For all the people scared of getting glue in their eyes, a) the glue is probably no worst than the Makeup we put on our eyes. Since it’s glue that’s made specifically to go around the eyes, it’s probably ok.
The other part is that, when you use false lashes you aren’t supposed apply the lashes with the soaking wet glue. You are supposed to wait for the glue to get a little tacky and then stick them on! So the glue will be a little dried before you apply them!
That's my fear!!! I freak out everytime I do it....I've failed more than 5 times so I've basically given up on them..
yikes the glue I have dries fast so I gotta apply it wet
Right to everything you said!
agree!! plus by experience I can say liquid eye liner in your eye hurts way worst but practice makes perfect . thank you 😊
What are your thoughts on wearing bottom false lashes? To maybe give it a more dramatic look? Would u go for it
From someone who wears false lashes everyday... I can't believe I've been doing it wrong. They look so good this way! I'm never going back 😍
thank youuu I'm happy you liked the video 😘honestly I can't go back either .😂 I love this technique .
C_Marie I do the individual lashes a doing underneath like this. They last me 2 weeks
I just tried false eyelashes once and created a giant mess! How do you remove the dried glue when you take them off so you can reuse them? One went on great, the other eye looked pretty awful and by the time I pried the dried glue off of them, they looked like a plucked chicken and aren't usable...Help me, please!
Kathy Beamer usually if they are individual lashes then throw them out. If ur using strip lashes use baby oil. Or water. The glue usually peels right off. I've been doing this technique for 5 yrs. And do it with hair bonding glue. Use very little. It usually peels right off if wet and doesn't pull ur natural lashes out
Thank you so much for the advice! I used strip lashes and failed miserably but I'll keep trying.....
To everyone who against this without trying it: I was too. Then I tried it, and I LOVE IT. It is not as scary as it appears to some, honestly the glue doesn't get in your eyes and it's not that much closer than the regular way. BEST OF ALL ITS SOOOO EASY!!! I NEVER EVER could get my lashes on, I love lashes and have a whole box of them, but NOW I CAN USE THEM FINALLY!!!! THIS WORKS!!!
im glad this work out for you thank you for the positive feed back💕😊
Jocelyn Marcial & Snook Witham ~ what kind of lashes would you recommend for a beginner like myself? It sounds like you both have a love for lashes, so I’ll trust your advice! 😊
Smh flexing on us
How do you get them off?
What are your thoughts on wearing bottom false lashes? To maybe give it a more dramatic look?
When I first started wearing eyelashes I put mine on just like you're doing because I think it's a lot easier and looks great. I slept on my friends sofa without taking them off and a piece got up in my eye.... kinda behind it. It hurt so I went to E.R. ... they had to num my eye but it was still hard to get it out. They thought they were going to have to do surgery. ... my point is plz, plz be careful and don't sleep with them on.
Thank you for sharing that’s really scary
After searching all over RUclips for a easy lash tutorial that is EASY and NATURAL looking, this is by FAR the best video!!!! Thank you sooo much beautiful 💕
I've been doing this for the past 3years putting lashes on the upper waterline bc i CANNOT apply them correctly on top it makes me maddd! I always thought i was wrong for doing this lol
I feel like nothing will look better than applying them under I love it so much Im now struggling to apply them on top again ..
Do you re use the same eye lashes like dont you run the risk of eye infections
I have the same problem as you! I just can't put the falsies on top of my eyelashes, so I use them underneath because I find it so much easier to do 😂
Do you feel I'm like your lashes decrease after doing this a lot ?
@@suzu.petals same here 😂
Definitely gonna try it underneath! My lashes are so curly i can never get them close to lash line
Mia W samee omg it’s really aggravating
i wish i had a problem of curled lashes haha mine are straighter than a board
@@siri_siri4709 same...so i have to curl them and when i do they are to long so they get in the way. I have LONG but STRAIGHT lashes , i feel the pain of both worlds lol
How has it been??? Curious
I'm still learning how to do them on top of my lashes. Now they do them under?...Ugh !
