I remember a guy demonstrating a companion app called follow lights the keys light up to show how to play the music and if you played the wrong note it paused until you played the correct note also using the iPad you could sit away from the keyboard and remotely listen to the music playing with one finger
To be honest it seems to be more of an overgrown keyboard than a piano, not that I'm knocking the instrument, it looks and sounds beautiful, it's just my view/observation.
Hi. Having played pianos, keyboards, organs and digital pianos for four decades and more and taught all of the previously mentioned or over 25 years, I can only assure you that this is a piano for all intents and purposes. In fact, the annoying thing about it is how "un-keyboard" it is, when using some of the more "keyboardy" features. As a piano it more than holds its own against almost any piano until you are well into the 6 foot grand territory, and even then it has advantages. (I sold my 52" upright Kawai to buy a digital because when I had both I spent more time on the digital. They are simply that good. Plus, my Kawai was never the same piano two days in a row because it is made out of wood, whereas the digital not only was the same from day to day, but, were I to desire it, I could retune every key on my digital, or change the sound so that it was an infinite number of different pianos.) Bottom line as any keyboard player will tell you, this is simply not a keyboard. It's a piano. But I get the perception. I am an avid cyclist and the same issue arises with e-bikes. People who do not ride, and even many who do, think that an e-bike is a bicycle. They're not. They're motorcycles. The proof? Even a pedelac is a human assisted motorcycle. Anything that is not human powered is not a bicycle, by definition. but now I'm ranting. Peace!
