So true. Whether it's beautiful "new age" music like this or noisy experimental shoegaze rock like Shizuka, it just seems like a never ending untapped market for us. This really is a beauty.
Prussian blue has portrayed an emotion that I did not think possible to be portrayed through music. The insignificance and scale of the individual, an empty hopelessness of the masses of humanity, the endless swaths of sea and land, the images, photos and memories known only to god. Looking for a photo, lost media, simply to never find it. But the knowledge of its existence persists - You are simply one individual. The past loves and friendships that flourished that have long since passed with its hosts, of which were not significant enough to be publicly documented. A large, empty volcanic beach on a stormy day in the north of Hokkaido; where the sea rustles and whirls independently of you - you are simply one individual. Genuinely beautiful, unlike anything I've ever heard before.
If you like this one, you may like Takashi Kokubo and others of this genre. I have a list with his name as the title, along with Dan Gibson and others. Check it out for some great melodies, nature and music. Love Chris
This is such a profound album. I've listened to it many times now. I love the varied emotional colors woven into this piece. It's more than just "relaxation" music, that's for sure!
I listened through all of Yoshimura's discography, moved on to Takashi Kokubu and now I'm just going through an ever-expanding playlist of recommendations. I wonder where I'll end up...
Wow, this one is stunning. Love the emphasis on harp in this release. It has a more classical feel than the other volumes in this series, early 20th century/romantic stuff. It reminds of Debussy's Nocturnes, but also La Mer, in the way that it evokes the sea. Listeners might really enjoy some of the harp music on Lavinia Meijer's album Voyage, which includes harp versions of Satie and Debussy pieces and more, or, the compilation album of new age music, 'I Am the Centre'. Anyways, thanks for bringing this great music to me, sba. All the best.
yeah i immediatly thought of "de l'aube à midi sur la Mer", first mvt from the symphonic poem composed by our lord and saviour Achille Claude Debussy The harmony, style and all is quite different but it's almost impossible to not make the connection. Anyways it's always a great pleasure for our ears to feed 'em with some spiritual food
It's like the complete life cycle of man using the tides as a metaphor. The beginning has a spring like lightness to it, the beginning of life. The ending had a bittersweet note to it, with the dark violin sound hovering like the darkness of experience over a melody that still retains some of the innocence of the spring melody. It's like the winter of life...in the sea.
Choveu a madrugada toda por aqui, o que não é comum para a época. Ao que parece, o RUclips percebeu o clima agradável da manhã cinzenta, com cheiro de grama molhada e café fresco, e resolveu recomendar-me esta obra-prima.
I find myself coming back to this album on a daily basis. It is my gravity. What holds me to earth when I feel at odds with everything else trying to pry me from my peace. This album IS peace.
This is lovely! As others have mentioned, this has a definite classical vibe, very reminiscent of Debussy. What a find! May the gods bless the one who uploaded this, and the algorithm that brought it to me!
Oh man!!! I am doing some preparation & research for my visit at Sintra, Portugal and just read the article about 'Quinta da Regaleira' Now i think this album fits this place perfectly.
Wow, Tomoyuki. Must say this gave me so much nostalgia, excellent progressions. The harp does much, everything gives it a nice bit of atmosphere. Could listen to this forever if i could, i really want to contact you but dont know wether you are alive or dead >: But wow, awesome!!
I absolutely love your channel..I've gotten so into this type of sound..Wetland by Hiroshi Yoshimura might be my favorite still but either way, fantastic stuff...Any idea how much of this stuff is available on vinyl? I've done a little digging but I'm not that great at finding stuff apparently lol..I know it's pretty hard to find though in general from what I've seen..Any help would be greatly appreciated!
Really nice and unique album. I wish the album artwork fit it more. I feel like it should be some kind of combination of fairy tale and perhaps something more modern or "cool" like an anime style or something. Still great music. That is what matters.
Japan feels like a box full of hidden gems since most Japanese music has not reached the west and a wider audience yet
Japan is love even though I have never been to japan
RUclips is putting me on so much sounds from Japan recently! Like this
The land of spirits and samurai is strange and beautiful indeed

This is the most nostalgic album I ever listened too. Gives off a type of feeling you remember some how? It's pleasurable.
