    The Truth has always existed but it has been scattered across many different faiths, ideologies and cultures. Sikhi is the the complete Truth.

    Hello , I've tried to search for certain topics such as how we were created ? Where did humans and colour come from in Sikhism?
    How do we save ourselves from this government control ? Is this mentioned in the Guru Granth Sahib ji?
    What world prediction's are mentioned in SGGS ?
    It's so hard to find answers as a Sikh.
    Please can you point me into the right direction of where I can find out certain information. Cheers

    I'd like add that there have been efforts to reform Hinduism as well such as with Vedanta,Bhakti Movement(Started by Adi Shankaracharya,also includes Guru Nanak Dev,Kabir,Pipa,Ramdass,Namdev,etc.) & Arya Samaj being the most recent. Basically wherever the mode of salvation is through bhakti/devotion such as is in ours it will generally be void of rituals.

    If God was able to successfully send his dharm this time, why wasn't he able to do it successfully the first few times? This does not actually answer why Sikhi is so new... how come Waheguru allowed the previous prophets to get corrupted? The more I learn the more questions I have! :(

  • @babloo1666

    Video title Incorrect. Sikhism has existed since Sat Yug. Avtar of Guru Nanak is 500 years old. There is a quote by Bhat Kal in Guru Granth Sahib saying that Sikhs have been serving the Sat Guru since the Sat Yug. Today we are in Kal Yug, 3 yugs later. Guru Granth Sahib is Jugo Jugo atal, meaning present in all yugs, including past ones, He just had a different roop. in treta he took the form of Sri Ram Chander, in Dwapr it was Sri Krishna, in Sat Yug it was many maharishis, Shiva, Vasudev Vishnu et al. Sikhism has been around for thousands of years.

  • @iicrywheniipoo
    @iicrywheniipoo 8 лет назад +4

    I seem to have heard a slight contradiction in what the brother is saying.
    Christians worship the Cross, which is think is untrue. It's simply a symbol of their faith.
    Muslims face Mecca so every one person prays in one direction, there's a sense of unity in doing this.
    But don't Sikhs pray to Guru Nanak Ji?

    • @tarunpreetaulakh5887
      @tarunpreetaulakh5887 8 лет назад +8

      Sikhs don't pray to anyone direct other than god but guru nanak along with other gurus and writers of bani made it easier for us to understand why we should pray but of course we do bow down to guru ji because guru and god have the same light (guru is perfect)

    • @iicrywheniipoo
      @iicrywheniipoo 8 лет назад +2

      +Tarunpreet Aulakh I see. So when you say 'Light' that simply means essence, right? Guru Nanak has the same loving, perfect essence of God. (Is God energy and light?)

    • @iicrywheniipoo
      @iicrywheniipoo 8 лет назад +2

      Amrit Hans Yeah that makes sense to me.
      God, the pure essence, was in Guru Ji because he was perfect.
      So let's say before Guru Ji was born... was he God then?
      Or only when he became perfect, was he also God?
      I do understand Sikhs say we're a part of God... as everything within the universe is.
      But to merge with the divine, you have to be perfect, like Guru?
      Is this the understanding?
      Thanks

    • @iicrywheniipoo
      @iicrywheniipoo 8 лет назад +2

      Amrit Hans Yeah I understand.
      They more the other Guru's followed Guru Nanak, the more perfect they became.
      What is the right path to God?
      Do you believe?
      I know you're going to say Sikhi because you're a Sikh.
      But what does one have to do to achieve heaven?
      Is it explained as heaven or merging with the pure source?
      "jesus was a saint but the bible i think has some things that are wrong and thats why it has changed so many times and i bet jesus himself would disagree with some things the bible says cuz in the early bibles, i heard there was a lot of stuff that made women seem inferior and god wants equality for everyone so why did the bible change now if those were to be jesus's words? people just ruined the real meaning of belief and i think islam is also a great religion but because of idiots like isis they ruined it for the world and some things i think in the quran are also changed because otherwise why can't people follow only that religion, muslims also beleive in god and being good people but ughh sadly it has been turned the opposite."
      Yeah this makes sense.
      Jesus wouldn't say that he's God if he's here today... but almost all Christians believe he's God.
      I don't think Jesus was perfect, to be God either.
      The interpretation of God differs between faiths too.
      Abrahamic faiths believe in a literal entity called Yahweh and Allah.
      But in Sikhism, is Waheguru Ji a literal entity?
      With concious though?
      If you know what I mean... or is Waheguru simply an essence?
      I think the Qur'an has a lot of truth... but I don't believe in a literal God.
      And if there was one, I don't think he'd hate, love.
      Like, Allah and Yahweh don't like people whom are gay.
      But again, different faiths say different things.
      In the Bible it says to stone gays to death... in the Qur'an, it doesn't.
      I know brother... I felt the divine I believe when I really reflected upon a verse in the Qur'an.
      And at that moment, I stopped being a Muslim.
      Because I knew God doesn't have any religion.
      Whomever seeks Waheguru, shall find.

