People, do this when you are young. Honestly if you are 20 something, 30ish - do it. Cook vegetables, count calories, workout, sleep. Oh...a good sleep. Very soon you won't be able to do these things even if you want to, especially sleep. Don't take healthy lifestyle for granted, it is a privilege to be able to have the time, energy, the money to do it.

    • @ian_strachs

Disagree with this, I think everyone can take/ make at least 15-20 mins per day to do a short workout or walk, or cycle to work, or do some push ups at their kids sports practice. Also if kids is what stops somebody working out I think they're missing an opportunity for quality time with their children and to set a good example to them of being healthy. Granted I'm not a parent yet so perhaps pinch of salt, but I know people make it work
Just some thoughts, hope you're doing well

Bro! I have not watched your videos in a while and I am so proud of you. In February, I went to rehab for the 5th time and when I got out, I was told the same thing repeatedly. Not that I was tall or manic, not that I was talking too fast or changing conversations too rapidly. I was told that I looked healthy. I have been working out and eating healthy the last 3 years and it has made a drastic difference in my face. You look incredible bro and I am so happy for anyone who is taking their mental and physical health seriously. I salute you.

Great video Nikhil. Have loved seeing your fitness journey updates over the recent years. As someone who started this path in undergrad in 2018, I love seeing another Indian man go through the same thoughts, processes, struggles and discoveries within their own health and wellness journey on the path to being and feeling like the best version of yourself. Want to note that the bioavailability thing your coach said is very true. Cows milk or eggs are the highest BA, followed by meat, and then plant sources being last. Naturally, this makes the staple indian diet of lentils and vegetables a bit rough for good protein source. I was never a vegetarian so this wasn't a problem for me but I'm proud of you for wanting it bad enough to include chicken and salmon (good lean sources too at that) into your diet. I think you're doing everything right. Though truthfully I don't think it hurts to be bigger, because nobody gets too big by accident. That being said I totally get your point since this video is likely geared towards people who don't train much at all. Sorry for the long read but cheers !

I went from being 100kg since forever to 80kg with good diet and a lot of training (mostly resistance) within one year, now at the end of my 30s. I have not gotten this many "wow you look handsome" in my whole life as i got in the past few months. Health is my main motivator, but it's still nice to get superficial compliments. I always hated the "bulky" bodybuilder look and I also didn't want to get "shredded". I am pretty lean now, 4-pack is showing pretty well and i have definition all over. I could not feel better. I guess it's mostly "maintaining" from here, maybe get a little hint of the full 6 pack, but thats about as far I want it to go. My cheekbones already stick out like spikes, otherwise I will end up looking like a meth addict, also not desirable.. 😂😂

As a 10 year user of ZMA - Zinc Magnesium Aspartate, I don’t recommend using it with yogurt or dairy because Calcium blocks zinc absorption. Use the ZMA - or zinc magnesium supplement - 30 minutes before bed on an empty stomach for maximum effect. Zinc helps boost testosterone naturally. Testosterone production occurs during sleep. Magnesium helps CNS recover (My wife says I twitch a lot). Helps prevent cramps, have a healthy morning bowel movement, and makes running a breeze! It help prevent my calf from cramping during boxing.

It's true the vegetarian protein isn't as bioavailable, but it's not it's not something I wanted to compromise. I didn't grow up vegetarian, but I've done it for 5-6 years. Tofu, Tempeh, Seitan, Pea-protein based things were all good for me. Love hemp seeds, pumpkin seeds, chia seeds, sweet potatoes. :)

I love the comment about not overthinking fitness. I remember a Planet Fitness commercial years back where PF made fun of a real bodybuilder who had a "I lift things up and put them down" mantra. The mantra actually is lifting at its most basic.
Anyway, awesome video. Came here from your David Goggins and Jordan Peterson spoof videos.
