    Don't knock the LE until you've tried it. We got our 2021 LE for $34,500. 8 seats, small wheels, skinny tires, no motorized seats or rear lift gate, yet it has all of the safety tech and Toyota's reliability. With all of the weight savings, we consistently get 40+mpg. Couldn't be happier. Thanks for the great review!

    • @EdgarLopez-pv8co
      @EdgarLopez-pv8co Год назад +8

      We’re looking at the LE too. Are you able to take the center middle seat out? The LE seems to have everything our family needs. Plus we live in Arizona so leather in a 116F summer is out.

    • @j.h.40
      @j.h.40 Год назад +12

      @@EdgarLopez-pv8co The 2nd row middle seat pops right out. Underneath it are a couple more cup holders. If you get the spare tire option, you will need to find a place to store the seat. If you do not get the spare tire option, the seat tucks away in the wall behind the 3rd row nicely. And yes, the cloth seats are much more forgiving in the summer heat.

    Getting my 2023 next month, after a 9 month wait. Can’t wait! All of the negatives that I’ve seen are more than outweighed by the positives. I don’t “floor it” with my kids, so why would I need to with a minivan. And I would rather borrow a family members truck than have a second row removed, then mess around putting it back in. Sounds unnecessary. Can’t wait for my minivan

    One of the big advantages of the new Sienna, beside fuel economy is that you can get AWD and also equip with a spare tire. The all wheel drive van no longer depends on run-flat tires, which offers lots of possibilities when buying replacement tires.

      I just traded my 2021 Corolla SE, which was made in Japan, for a 2022 Corolla SE Apex, that was made in Mississippi. There is no comparison. Despite the Apex being a more expensive model, the quality is no where near that of the 2021 Corolla that was made in Japan. The car was delivered out of alignment, the body panels don't fit together correctly, the radio sound is poor quality, the interior seat seams aren't stitched correctly, the tire sensor dash light doesn't work, and the worst of all, water collects in the doors when it rains. After researching, Toyota is aware of this issue and their official "fix" is to leave out the plugs at the bottom of the door so the water can drain out. Absurd. Water should not be collecting in the door panels in the first place. This is apparently an issue only present in the Toyotas made in the US, not Japan, And its is across many models not just the Corolla. Over time, the repeated water exposure is going to cause rust, mold, mildew and damage the electrical system. Save yourself the headache, if the Toyota wasn't made in Japan, DO NOT buy it.

    I own a 2021 Sienna and the non removable second row is a non-issue. We never ever need more space than what we get with the third row down and you can push the second row SOOOO family back to make a limo-like space. We pull 34 mpg year round in the dead of winter and heat of summer without even trying.

    Hi I rent a minivan monthly and decided to try a Toyota Sienna hybrid and it runs like a Lexus. It’s very spacious inside and being a 4 cylinder engine hybrid it gives you lots of power and gas millage. I can drive it from Orlando to Tampa back and forth and the gas gauge stays almost in full. We were looking for a Chrysler Pacifica but Toyota has more space only issue is the auto turn with the key fob and needs a better radio. Other than that very happy with the Sienna 2023.

      Just research pricing of the Sienna if you decide to swap it for a Grand Highlander, considering how hard Siennas are to come by, you just might end up selling it for about what it cost you, which is insane since we're talking about minivans and not rarefied limited edition sports cars. In any case, don't let a dealer lowball you out of the Sienna IF you choose to go down that route.

    We bought ours in 2005 which we still use for extended family trips. After travelling ~210,000 Km , the drive train remains bullet-proof and the van is as highly practical as the latest generation.

    Very good video, but as far as prices are concerned, you are misleading people. All your MSRPs are underestimated by several thousand compared to the real ones. In addition, they are almost impossible to find. And if you are still lucky enough to find a new Sienna, then be prepared for the fact that dealers add another 7 to 10 thousand to the MSRP.

    I had a 2020 limited awd v6 and I got one of the first 2021 hybrid limited awds in Canada. It's not perfect, but it does so many things well. It's amazing on gas, 700-900km to the tank in city driving depending on tires, very comfortable to drive, looks good, AWD system is weaker in the hybrid but easily handles snow with blizzaks on.
    I hate the media system. The blu ray player was so simple and easy to use. The plastic wheels are a joke on a $50k+ vehicle and the halogen interior and reverse lights are silly.
    If you have more than 2 kids or go on trips, a van is a must and this thing beats the Pacifica, Odyssey and Carnival overall. Sure, the Odyssey has more pep and a better interior but it's terrible on gas, has no 360 camera, no shifter and no awd. Pacifica is a Chrysler so roll that dice if you want. Same with Kia.

But if you're into ride quality, performance (if there' is such a thing in Minivans), and tech, go with the Carnival. If you want something that's been tried and trued, then Odyssey is probably right for you.

    • @zeroelus
      @zeroelus Год назад +1

      I'd put the Ody as a happy "middle ground" between these 2, it has a lot of tech that the Sienna doesn't have (cabin watch+cabin talk, 2nd row screen, and the "magic" second row seating) but still with a V6 a traditional auto and a slightly step behind the Kia infotainment, but while Honda has had a few reliability woes in past years, nothing like the mess Hyundai/Kia has had as a whole company. If you need to constantly combine between hauling stuff and people, the Pacifica with the stow and go 2nd row is where it's at, but that is locked in to the FWD V6 and excludes AWD and the PHEV, IIRC.
      All 4 vans have something going for them and by themselves(excluding any brand issues) are great products that prioritize slightly different things, the only shame about this is that this segment has been overlooked for bigger SUVs that in the name of higher ride height or some design trend sacrifice practicality and utility, and we're only getting 4 different takes on the minivan, and not more.

    I definitely need removable second row seats. That's a deal breaker for sure.

      Unfortunately, removable 2nd row seats are usually quite heavy. I'd rather have the Pacifica's stow n go seats, even though I'd rather not own a Stellantis product.