2008MrsKim Same girl same 😅
Its easier putting them under.xx
African American women started doing them under with hair bonding glue. and it actually became very popular. They look very natural. Your better off learning from the bottom because they stay longer and look better
2008MrsKim 😂😂
IKR, and I think maybe 10+ years from now people are gonna be wearing them both on top and underneath.
Thanks to you I’m a pro and putting those wispies underneath instead of on top! I use a toothpick to apply the glue and I only cut the lashes into two sections! They definitely look natural
Does the glue touch your real lashes ? How do yu remove the without pulling out your real lashes?
@@pandarush. yes the glue touches my lashes but I use eye makeup remover to get them off. But yes I’ve pulled some lashes out
I’m trying KISS DIY lash kit now. Check it out.
I’ve been doing my lashes like this for about 4 months now after seeing a tik tok and I’m getting so good at it and I’m so proud bc I sucked at lashes before, either way, top or bottom. This way looks SO MORE NATURAL and even than placing them on top, idk why but it does. Sorry for yelling but plz try this if you suck at putting them on the top. I made myself do lashes everyday for 2 weeks, even if it was the only make up I did for that day, until I got the hang of it! Totally worked, also the new “Duo Quick-Set” 30 second glue in the cobalt blue packaging works the best out of all the glues I’ve ever tried! I’ve never had them come up or lift off in the corners like with the
Original duo glue,. They even stay put when sweating and swimming, you have to soak a cotton pad in micellar water and leave them sitting your natural lashes/eye for about 5 minutes to get the glue to release from your natural lashes. I always put a thin layer of waterproof mascara on my natural lashes making sure to get the top and bottoms of the lashes ,before going in with the fake lashes, blends them better and gives the glue something to adhere to rather than just adhering to your natural lashes, makes it easier to take off too!
Thank you soooooo much for all your tips and tricks. I will buy that glue and will remove them that way. I suck at applying lashes but you gave me hope 🤗💜
Kimberly Mej I should have also mentioned that the garnier WATERPROOF makeup remover micellar water (with the blue top) removed them the best, and didn’t destroy the lashes. don’t ever use neutrogena makeup remover or wipes to take of fake lashes bc for some reason I’ve had it eat away and ruin some of my lashes, it will eat away at the band until it’s completely dissolved. Ruined several expensive pairs this way. I highly recommend getting one of those weird looking metal lash tweezer things also, helps sooo much, wait until the glue is almost see thru, partly opalescent, then apply. Gosh I need to just make a video lol there’s so many small helpful tips I keep thinking of haha
Girrrrlll you gotta let that get more tacky! Maybe it was just the lighting lol I do this technique regularly too, but I let it get so tacky it’s on the verge of being clear. That white wet glue was just giving me anxiety lol great video though!
I was on youtube and did come across someone else doing this Last night. So tried it today and it's brilliant!!! Look's so natural i Love it. Apparently celeb stylists have been doing it this way for years! ❤ so glad to of found this way of doing false eyelashe's 👑👁😍😘
How to glue your eyes shut in 3 easy steps
GBSheridan 😂😂😂😂😂
😂😂😂😂
GBSheridan 😂😂😂😂😂
Actually, I find this way super easy for me. I can’t actually do it the other way 😂 But I’ve never glued my eyes shut. Yet. 😂
GBSheridan 😂😂😂😂
I’ve been doing this method for over 8 years. It’s more natural and last longer and with practice it gets easier. Start off by cutting the strips in 3 and gradually move to two but that’s the best way since everyone’s eye shape is different. It makes it easier to handle and apply when you cut the strip into separate pieces
I LOVE this so much, I always thought bhad bhabie had lash extensions on but turns out she just used false eye lashes and just applied it under her lashes, tried this today and it looks like I got eyelash extensions I love it and so comfortable
Ok but why was this easier than sticking them on top 🤭
Rebeca Escobar it really is 😁😊 specially with time practice makes it easier 😁😁
If you have super curly lashes this is perfect 😍
I use black lash glue. The glue color dries to match the color of the lash.
I didn't know they made black glue. Thanks for the tip! What brand of glue and lashes do you use?
