What an amazing interview. I learned so much more about the struggles behind film making especially stunt films. I also got the opportunity to meet the ‘real’ Rohit Shetty- understand his struggles, his thought process, his ideology, his view about trolls, the dirty games played by people to bring down competitors and so much more. He faces all sorts of setbacks and failures stoically, just like his mom. His mom didn’t let the struggles and death of her husband destroy their lives. He was very clear that every movie and series he makes will not have intimate scenes, because he wanted the entire family to feel comfortable to watch them. It is amazing to watch the pride he feels when he talks about his parents’ achievements. I have never liked Rohit Shetty’s movies because they are too over the top for me and I probably never will. But I have great admiration for the person he is, after watching this interview. Thank you Lallantop. Great interview.

Will never ever forget the day we watched 'Chennai Express'. Because tickets were not available for 2 consecutive weekends in a row, we decided to catch the express train on a weekday. Ran away from office just about winding up work as fast as the fingers could and as fast as the legs could - and oh ! What a ball we had ! It's was ROFL all the way !! Thank you, Rohit Shetty, for making us laugh so much and save us; otherwise, our jobs could have killed us in the work station.
So well conveyed about stress.. When in such “stress”, i simply switch one of the Golmaal movies.. I never get bored of Golmaal movies.. 1:09:14 be it any one of them.. thank you THE ROHIT SHETTY

The Set cost Rs. 5 crore .... in one of the interviews Ajay Said that it was so disheartening to see the Set getting dismantle as he really was in love with the Set. The movie was made on a budget of Rs 35 crore.

Superb interview and perspective of Rohit Shetty. It's true some of his movie scenes under his direction are illogical but it's really nice of him to agree to it. His knowledge of films since 70s is amazing. And yes I agree that he makes film for the family, also where he says that abusive language is not reqd but still it is there. I would say that he is good director. He knows the technicalities of making a big budget film. And he has made more than a couple of films that make for very enjoyable entertainment. I personally find the police station fight sequence from Simmba very well made. The emotions are right, and Ranveer's performance is effective. And the fight choreography is over the top but effectively stylized. I loved the fact that the scene was edited to music. The second half of Simmba where they showed Raveer's character arc did not work for me as much as the first half. Ranveer was good but the rest of the cast was highly underutilized. The villain was forgettable. Rohit Shetty should focus more on getting good writers and inventive action choreographers. Just my opinion.
