cpu, which is the whole point of a high end motherboard to begin with.
Software issues can be fixed. As with any bios update, they should never be updated until they are safe. That's with any brand, not just Asus.
can you suggest me a powerbank which the rog ally allows turbo 30 or 35 watt
Im still gonna buy it. I dont care about what others say
Me to
Nice try. Lol I have the SD and liked it when it came out, but doesn't tailor to a lot of gamers. Not everyone plays Genesis and Nintendo games on their SD. The Linus blocking some games cause of anti cheat and the lack of power is why so many go to the Rog Ally and now the Legion Go.
Asus is a team🤓 where Steam is a cult👁️
Hotfix already released. Fixes FPS drop.