@@BlueEyedCat223 They're black lash glue located at Cvs,Target,Walmart, Beauty Supply, and many other places. Just have to look, they're usually around the white & clear lash glue.
@@britneygrecia4521 Thx for letting me know. 😊
Hair glue keep it the longest but dont put too much on it..
Clear is better
I cut mines in half, versus putting the whole lash on under my eye. So easy!! Look natural.
Charletta Coleman I do this way too. Totally work! 😃
What are your thoughts on wearing bottom false lashes? To maybe give it a more dramatic look?
Ohhhh I can’t wait to try this! I was just considering buying some of those lashes that are meant to go under the eyes, but I have a ton of extra strip lashes so it’s great to know I can just make my own :D
Yes😊😊🥰
I will upload a new tiktok on this technique later today as well this has worked for me for years I’m so happy this video helped you 😊
Tiktok: Jocelynmarcial_
This is the way I get it done in the shop. You make it look so easy. I'm going to try it myself.
Jocelyn, Thanks so much for demonstrating your new technique for applying the lashes (underneath) the natural lashes. You are the first You Tuber that I have seen utilizing this technique and it definitely does look a LOT more natural. This was very ingenious of you! I wanted to ask you which eyelash glue and eyelashes you recommend. Which eyelash glue works best and lasts the longest?
i honestly think its great to put them under your eyelashes look so natural its a lil bit hard but its all worth it for the natural look
Omg sharp tweezers so close to eyeballs...I feel like I'd be flinching so hard and like the glue right there would have my ridiculously sensitive eyes just red and watery and makeup running everywhere...nonetheless, I'm trying this, lol
When I saw that tweezer near her eyes all I kept saying was omg girl stop stop stop, I was scared for her.
How did it work out??
😂😂😂😂
you explain very good for people like me who have not been doing false eyelashes...I used to just use mascara.but now I like false eyelashes.you have taught me 2 ways to try.....THANK YOU VERY
donna rothamer 💕💕 NP I’m happy it helped u 😊😊thank you for watching.
I agree! You make me feel more confidant about trying this! Thanks for sharing. I am going to subscribe to your channel, even though my eye area is mature. I am looking forward to learning more from you! Much love!
tried this before, it works. I have an old friend who used to do this and i said “are you wearing lashes? It looks so natural” and she told me about it
WOW!! I'm impressed! I'd never know those were fake on the one side you did them underneath. Amazing. I might try this, but with my luck, I'll get glue right in my eyeballs..yikes!! 😱 I'm sure there's a learning curve to this. New subbie here! 🤗
thank you😊 The learning curve is practice lol. The first time I did it it took me over 25 min and now I can apply them in less than 5 min, now I can't go back 😂😊
I've watched a million videos and have never had any success before trying this method!!!!! THANK YOU! THANK YOU! THANK YOU!
savvyshoelady yaaay 😁😁 so happy it worked for u 💕💕 thank you for the love ❤️
I've been doing this for about 2 years. It is a game changer! No smudging mascara and beautiful lashes that look like extensions Plus they are about $2 a set. I use the black brush on glue however and no mascara with Arell wispies.
Oh my gosh! Thanks for posting this video. I tried it and it looks and feels SOO much better than on top. I just ran it from the middle to the end of my lashes. Looks stunning.
L Knits NP so happy it worked out for u 💕💕😁😁
I just tried this for the first time and I love it!!! It looks soooo much better
Thank you for trying them both out! I love applying lashes to the bottom but it's nice to see a side by side comparison.
I use the glue Falscara, it's the best for this method...I loved it!!
