I bought a G22 with some water intrusion issues and as I'm replacing all the transaxle bearings and seals this video was invaluable. Cleaning the nasty brown (rust/water/gear oil) sludge is a pain, but my biggest concert is in hoping that the light pitting on all the internal gears from the surface corrosion isn't going to give me problems long term. Never the less. Having this video was nice in seeing how everything comes apart and goes back together. Thanks.
Are there any videos or instructions for the Team Transaxle hi speed gear upgrade? Can’t really find much on the forums either. Just bought one for my 2011 but I’m trying to find some literature before I go ripping away at it!
Sorry but we have not done a video no them. But here is a video that another guy did that might help - ruclips.net/video/3UQtOE8huMk/видео.htmlsi=jJnaLuQFCiBUtTck
Hi Jonas, are there any compatible transaxles for the 2015-2016 Yamaha g29 that are more reliable? Research shows that the intermediate shaft in these trans are really crap. Thanks
I am not aware of any issues with the 2015 and newer transaxles on the G29s. That same transaxle is still used in the Drive2 non quietech models and the UMAXs. There was an issue with the input shaft on some of the early model G29s from around 2007-2009.
@@PowerEquipmentMan They may have just updated the Intermediate shaft that holds the forward and reverse gears then. I have seen some photos on forums of it in pieces. Just not sure when they updated the intermediate shaft.
@@Lumpia_In_Texas the UMAX models are going to ride rougher than the Drive2, especially if you are comparing it to the Quietech model with independent rear suspension.

Glad it helped. Thanks for watching!
What is the torque spec for the rear axle castle nuts? Front as well if different :)
Do you have a video on changing the thrust shaft seal?
When did the quitech come out and do they have a quitech with a straight axle or are they all individual suspension
Where is the best place to find a good used gas quietech 2 IRS cart?
We've got some in stock here in Kansas. Where are you located? If interested, send me an email - sales@powerequipmentman.com

I just got a fleet cart with that rear axle. I need to do this sometime. What happens if I combine this with lithium?
The gear set that we sell and show how to install in this video is for GAS carts only. We do not sell any high speed gears for electric carts.
Just picked up a fleet cart with this same rear end and I’m having trouble finding a lift kit for it. Any suggestions? TIA
