Ive been a fan of this channel for very long and i will never stop watching, The numatic fixing videos help me a lot it helps me fix my own hoovers and that!
Theses V2/Dual Vs always had the problems with the upper tank leaking and cracking underneath. The early ones were even worse with leaks.
Someone took mine apart to clean it after use today and when we reassembled it, we had a piece left over with no indication in the manual where it should go. I'd never seen it before. OOPS! I tried various possible locations to no avail but now, thanks to your video, I've been able to see where it goes. Many thanks!!

The Vax rapide spring I had many years ago, just started leaking, like water pouring put the back of the machine, after about 2 or 3 years of use. Then we had a Bissell Healthy Home Pet carpet washer and the motor burned out after 7 years, but the machine didn't leak, was literally just the motor that went. And we haven't bought another carpet washer due to what they cost. We just rented a Rug doctor in February this year, and it was really impressive, our carpets came up like brand new 👍
We have a rug doctor but I might get a used 6131 off ebay some point

Fascinating video Sam. I've used two different, slightly more modern, vax carpet cleaners and I've found both really difficult to clean the dirty water tanks. So frustrating, but both did a reasonable job cleaning the carpets.
Never thought of getting one before ....and still don’t think I’ll be getting one.but the important thing here is the quality of the video Sam and as always it’s top notch.always enjoy watching !

It had the samething happened on my Hoover steamvac all terrain dual V I did fixed the leak on clean water tank but I sold it
Ours is leaking at the back- from the clean water tank- can you offer any help?
My family part around my aunties Henry 200 we borrowed it once as our Henry died but I fixed it within a day and my auntie got her Henry back

Hey Sam. I got to admit. Out of all my carpet cleaners this one was hands down the best one I ever had, I blew the motor, after using it and abusing it for years, with no issues at all It got battered in my house with the cats and the dog and it hit battered in everybody’s house as well, I bought the the vax platinum power plus to replace it , terrible machine the belt went on it, then I replaced it with the newer version of this the rapid power plus pro. The blue one on Vax website and the turbine blade inside the spin scrub turbine as cracked all the way along. So looking for a secondhand one of these I use mine twice a week and only use rug doctor shampoo, if you still have this and wanna flog it I’m interested very interested

I had this exact carpet cleaner and it was leaking the same but it started to leak so much it used to piss it down into the motor and it blew up and also my Brushes stopped working so I replace them and it chewed up the new set

So which is better, this or the Dual V Advance you got with the knackered motor?
Dunno yet, it's refurbed and reassembled now but upon testing the motor spin apart... Not looked again yet! Their probably very similar though

My grandad years ago only bought vax products until 2015 when he was given a shit hoover blaze upright but honestly vax back like 2007 to 2014 was alright he had a 6140 pet vax which I loved and even owned at one point I would defo buy another 6140 if I found one
