I just want to say that I am not a person who's a skilled cook at all. My mother went to culinary school and has been cooking pretty much her whole life. Made this for my family with a few adjustments (realized I didn't have jalepenos, but used cayenne pepper and spicy chili powder) and it was a HUGE hit. Huge. My mother said she could eat it all day. Thanks so much!
I made chili based on your recipe. I used what I had on hand: ground turkey, sweet onion, celery, carrots, crushed tomatoes, kidney and pinto beans and I added light brown sugar. I used the seasonings you suggested and (I used beef bouillon and veggie stock). It tastes great! I ate 2 bowls of the chili, now I am stuffed! Thank you!!
Made this tonight, and followed the recipe exactly except I omitted the jalapeños due to my parents spice tolerance, and it was Awesome!!! Thank you for posting!!
I made this recipe two days ago for my family of six and gotta say, it's great! The recipe is easy to follow, the ingredients are simple and fun to mix together. I'm a teenager who's been experimenting with more foods and this was one of the first I did. Love it :)
@@SunshineBear1211 thankfully ours has loved to cook and bake beside and with me & now she's 14 & if I'm not going to be home by 7:15pm she will make dinner. Last night she made spaghetti and we don't use premade sauces, we make it by scratch & she does a wonderful job. The night before that she made boneless pork chops, knows how to get the sear off that hot pan, homemade mashed potatoes and a fresh pineapple peeled & cored (she needs help with the pineapple cutter as it can take fingers off) & baked in the oven in a coconut oil, cinnamon & light brown sugar, vanilla, salt that caramelizs in the oven while baking, , including using the hand held smasher as the beaters went and broke making cookies & since we have a KitchenAid for large family dinners and a hand smasher I just haven't replaced it. You have no idea how much help it has been for her to cook dinners during the week when I'm not home since I'm over taking care of our toddler grandson's. She can take the cast iron pan & make it sizzle & cook a ribeye steak to med rare & finish it with a brown butter Betty as well as any chef. Now, cleaning up her dishes, well that's another story. I'm blessed that my husband of 32 year's, and our grown children all know how to cook. Our youngest son cooks dinner for his wife & his self while I'm giving the boy's their nightly bath & doing bed time. Now, If I could get her to properly load & unload the dishwasher, and to finish the laundry properly instead of throwing it on top of the machine so it's a wrinkled mess, well then she'll be ready to leave for college & I won't be worried, lol.
I made this chili today and it was FANTASTIC!!Your instructions were clear and concise, easy to follow. I thought no one could make chili like my mom because when mom made anything I liked, I'd try to duplicate it according to taste. Well, my dear sister, you hit the taste exactly like my mom used to make. Well done! And thank you for precious memories. Blessings to you always ❣️
If you are reading the comments to decide whether or not you want to make this recipe, DO IT. This is by far THE BEST one I have tried. Every time I make it the result is absolutely AMAZING! My best to the chef and thank you for sharing your skills with the rest of the world.
Bruh when I tell you I made this today and not only was it absolutely delicious but it’s also nutritious in the sense that it’s composed of protein, fiber and veggies. Girl this is literally the best recipe I’ve found on RUclips. The vegetables give the chili the perfect crunch and taste. This recipe also makes the perfect amount for me to meal prep! I enjoyed it so much! I poured it over whole wheat spaghetti then had a side of roasted sweet potatoes
I have made this chili for years but have never commented. This is THE best classic chili recipe ever. So simple and so good. My family loves it. Thank you!
When I find something I like I stick with it. From 1973 to 1982 Iate the exact same lunch every day. Turkey chili in a bowl made out of bread.Bread bowl, first you eat the chili then you eat the bowl. There's nothing more satisfying than looking down after lunch and seeing nothing but a table.
I don’t even leave comments on videos but this recipe deserves its due praise! 🙌🏼 The ingedients are so versatile and this recipe is so easy to follow you can modify it to fit any style without losing flavor. I went low carb with this and the taste was insane!
I always come back to this recipe, and this year I will be making it for my children’s school lunch! ❤ Edit: I just looked in my cabinet and saw that I already have all of the seasonings, and many of the other ingredients as well. I’m smiling because I definitely watched this video when I started to get serious about learning to cook very well! Awwww. RUclips really is a life university! 😂😂

Made this for the first time this weekend! Great tasting recipe! Thank you for sharing. I recommend to anyone wanting to make chili for the first time! Easy and inexpensive recipe!
This chili is AMAZING! I added a few different things and everyone LOVED it! I did chili beans, chili beans (pinto beans with mild sauce), kidney beans, 2 lbs meat, onion, canned green diced chilis (in place of jalapeño), 1 celery stock (all I had), beef broth (never used before and it makes a difference!), minced garlic, chili powder, salt, pepper, cumin, tomato paste, canned fire roasted diced tomatoes (didn’t drain- medium). Didn’t have bell peppers so completely skipped those. Soooo tasty! 10/10 recommend. I’m not a big chili fan- but this was exceptional!
Last night I made this chili for my American husband, it’s first time I cooked and ate chili, I had no idea how it’s supposed to taste. Well… he was absolutely happy ! He told me it’s one of best chilies he ever had! We live in China , I didn’t find jalapeños but I used long green Chinese pepper and couldn’t find oregano, also I used natural tomatoes, but worked alright. Im so glad to call this recipe as one of my husband’s favorite dinner dishes. Thank you.