    • @iicrywheniipoo
      @iicrywheniipoo 8 лет назад +2

      Amrit Hans Yeah that makes sense.
      I literally can't find a fault within Sikhi...
      In other religions I do.
      So you're right there.
      What do you personally think's wrong with Islam?
      Or what does Sikhi say about Islam?
      I believe I have felt the divine before when truely reflecting upon the world.
      But yeah, you didn't answer my question lol.
      Is Waheguru a literal entity with concious thought?
      Or just an essence?
      Waheguru isn't a man-type figure somewhere is he?
      Imagine the feeling of love - it has no literal form or anything, but it exists as an essence.
      This is what I believe the divine to be.
      One thing that does intrigue me about Sikhi... what's the need for reincarnation?
      Say I turn into a Fox in my next life... how do I get back to the human life and realise I need to chant Wahegurus name?
      If you know what I mean

      @@samuelwilliams6171 first of all the idea of reincarnation was found in Mayan, Ancient Egyptian and Ancient Greek culture, so the idea of reincarnation isn’t just found within Hinduism second Khalsa is an Arabic word for pure but the concept behind the Khalsa is totally different to the meaning, the Khalsa was made to protect the innocent from religious persecution it’s a borrowed word but the concept is not,
      And lastly this idea that Sikhism is a combination of Islam and Hinduism is ridiculous because that would mean ever single belief in Sikhism either comes from Islam and Hinduism which it doesn’t not for example, we belief god lives in the creation Muslims don’t, we reject the idea of divine incarnation which is present in Hinduism, I advise u to do more research then make such futile claims

    May Allah guide you.
    The issues for me is, guru nanak tells muslims to follow quran, it is the quran thats states it is from Allah and it also states in the Quran that, if anybody brings a religion other then Islam, it will not be accepted. Quran cleary rejects reincarnation. Quran actually says that any man can attains gods Mercy and luv infact Allah says he is closer to man then his jugular vein. Allah says any many places in the Quran, that you are all going to meet your Lord.
    The prophet Muhammad ( Allah's blessing be upon him) was also the messger of Allah And guru nanak.said the religion.of Muhammed is sweet. Quran also teaches us that idol worshiping is a great sin(shirk) and Allah states that he will not forgive shirk(shirk is to give the rights of worship which only belong Allah to something or someone else.)
    And Allah also mentions in the Quran that he has perfected the religion of Islam.
    So my point is if the quran is from Allah then we should "all" follow it because Allah says this is for the whole of mankind ( arabs, Africans, Asians, punjabis, kashmiri, European).
    Can you see the contradiction here, again you cannot have 2 ultimate truths.
    So either reincarnation is true, then the Quran is.false and if the quran is false why would Guru Nanak tell us to follow something that has a false teaching.
    And if Quran is true, and we follow it like guru Nanak has asked us to, then we have to believe as the quran tells us that the teaching of sikhism of reincarnation is false.
    You say Islam is enough to bring salvation to Muslims but not sikhs, tell me why not sikhs, why does God want 75% percent of punjabis to follow Islam but according to you 15% of punjabis(sikhs) need more..just doesn't make sense
    They both can't be right.

      I would recommend watching the video again Uday. Like Bhai Jagraj Singh said, how old a religion is does not matter. God sent many messengers upon Earth but the Truth remained incomplete. Hinduism failed to provide the complete Truth which is why we had Prophets after Hinduism.
      If you ever asked Guru Nanak Dev Ji, where he got Gurbani from? He would say he got it directly from God. Instead of criticizing our faiths and beliefs, let’s implement Gurbani into our lives and see how it positively affects our spiritual life!
