some minor problems I faced and what worked for me: 3:10 the format for this line is "ssh [username]@[hostname]" so make sure you aren't just writing "ssh pi@raspberrypi" blindly. [The problem is, the cmd will proceed with the wrong username and you will type your username's password, and it won't match because the username is actually wrong] So let's say your username is "abrar" and your hostname is "blueberrypi" Then your line should be "ssh abrar@blueberrypi" Now you may type the password for username "abrar" which you set earlier in the imager, and it should work fine. 4:33 if the hostname itself isn't finding the server, then try appending ".local" to it. That's all.
Many thanks for this tutorial. It was a great project for introduction to my Raspberry pi. Very clear instructions. A question if it's possible to respond here. The headless setup made a lot of sense for me as I am exploring the possibilities of a RPI vs traditional laptops. My keyboard, mouse and screen are a MacBook Pro. My router is a dual-band AirPort Time Capsule, which has worked well. There are about 20 connections on the Network; encompassing various home things - light bulbs, thermostats, extenders(3), TV's (2), Squeezebox Radio, and three apple products, the RPI. I see no obvious signs of network overload. To the question - the mouse on the VNC Viewer connection has a significant delay and tracks poorly, resulting in a lot of overshoot, excessive page turning, etc., making it ineffective for regular use in exploring the RPI and its capabilities. Is this a normal outcome of using a VNC viewer in to the Pi, or should I be troubleshooting more? Thanks again for the help so far!
tysm literally idk why everyone doesnt do this and wants do mess around with a usb keyboard, mouse, etc. btw try as i might, the rpi just wouldnt boot from a USB connected flash drive, i had to borrow a sd card and reader from my neighbors to get this to work, any idea why?
When I try to connect my Pi to VNC viewer I keep getting an error saying I need to select my encryption parameter to a weaker level or update VNC server. Nothing I've tried worked though

That is what an instructional video should look like, clear concise instructions delivered with confidence and no heavy metal background music.

I spent days trying to get VNC to work and I cannot tell you how easy this video made it for me! Thank you!
You're a lifesaver. Clear and concise - no faff - straight to the point - worked first time.

Brilliant. Short. Clear. No stupid background music.

As of today, 2023-12-26, I suspect that the VNC server is not working on Debian 12 Bookworm.
In my device, that appear "verifying write failed. contents of sd card is different from what was written to it" how to solve it?:(
It says ping request cannot find host raspberrypi 😭😔
same problem! Did you find a solution for that?
did you find solution
Enjoyed the video. However, VNC wants $45 a year to license their software for a single user. I can buy a cheap keyboard and mouse for that.
When I try to connect my Pi to VNC viewer I keep getting an error saying I need to select my encryption parameter to a weaker level or update VNC server. Nothing I've tried worked though
For me too
did you find any solution?
@@likhitrapidzz I did. I needed to change my raspberry pi os from Bookworm to an older one
Can someone help please. I'm also getting this error

make sure you're using your username, I was initially copying him with ssh pi@raspberrypi but mine was using my name, so it was ssh joseph@raspberrypi
