if you guys don’t have a yarn winder but want to organize, you can do it by hand with a toilet paper roll/hair spray can/anything cylindrical! just look up “how to roll a center pull ball of yarn” on youtube!
it takes more work obv but it is still satisfying :)

before I bought a yarn winder I used an empty dry shampoo bottle with that technique and the result was prettier, so if you don't work with a lot of yarn, just learn how to do it by hand.
yeah! I use a toilet paper roll or a paper roll I made out of normal printing sheets and tape (it's slimmer for more fine yarns). it works fine. It's a little hard on the beginning but once you get used to it, it's really easy
@@BlackRavenD for small balls I use tube from fizzy vitamin tablets, end of yarn under the cup and roll :D

We are supposed to get a snow storm this weekend and I had plans to clean up and declutter my room, and now I think I will have to add organizing and winding up my yarn to my list of things I wanna do lol.

New to your channel. Apparently the Covid tests don't recognize the new variants. I got Omicron at the end of Dec and I am still not better. I have a cough that won't go away. I have heard i might have the cough for a few months. I have so many things I want to do for my channel but I have to work with the energy I have. This flu really knocked the energy out of me so good for you getting this all done. 😉

I want to get a ball winder and organize my yarn, but I feel like I would forget what brand/color a certain yarn is. Does anyone have any tips for labeling them or keeping track of that?
I know im two years late but when you cake up your yarn, you can roll up the tag and put it in the open hole in the center to keep track of it
