  • You have probably seen the devastating impact that extreme climate events - be that drought, fire or flood - have recently had on the natural environments of our native animals.
This is why Macquarie University’s Smart Green Cities researchers are working with local governments, industry leaders and community members to optimise the design and development of our urban spaces.
So that through a robust understanding of native biodiversity, a modern approach to city planning and policy, and more innovative urban design practices, our cities can better fight the effects of climate change and become more liveable communities for our people and our native wildlife.
