You know, when I first got into VRChat, I thought the furries would be weird. But really, it's the "normal" people who are the weirdest in VRChat. It's like VRChat makes the furries calm down, and it makes the "normal" people get weird.

I'd guess it's because of familiarity to being online? Since technically "normal" people just refers to people with normal tendencies, they could also have abnormal or weird tendencies in private, so the anonymity you get from your vr avatar brings that out.
Meanwhile the furries and femboys are probably regularly online to begin with, so their "normal" tendencies bleed into their online persona and they become more reasonable.
This is only a theory though, and i could be completely wrong.
