Great video. I’m pretty new to sport climbing. How do people set up the route for the red point? How are you placing the draws if you can’t get all the way up and then how are you retrieving them if you don’t complete it? Are you just losing a maillon every time? Thanks

depends..
-if your route can be accessed from the top, hike up and rapel down to retrieve your draws.
-if not, is there an adjacent, easier route that you can use to access the anchors ?
-having a climbing partner whose level is above you to set up and clean for you is also an option.
-if bolted, you can aid yourself up to the anchors with PAS and stick clip little by little
-last resort; lose a maillon/carabiner on the last bolt
these are things ive done, idk if they are the best or only solutions. stay safe
