I thoroughly enjoyed this, thank you Bill. I too live in a temperate rainforest, in Southeast Alaska. If some money falls into my lap, I'm moving to New Zealand or Oz/Tasmania rainforests. I am in love with cool, temperate rainforests.
Hi JT,in Alaska you say, that whole area looks great,I have never been to NZ but would love to one day,do you venture out camping there ? I often watch vancity vanlife he is in Vancouver. Everything looks like a postcard. Thanks for watching and comment, all the best Bill.
It is one of those places where if you arrive at the carpark and there is a car there ,you wait a while, for it to go,because no other voices let's you hear the birds.
Thank you for sharing your great videos of Tasmania. We have had 4 wonderful holidays there and your travels have just made us so want to return for another holiday in the beautiful island of Tasmania. Safe travels. 🇦🇺🇦🇺
Thanks so much, that really means a lot that you have been inspired to go back,Tasmania has so much and I too really want to return, Tasmania is definitely NOT overated,Thanks for your kind words take care Bill.
Hi Bill, what a fantastic video, your photography, Drone and Go Pro, outstanding!. Thanks for taking me on what I think is your best adventure yet. The scenery was absolutely unbelievable, the sights and sounds, were something else. Tasmania from what you've shown is such a fantastic place to visit. I absolutely loved it Bill. Looking forward to seeing your next video. Take care please. Smokey
Hi Smoky, hope you had a good New Years, yes the rainforest walks were something to remember, I have those images on file now to keep,Philosophers Falls will be another nice walk too I think, glad you watch on TV,I don't oftren get to watch my videos on anything bigger than a phone,my Tasmanian map is a bit blurry will try to fix that up,Take care mate Bill.
It is a must, there were a few places I didn't take the car because areas were still under flood watch, but I have left that for next time I go to Tasmania.
Hi Bill, as always great video. One thing, where are you staying whilst over in Tassie and how long did you stay at each place? How long in Tassie all up. We are planning on doing it and trying to work it out!! Stay safe. Karen and Jeff
Hi Karen, mostly free camps, from Wikicamps, however I did pay for some accommodation. Forest which is just south of Stanley had a great place in town for $10,WARATAH was $10.50,many camps on East Coast are 28 day limit, also little towns have self contained sites for free.Everything I found was from Wikicamps. 6 weeks.
Thanks for that view of the Tarkine Drive Bill, I've added it to the list now. What happened to the Beast with the Bonnet up at the end? I believe the railway use to come up from Zeehan once, I have a small book on it. Are those road treads for the Black ice they get down there?
Hi Fred I think black ice is probably what the treads are for, handy also to warn the animals too, bonnet up -yes a little problem on the top of a mountain on a Sunday, with 2 bars of phone coverage,2 days in a motel,my trip to Queenstown had an extra event.

Looks perfect for those who like the solitude experienced in the greenery of peaceful, temperature forests. Stunning ferns and running rivers!
