FlyWire is about exploring flight and the freedom this incredible experience brings us on a personal level. Flying has always captured the imagination and excitement of living life to its fullest. Hi, I'm Scott Perdue. In a former life I flew the F-4 and F-15E, more recently I retired from a major airline. I've written for several aviation magazines over the years, was a consultant for RAND, the USAF, Navy, NASA as well as few others, wrote a military thriller- 'Pale Moon Rising' (still on Kindle). But mostly I like flying, or teaching flying. Some of the most fun I had was with Tom Gresham on a TV show called 'Wings to Adventure". We flew lots of different airplanes all over the country. Now with FlyWire I want to showcase the fun in flying, share the joy and freedom of flight and explore the world with you. Make sure you subscribe if you want to go along for the ride!

Scott … this is exactly what I would want to see! I’m 74 yrs old and crippled and since I was a child have loved airplanes. A friend of our family had a WACO UPF-7 but I never got to ride in it before it was sold. I never got to OSHKOSH either, but I feel I’ve been there because of your video. Thank You Sir!

I liked this format, Scott. It was more like being there and wandering around than the average Oshkosh replay. You picked some great, out of the ordinary, birds to focus on. I mean...we all love Mustangs but I have never experienced a water landing in an Albatross and that Helldiver was spectacular. Thanks for sharing.

Hi Scott! Greetings from a fellow pilot, aircraft owner, and Texan. I currently own a P28S (Turbo Arrow III), based at 1T7 (Kestrel Airpark). I have been to OSH three times (2013, 2015, and in 2020) and I loved it. I hope to return in a couple of years since it never gets old for me.

The Corsair and P51 that were letting people get in belongs to the Mid-America Flight Museum in Mount Pleasant, TX. When I talked to Scott on Thursday he said that over 2000 people had sat in the P51 so far that week. Scott Glover and his staff are good people and truly care about these WWII and older aircraft. Airplanes and Coffee will be at the museum in November.

Scott, Having been to OSH and flying in about 17 times, I was there all through the 90s and up to 2006 and again in 2023. You have the best overall video yet. I love the Albatross footage especially the engine start with the co-pilot counting blades. I remember counting blades in the CV440 and DC-7F i got a few hours in. Your photography of the Albatross (water) takeoffs were the best. Thank you so much, big radios make the best music, but V-12's ain't bad.

Thanks for giving us a taste of the event. Not a pilot or plane owner, but I like most anything mechanical. The wife and I used to do two week trips on a Goldwing motorcycle, one year we put OshKosh on our agenda. When we arrived we inquired about tickets to get in and walk around and look at and take pictures of the planes, that’s when we discovered that you have to be a member of the EAA in order to get in. Membership and tickets for the two of us was going to be something like $150, we passed, so this is the next best thing.

Love my dad’s steed, the horsey one. My brother (older by 3 yrs) and me were there he said, when dad did ‘batics over our summer lake. I have never remembered, was probably 2. .. Dad was playing then, like when he beat up a nearby lake with an Orenda version Sabre. Heard from by my first summer job supervisor there, older enough than me.
