@vishekchauhan6561 welcome sir ❤️
There is lot of potential in indian audiance for raising movie business the only problem is bollywood is lacking vision and hunger to earn more
Very true
Complacency creeped in
Main Janki Cinema gaya tha Nagpur me, unko sound bohot improve hua hai, they just need to replace their old chairs and it can become a big brand. Just compare a cinema with Petrol pumps, we just want a good washroom and some parking space, some tea stalls, petrol or movies will come and go but infra will remain there. You cannot make a theatre with mindset of petrol pumps in cities in small space, you need parking, DMart model is best and if Dmart runs cinema on the 2nd floor on weekdays Mon to Thurs it will be wonders.
Interesting points you bring up
Pls elaborate
@@vishekchauhan6561 Single screens cannot do complete makeover or rebuild themselves due to less revenue, but only they can charge below ₹100 or ₹120 for long time ( long time is the key) because they own the land and don't have to pay rent to any mall owner like PVR/ Cinepolis. If single screen owners tie up with Dmart or any Super market like we have Rakshak supermarket in nagpur having 3-4 large supermarkets, they can build upon them and share resources. Exhibitors should know they are like supermarket retailers, they have to evolve like Dmart or else they will disappear in those streets. Earlier single screens used to be landmarks in cities, now there are multiplex chains and the mall is the landmark. As in highways with way side amenities, resources are shared between petrol pump dealers and restaurants, but petrol is a necessity here not food in restaurants, similarly single screen theatres can market themselves as one of the retailers in a 2 shop mall, one being supermarket and other being the theatre. No new single screen has come up in my city in the last 15 years and existing are being bought by commercial developers. I can't let my childhood memories of watching movies in Janki, Panchsheel, Alankar, Jayshree die just like that due to bad washrooms and lack of parking space. Sudama and Ashirwad have been sold out already, only seats need to be replaced and flooring, ceilings to be renovated for genz to come and watch movies there. Skylights cinemas in Nagpur is known for exhibiting movies but don't own any property, they took over an old 2 screen plex renovated it and is running it successfully. Such management companies can help those single screens in our country and regain that lost respect of single screens among the newer generation people.
@@vishekchauhan6561 Single screens can share land resources and other resources with other businesses like supermarkets or food courts or local shops and build or rebuild a theatre. If PVR can go to mall owners asking for tenancy why can't single screens ask local shop owners to build a mini mall with theatre being the main attraction? Exhibitors are after all retailers in the movie business just like petrol pump dealers. Owning land can only lower ticket prices and connect masses and expand single screen business or else PVR will keep disconnecting low or medium income people from movie culture.

Out of the 52 weeks available a year most big films only release during holidays even if they need to clash with another big film while most weeks other than holidays don't have any big film releasing when it
could have been released. Ab diwali mei clash kiya usse pehla ek mahina aur bad mei ek mahina koi badi film nahi thi .
That is the problem with the film industry.
Thank you for watching
I hope you liked the video

Problem is affordability. The per capita income per month in USA is approx 3700 dollars. And ticket price is about 10 to 11 dollars. So roughly 0.3 % of monthly income.
The per capita monthly income in India is approx 17000 rs. And ticket price approx 200 to 300. So roughly 1.5 to 2 % of monthly income. And I'm not even taking into account the exorbitant price of food and drinks.
You have hit the nail on the head…we have outpriced the common man from cinemas
Hope you enjoyed the podcast ?

I don't think we can ask for Govt Subsidy. Rationalization of taxes is one thing. But they should never have allowed PVR Inox merger. They have created a monopoly of 2000 odd screens and they take 50% of revenue for nothing
The industry will have to concentrate on the content and expand overseas footprint.
Maybe Collorate with Intl banners.
Money is not the issue. But creation and execution
They have to be stop being Lazy.
Cinema is a state subject and many state governments have film policies
The merger was more a desperate attempt to stay afloat
Re Release movie tickets price 200,300 in PVR 😂🤣😂 51:47
It’s become a joke
Make multiplex prices less .then you will reach 50,000 crores
I would agree to that
Hope you enjoyed the video
I can Talk about Bollywood, we need to import few massy directors from south. Khans do very few movies. Akshay Kumar's choices( multiplex/OTT type movies) and inability of directors to present him in massy avatar has really kept us low. Akshay kumar is specifically mentioned because he is the only biggie who does 4 movies an year
First comment ❤
Appreciate you being the first

Sir , no doubt pushpa 2 is bb, but according to himesh , jatindar hindi net is 730crs, then how all these persons are saying it has crossed 800crs , nd it has done very good in telugu also.
800 cr is producer figure trade figure is 730 cr . pushpa 2 producers exaggerate 70 to 80 cr to show 800 cr net which is false .
What folks quote is producer figures
Bottom line is it’s a blockbuster of huge proportions
Hope you enjoyed the podcast
@@vishekchauhan6561 Yes, but why producer exaggerate this much amount. I read somewhere it's the biggest exaggerated figure after krrish 3 . krrish 3 trade figure is 180 cr and producer show 245 cr , diffrence is 65 cr . Here pushpa 2 it is around 70 to 80 cr exaggeration .
What about piracy factor?
It’s a distribution failure…
A) There are no Cinemas
B) Prices are too high
C) I will watch for free- Can’t do anything about this category
Reduce fees of. Actors and increase fees of writers
There is not more than 4-5 cr audience is there for theatre movies
At these price points and low screen count
Prices need to go down and screens need to go up
Bollywood has no time and momey money for writers, producer don't take any effort to find new inspirational story
Actors r so highly paid they don't even the script, writers r underpaid, countless fraud ids which destroy writers
Mere yaha dd cinema hai but uski screen aur sound bade bakwas hai
Badi movie ke rs 250 se 300 rakhte hai loot macha rakhi hai
Which location?
@@vishekchauhan6561 farrukhabad uttar pradesh
Bollywood needs good content fresh stories stop copying south movies and hollywood then they have some chance
I would agree
Bollywood needs to find its voice
And its expertise
@@vishekchauhan6561I have observed these there are just too many action and horror comedy movies being made bollywood needs to change it needs other genre too like rom com musical romantic movies suspense thrillers then audience will come.
then bollywood needs directors from hindi states u can't expect south directors to become voice of bollywood. when u collaborate with a south director he will make a film according to south style film making best example is Jawan tamil industry has made these kind of movies a lot of times.
