    Thank you for this video. I have been slowly dipping my toes into Sikh philosophy, gradually going through videos here, and even trying to learn Gurmukhi so I can study and contemplate SGGS more. I’m in an area of the US where I have literally never met a Sikh, nor seen one in person that I ever recall. Basics of Sikhi has been a great resource for me; do know that this video is true in its example, and the hard work put into these videos does reach the hearts of some of us who are searching. Thank you.

    Very inspiring , I love the way veerji does katha ; expanding on the meaning of the pankti and relating it to what they do and how it relates to a sikh's daily duty of controlling our panj chor

    Place in the plate the truth that god is one. Then be in ease and relief yourself of anxiety that arises out of duality. And every moment of each day dig in your heart and find the evils and goods you carry.
    After eating this daily doze drink the neer nectar of har hari. By remembering his qualities.

    Veer ji, is baani japni any different than baani padni(reading)

    • @singh_13
      @singh_13 7 лет назад +3

      Yes ofcourse! Baani should be meditated upon just like naam.
      Eyes closed, listening through ears, contemplating in your mind with meanings.
      That's how you get the bliss, just reading won't give you that much bliss.
      But for that we must have baani memorized.
      We should read with complete focus and conscious until we memorize baani and when we have it memorized we should meditate upon it just like naam (name).

      Baani memorize karn vich te saal lagg jaanday hon gye, ohna cher j mai bani read kraa te that doesn’t count at all?

      Toonies 1 waheguru ji it doesn't take years to memorize baani, a few weeks maybe.
      And I didn't said it doesn't count at all if you don't have it memorized and read it.
      I said it isnt that much bliss as it is in meditating upon it.
      But also, it's not like that it won't be any bliss if you read it.
      It will still be a bliss if you read baani with your mind focused.
      That's just a bonus if you have it memorized.
      And it's guru gobind singh sahib ji's hukam to memorize as much baani as possible.
