    Very true veerji...Agreed
But that bare minimum is so difficult to achieve these days that unhappiness and distrust comes from within leave alone the happiness after achieving it...the whole cry is about not being able the achieve that minimum which is but needed to have a balance
But this way the balance simply gets disturbed and tilted towards worldly things
    Bhula chuka di mafi
Hope to hear from you on this
    Need help

#why do sikh cut their nails if they do not cut their hairs ? you said hairs come naturally and again and again ., nails too come naturally again and again . this question is not to challenge you we are no one to challenge any one but i want to know it . sorry i will keep on asking that question again and again till i get my answer.

kin stanger Nails have no spiritual significance and become a hindrance during ones daily chores. Have you every meditating and felt bliss? A serene feeling indeed.. every hair stands up and once you progress spiritually you go beyond that. Nails do nothing for you unless you need to scratch.
A Sikh martyr Bhai Taru Singh who was not a soldier, but a devote Sikh nonetheless, was captured. A torturer was ordered to cut off Bhai Tarus hair since they knew the sikhs had such high regard for each hair, they wanted to break his spirit, however the man wasn’t able to cut the hair as they had become steel wires so Bhai Taru Singh’s was scalped.

We only cut dead nails not alive nails when we comb the dead hairs automatically comes out by comb so cutting alive hair is sin but for Sikh maybe human too

kin stanger Putting it simple, Sikhs are ordered by Guru ji's to have proper hygiene. We maintain both hair and nails. Hair are supposed to be combed(twice a day) to remove dead hair seperated from scalp skin and same with nails, cut the dead part and not all of that which is attached to flesh.
Though there are communities in India particularly Yogi's who don't cut hair(have dirt deposited in it) and even don't cut down nails that comprises hygiene. Which surely is not a case in Sikhs.