you were the first person I've seen to do this technique and later down the line I see that companies that are selling lashes that are pre-cut claiming that they're attached underneath and they're probably stole your idea
I just ordered some mink strip lashes which will be my first time using them as I always use individual lashes. I absolutely agree with her on chopping up the strips because that’s what I plan on doing. However I’m going to cut mine into smaller sections so it can last longer. That white glue is ugly and is contrary to all the black mascara and lashes. I recommend using hair bonding glue. Eyelash glue rips your natural lashes off and gets super hard like cement. You can wet hair bonding glue and they slide right off
Okay. Tried it. To me it was easier than applying them the "normal" way AND it looks amazing, but now my eyes are watering and won't stop. I'm not going anywhere tonight so it doesn't matter but if I were actually going out and cared what I looked like this continuous watering would annoy TF out of me and ruin my makeup. Stupid sensitive eyes. :(
so sorry it didn't work out for you :( my advice is try to put it closer to your lash line and give yourself time in between each section . If you feel your eye is getting watery just give your eye a brake then try agian . its just practice girl give it time.😘
DaysFlyBy007 Im not sure if I’m replying to this too late but I also have very sensitive eyes. I tried this glue from Walmart by the brand Kiss. It’s latex free and a brush on. It’s super inexpensive and a great brand. I also use their lashes and both have worked out very well for me.
Give it 2 days to get use to it. If it still dơesnt get better then take them off. I have sensitive eyes too. The same thing happened to me but worser.
Mine too
This is genius omg I tried it lastnight and it looked sooo good like i got lash extensions 😱 it looks great on my hooded eyes ughhh thank you!!
Not sure I would want that glue so close to my eye... chemicals too close.
meowjamm same
meowjamm its honestly fine I do this all the time
Alice Kho it's the long term effects you should be worried about. Best wishes to you!
meowjamm i tried this method today and i cant do it at all so i’ll stay with the normal application ..
exactly!!!
I do this all the time it's the best method for a natural look 💕
I do the under lash method only !! However I don't cut it into pieces nor put on mascara but I do cut the strip to fit my eye
Literally undetectable unless you over glue .... I love it
first time applying them!!! it was sooooo easy!!
Thank-you for taking the time to show us both looks. This was a great tutorial!
Linda Leigh Johnson NP thank you for watching I’m glad u liked my video 💕💕
Has anyone tried this with contacts? I love the look but I have extreme fear of putting glue so close to the eye and with me being a contact wearer it makes me more nervous.
I only tried it ones with contacts for a halloween look and I had no problem .😊
I’ve tried with contacts and it didn’t bother me at all, u can’t tell they’re there at all
I put my contacts in my eye when I am done with my makeup
Terri B yes it works just if u can be very careful or put contact in after putting then on
My eyes are wet enough it got blinked away no problem
I am so glad that I found this. It is soooo much cheaper than Lumify lashes. Going to try this soon. Thank you.
I'm a nervous wreck shaking beginner so your tutorial looks better than the others so I'm going to start and I'll send pics if it works..RATHER I CAN R CAN'T DUE TO ME U STILL IN THE PLATIUM ARTIST CLUB! FACTZ>I SUBSCRIBED TO U AFTER VIEWING YOUR 6MIN LASH TUTORIAL
OMG! I seriously love this! No joke this is the new way I'll be doing my lashes! Thank you tons Queen!! 🙌🙌❤️-Davia
Davia & Daja have you tried this method yet ?
Olivia Cornelius Hiii! I'm actually trying it on Saturday & I can't wait! I'll be sure to let you know how it goes 😍
no problem .😘 thank you for watching let me know how it worked out for you.😁
Olivia Cornelius Heyyy girl heyyy! So it went rough hahaha but practice makes perfect ❤️
so happy to know it worked 😊😘 just keep the practice going.💕
I would be poking my eyes every second because my hands are extremely shaky 😂
So happy I found this, thank you so much, I followed this exactly step by step and it worked beautifully, so grateful 🙏
Yay! so happy it worked for you, thank you for commenting your experience and for watching my video.🤗
I love using this method BUT now that my eyes water all day from allergies & dry eyes they won’t stay on very long. Back to doing them on top now. :(
Great video! I always section my lashes prior to application. I would just add to go sparingly on the glue and of course allow them to get to the "tacky" stage before applying.
What are your thoughts on wearing bottom false lashes? To maybe give it a more dramatic look?
I just bought half lashes today for the first time and this looks a million times better than on top
That's really cool but is it safe?
