I always found it strange that Bale’s Batman Begins suit had a different bat symbol than the batarang. But that same batarang symbol (the one I actually prefer) was used for his suit in the following movies.
I imagine that the batarangs he left behind in the first movie was used by Gordon to be the shape of the bat signal, then Batman was like alright, guess I'll just use that same symbol on my chest for some brand synergy.
My head cannon is that he made the suite symbol first for looks. When he made the batarangs for throwing, he refined the shape to actually work. Then he changed the suite to match when he built the second one.
They had already started the expensive work on the suit before Nolan signed on as director. The bat logo on the chest was there before Nolan had a say. Clearly he got his ideas for a suit for the Dark Knight, using the symbol he chose and obviously preferred.
alot of the suits have a different batsymbol from the batarang or even the movie's own marketing and art. Supposedly its a rights thing or something idk
I like how The Batman version is more like a tactical knife instead of a throwing weapon. Every special ops operative, what do they have? Some type of tactical blade or similar tool. It made his batman feel practical

The Nolan Batman movies were the best. They were so grounded in reality and I really liked the Tumbler that was The Batmobile in the trilogy. Plus Heath Ledger’s Joker is the best Joker ever.
Just saw that hinged batarang on the Antiques Roadshow here in the UK, it was filmed at Woolaton Hall which was used for Wayne Manor so the presenter showed it off in the intro. "I wonder if they got that from the Propstore?" I thought, "probably not, there must be tons of them around"... Then later in the programme Stephen Lane himself turned up and showed off a Burton-era bat-cowl, bat-belt, and Joker outfit worn by Jack Nicholson. The audience had to guess the least, middle and most expensive. It wasn't difficult.
@@JeremiahEcks777 I probably could have said more to make it clearer, the cowl was one of many because they basically mass produced them, to the point this particular one was never used on screen, so that was the cheapest, the belt was worn on screen by Michael Keaton and there are far fewer of them, so that was in the middle, and the Nicholson Joker outfit which he had worn on screen was unsurprisingly worth the most, at £100,000-150,000.
