Optometry student here.. be careful gluing stuff underneath your lashes because that's where your oil glands are for your tears. Unless you are seriously experienced or confident, I would advise not doing this in order to avoid infections or clogged oil glands
The danger of putting artificial lashes under the natural lash line is the risk of causing corneal abrasion or ulcerations that can go on to cause infection, scarring, and possibly even the loss of the eye if the infection goes untreated," Quoted from Professor Hugh Taylor
Loads of people heat their curler and blow dry their lashes. Also, many people use tweezers placing their lashes. Lash glue is only dangerous if you get it IN your eye, and as long as you're not suffering tremors, you should have no problem placing them. It's actually more dangerous to line your waterline.
Plus you risk ripping your lashes more when putting it directly on your lashes vs just laying it on top. I’d try it but it definitely wouldn’t be often.
You risk more damage by lining your waterline than you do by applying your lashes this way. Unless you have tremors or something, you can easily place them where they don't touch ANYTHING except your lashes, and the glue will not rip your lashes out. If you are remotely worried about pulling out your lashes, hold a warm, damp washcloth on your eye for 20-30 seconds first to loosen the bond of the glue.
I tried this trick once, I do not recommend. The lashes fell from the lash line into my eyes and felt very scratchy as I was trying to stay calm to get them out.
Thank you SO much for this! I have naturally long curly eyelashes, but they're very blonde. When I want to wear false lashes, I fight every time with getting them placed on top of my natural lashes. It is such a huge pain! Can't wait to try these tips!
Thank you so much for this video. When I first heard about wearing lashes underneath I was terrified by the very thought of it but I tried your method and it has changed my makeup game! I won’t go back to wearing them on top.
Contact lens wearer here! I’ve been doing this for maybe 6 months now and it works great! It takes a bit of practice so if you’re trying this hack for the first time try cutting up your falseys into smaller sections or try it with an accent lash, it is much easier to apply this way and won’t irritate your eyes. I also have hooded, almond shaped eyes so this works great for me. I use a latex-free glue and i find much more comfortable than any other method.
I do this sometimes- TIP: a less dangerous way to do this would be to cut the lashes into 3s. It’s so much easier/safer and it looks beautiful. I don’t do it anymore because I don’t have time, but just passing the advice along
I've been doing this for a month now. No infections, just infectious compliments! lol, haha! This may not work for all, but it DEFINITELY worked for me. Thank you Pretty Lady! :) New Subbie!
Girl, my eyes are burning for you. No. Hell Nah. I'd rather wear them up top with a ton of eyeliner to disguise them then to potentially blind myself. Thank you.
i've been using this hacks for YEARS!! this is honestly such a great hack, people ask me all the time if those are my natural lashes but when i explain how i really put them on they are in awe- love your vids!
I use translucent powder on my lashes before applying mascara and it works it makes them less clumpy , nicely lifted and curled too that lasts all day long
Girl! I just tried your hack after searching how to apply false lashes. And to be completely honest, I was intimidated applying them to myself. But you're hack was amazing. They look super natural! They give my eyes such a pop and it was super easy to apply! Thank you, thank you, thank youuuu!!
I love this, and thank you for this tip/hack it's been so helpful.Even though I'm pretty good at doing/applying my own make up I always struggled with the false eyelashes,no matter what and how I did it.I couldn't get them on right and it would take me forever, they looked crooked or wouldn't stay on at all. This works great for me and looks even better!
I tried this hack yesterday and I even slept in the lashes! They are still on! And now they look even more natural. Thanks for the brief, helpful and easy to follow tutorial! Ps. I washed my face and avoided the area around my eyes, so I wouldn’t disrupt the glue
I recently switched to the self adhesive lash cluster that are designed to apply under your natural lashes and it was a game changer for me! No nasty glue and i look natural and not bizarre like i did with strip lashes
This is honestly one of the best beauty hacks that I've seen. I figured it looked easy enough for me to do, so I tried it..... to my pure joy-it worked great! My lashes looked full, long, and even natural. Thank you so very much for sharing this with us all!
Francesca ictbs I never saw her put it IN her eye. Yes she put it underneath her natural eyelash on the base of the lashes but yet on top of the falsie.
First of all as a songwriter--you rock by promoting the music !! It gets so taken advantage of lately! I was allergic to the adhesive wondering if you have a video on magnetic lashes yet?
Omg this is amazing! Right after watching this i tried it out and it actually works. It feels so much more comfortable than putting them on top bc they dont seem to pop up and poke the lid. And the best of all..no eyelinerhastle😥
This is the first time I have heard of putting on false eyelashes under your real ones,, I would think they wouldn't stick.. It looked super easy to do.. Great video,, Thank you so much for sharing...
Awesome hack. Because my daughters were so envious and kept saying I wish I’d got your eyelashes momma. Never laughed so much I finally told them about your hack I had so much fun with this. Thank you 🙏
@@kandicecruise4219 I’ve only had succes when cutting the lashes into sections or buying the cluster or accent lashes. Also kiss falscara lashes are made to be put underneath your lashes and are the EASIEST I’ve found and the only ones I could do for a while lol
I do this hack already and it takes a little practicing but it’s worth it! They honestly even feel more comfortable to wear and they look more natural than wearing them on top.
I've tried this before and I have to say if you suffer from allergies and or hay fever the glue will irritate the crap out of your eyes! I look like I just hit a bong after doing this my eyes were so damn red and irritated and watering! Yes it looks natural, but glue that close to my eyeball! NO WAY!

This hack looks so good on you. I wonder if you put them on the skin where you’re supposed to tight line or you stick them on your eye lashes? I wish there’s a different camera angle. Thank you!
Applying UD primer potion to the lashes before curling and mascara is a great tip. I discovered this when accidentally getting primer on my lashes. They hold curl so much better.
Brilliant idea however the glue could be toxic to the eyes overtime. The glue may not be opthomologist tested. They look great but this might be dangerous. I could be wrong.
Let the glue get tacky before putting it on. Also blink just before putting it on. This takes practice and is not as easy as it looks, I have been doing it for a year. I’ll never go back to over the lash tho.
Yep! Gonna try this later today. Ive heated my eyelash curler since I was a teenager. I dust my lashes with cornstarch but Ive never thought to try lid primer. Cool. Thanks.

Very true! I used to get eye styes often. I give up mascara and eyeliner and now I'm good

I agree. I work for an Ophthalmologist and this is one of the reasons we see often in patients that come in.
It’s all fun and games until someone gets glue in their eye.

Yes...not me i'll do it the traditional way
People don't try it unless you want to damage your eye! Safety first.
You risk more damage by lining your waterline than you do by applying your lashes this way. try using an oil cleanser to remove the lashes after! no strong pulling necessary. just rub the cleanser in until the falsies gently peel off.