I wear lashes every single day and always apply them under. Anytime I’ve tried to apply them the “normal” way you can see the lash band. This is my first time seeing them applied in sections. Seems like a good tip for the bands that are a bit thicker and harder to work with. Thanks❤️
How do you remove the lashes when you apply under the lash line? Could you please do a video explaining how to do that
I like to put some baby oil or an oil makeup remover on my finger tips and then just rub it on my lash line then they easily come off 😊 just make sure u don't put to much oil if your planing to re-use the lashes 😊
your requested video will be up soon (today) lol should be up in a couple minutes
.😘
Jocelyn Marcial omg thank you!! Your a life save 🙏🏾😊
your welcome 😘
Jocelyn Marcial in
Lol I had my head phones in ..in my bed .. and I yelled at my kids wat are y'all doing lol.. they like mom were right next to you lol.. it was kids in the background of her video smh
I'm sure your natural eyebrows and their shape look better on you. I love your lashes and they look neater
Think I almost went mf blind doing this. But the 45 mins of doing it was %100 worth it
I have watched many vudeos like this but your obe was broken up into sections beautifully and I loved your close up shots alot. THANK YOU. Your end result is stunning 😇🥰
Great video!!! You did good on showing up close how you put them on!!
Applying under own eye lashes? WHAT A GREAT CONCEPT!👍
thx 4 the tip.......
Girl you need to let the glue dry first... but I love this !! Looks so much better than the regular way
OMG I love this methodi just tried it right now for the first and they look gorgeous
Janet Simental 😁😁💕 so happy it worked out for you 💕
Hi. Thank you for sharing. I will try it. Love 😍👍
hiiii no problem .. 😍
Eyebrows on fleek. I can see me poking myself in the eye or my eyes tearing up. Some concern as well about bacteria being so close to the eye or microabrasions on the surface. You'd have to really make sure the lashes aren't going past the natural lid and rubbing the surface on the eye. Even gives my the heebie jeebies when makeup artists lift their lids and apply their liner. Guess I hate anything near my eyes, but I'm determined on going to start fakse eyelashes and 👌a technique! Cutting them and applying in sections does help a lot!
It looks way more easier than applying them on top and the glue can't be that harmful its made for the eyes anyway can't wait to try!
smokeahontas everyday honestly it is easier and after all the practice it only gets easier and definitely more comfortable
Thank you I did try it and it's looks and feels great thank you
NP 😁 happy to know it worked out for you 💕💕
My watery eyes could NEVER.😭
From experience, I got the tiniest almost nothing bit of glue in my eye once.....and let me tell u.....
3 ER visits, 6 dr appts and complete vision prescription change in that eye!!!
Granted I wear contacts, so that did play a big part. Even w flushing my eye and cleaning my contact, apparently whatever diluted amount remained was doing its dirty to my eye! They're 30day contacts, but after a long birthday night out I had to take them out the next morning. I instantly felt burning. Within 15 min I felt like I had shards of glass & metal in my pupil! I couldn't move my head or even move my eyes closed, everything was painful. Even tears!!! Every muscle in my neck, face, eye & shoulders hurt from trying to be a statue. My husband thought I was being dramatic until we got to the ER & I couldn't open my eyes. The dr had to look, & my muscles refused spasmed shut my eye, the pain was far too intense. THIS IS WITH NUMBING DROPS!
The nurse couldn't get the silicone cup in to flush my eye & was so annoyed. Saying theres no way it should hurt, & I just cussed at her & asked her
" really?! And how ... in ... the ... f*ck ... would u have the slightest clue???!! "
It felt like she was pushing shards of glass in my eye! So she had to hold my eye open & manually flush it with 4 bags of saline! Needless to say, after screaming & soothing like a terrified child, even with sedative, I eventually passed out from the pain.
My vision has been forever changed & u can actually see a dip in my pupil when looking up close.
I wore an eye patch for nearly a month before the pain was completely gone, & I am in retail management 50hrs/wk. :-|
All that being said .... this kinda freaks me out :-)
Wish it didn't, I love the result
OMG 😱 😱😱😱😱😱😱😱😱😱😱😱
I am never trying this method!!!
I am so sorry you had that experience but I appreciate you shared your story so it doesn’t happen to other people. I have a question. When this happened you immediately took your contact off and discarded it right?
What brand of glue was it and was it still wet or already dry/tacky
Your video was helpful I've never put eyelashes before but I'm going to try
I have done this under eye lash for years but I don't cut just glue strip... Less work .. Super fast... Natural look.
Yeah she makes it look so so very easy just to set them right on top of her lashes end it takes 3 seconds and it's perfect. It's not so easy in real life for me! I've tried putting them on a hundred times and cannot ever do it that simply
I love it , I will definitely try your way, the other way does leave gaps. Thank you for sharing.
You should check out the Lashify lash system. Their lashes are amazing, you can wear them for days, and they’re so easy to apply just remember you don’t use it anywhere near the amount of glue that you are using.
I literally spent an HOUR trying this and I kept putting them on my waterline 🙃 definitely didn’t work for me 😂😭
I never cut mine but will definitely try that too. I have success with putting them on whole. I like the sections how you did it. I've been doing this for about six years. I just tried it out because I know I put my individual lashes under so I figured what would it look like if I put a whole strip under 😂 and loved it ever since.
To be honest you can actually sleep in them and they last a long time being under. I wear them under for a week and then take them off and wash and condition my lashes before applying another set.
I can see that this method would work better because this is kind of how they do them here in New York in the nail salon. They do individual lashes on the waterline
I want to see them up close where we can see both at same time instead of one at a time. Thanks love this
Looks VERY natural and good. Smart hack! Thanks.
i could never apply lashes until i tried this. Its so much easier and it looks amazing :)
Thanks Jocelyn! Looks beautiful on you! I'm gonna go try this right now....lol
I've been doing this for 3 years. I use dark tone latex free glue so lining underneath the lash is not necessary for me. It last all day! Do not sleep in these and be sure to clean all the glue off your eyes before sleeping. I still like applying lashe on top for thicker band lashes. Learn both ways so you have choices.
I can't wait to try this I've always put my on top
OMG, I thought you were Hayley Kiyoko at first, you look so much like her!
Girlfriend that how i did my eyelashes all the time and it last for two weeks and it's much more cleaner i cut mind in three pieces so it's more easily to put on but i always put the middle piece first on my eyelashe then the left and then the right so you want make any mistake put it on one eye..
I was wandering if there is any damage after long term use.
I wear makeup in a school that doesn’t allow makeup (which is quite weird because I think makeup is another form of art and a way of feeling confident), but anyways I’m going to try this with natural lashes, because if I keep using mascara I might ruin my lashes. Wish me luck
Omgoooosh I am new to lashes and I like this method so much better. I just cut mine in half instead of thirds.
Nice ! You are very brave having that object close to your eye..girl if this was me it would have been when doing your lashes goes wrong lol
I have natural long eyelashes but i would like more volume, will my natural lashes break off or fall out if I try this???? Thanks for the video!
Thank you RUclips for suggesting this video complete “ game changer”,
Gracias mamas
Thank you so much I can't do them on top because of my natural lashes so I always do individual underneath and I need it this
This looks so good, but unsafe lol... I am trying it! 😂
I'm glad I'm not the only one who does this. My lashes are too curly to put strips on top.
ThiaEmmy its the best way to do it 😁😁😁
Glad you are showing. We did this in thé 60’s. Yes I am old. LOL. Also we would wear 2 pairs sometime. Crazy 60’s. We wanted to do as Twiggy. If you get a chance look her up. 😊♥️
OMG yes.....this. I still have pictures of myself. LOL we were crazy. Long live Twiggy. Now if I could just get back to being as thin as Twiggy.
LOL
Love this method! The only trouble I have is how to remove, clean and store it for future use. I usually just put water on the lashes and it comes right off I don’t know if it damages the shape of the lash but I just get lazy and throw them away which is such a waste! How would you store yours?
Alyza Tolentino hello here a a video on how I remove my lashes.
Alyza Tolentino i normally store mine by putting them back in the packaging it came in 😁
@@jocelynmarcial_7 where is the video on how to remove??

This method was easy peasy and quick, thank you for the tutorial
I like the idea of cutting the lashes into 3 parts.
yes! makes it easier
