    Aww, thank you! I've been so sick this week, so your idea to have ladies leave a kind comment for me is such a nice way to end my week! And your video here was amazing.

    Raquel, thank you so much for your videos! I’ve been observing Torah as I learn without knowing that is what it is called! It’s quite a learning experience when you are alone on this journey! (Not really alone because my Heavenly Father is with me) Praise YAH!
    Thank you for being an encouragement !

      I’m thankful we have a community herd of likeminded ladies! It’s so nice to have others around us (even if only in videos and comments) seeking to obey the Most High and follow Him in faith!! 💕

      😅 Yes! And it’s a little wonky, too, because we moved from our larger home into an rv, but we kept everything in storage. That was 3 years ago, so now I’m unpacking things I haven’t seen in 3 years. 😅 I’m SO grateful for the kitchen tools and books and ‘things’ that I have again- but it’s been slow getting it all cleaned and put into place. Haha

    QUESTION: New here and new to all of this. Are most women living Torah also Stay-at-Home moms? Are most married?
    What, if any, advice would you give to a single, working mom (Multiple kids) and how does being Head of Household change how/what we do in regards to following Torah? Do the commands/expectations set for men apply to a female Head?
    Thanks for your help with this. I feel like I am navigating the waters with an outdated map and instructions that weren't written for me.

      @WomenLivingTorah  2 месяца назад +2

      This is a very deep question, and I don’t pretend to have much experience with it as a married woman. I’m going to think and pray on what to share, & plan to get back with you after Shabbat. (Other ladies who have experienced single/working motherhood: feel free to chime in!) 🤗

      Widowed homeschool mom here. YHWH has impressed on me that I follow His Commands and Torah even though I am not married. We do our best to keep all of the Feast Days, even though we are not able to go camping for Sukkot. For Sukkot we set up a small indoor play tent I found on Amazon several years ago. We sleep in a pop up privacy tent that someone gave me as a gift four years ago. When we didn't have any indoor tents we just slept on the floor in the living room 😊. We live in the city so we can't camp in our backyard. If you seek Him, He will guide you and you will know it's Him. Keep seeking His will and asking to be led into His truth. He is faithful and will truly lead you along the right path for His Name Sake💕 Shabbat Shalom 💕

    Thank you so much. Great reminder. Watched Amy's video from the retreat, so many good topics. Intentional parenting 🙌 i really appreciate the wisdom from seasoned believers.
    I would like a chance for the giveaway. Honestly, been walking this out for 6 years now, and Shabbat has always been a struggle. Routines and meal plans are my kryponite, but I know it is supposed to be a joy. I look forward to making a plan on Sunday to set chores for certain days so I can be better prepared.
    Be blessed, shalom

    Hi, Raquel 🕊🏡I enjoyed this video. Very encouraging and helpful. Today, I was able to lightly clean the house and prepare food for tonight and tomorrow because of deep cleaning and tidying up Monday through Thursday. 🧹🧼
    I commented on Amy’s video yesterday (the one with her children playing the piano. So awesome!) and left a comment. I also watched her video on Luke’s and Kayte’s podcast and mentioned it in the comment as well. Which is super 🎉AWESOME!!!🎉

    I think the go go go can also be a huge distraction. During the day of each day I'm trying to take a be still moment to be more aware of my day and all that's going on instead of being in that routine zone and pretty much being a robot as I go.

    Right there with you, I guess I never noticed how much Maintenance Cleaning I do in a single day but, My Goodness, the house is a wreck Sunday morning! If I adhere to a solid 24hrs, ending at 9:01pm Saturday, I feel like I undo my rest just trying to catch up on cleaning. It's exhausting!!!

      I have a reallllly old video about my speed cleaning routine on Sunday morning for a reset to the house. You may find it helpful. There are portions that have lost their audio due to copyright issues, but I think you can still get the idea. 😊 But aside from that, I do love the TOD (Task of the Day) to help me get everything done without feeling like I have to ‘catch up.’ There’s a day for everything, and I just have to wait for that day to come around. 🤗 Shalom, sister!!

    I really need to get back into having an assigned chore for each day of the week! I also moved and then had a baby last Fall, and we still don't have everything unpacked yet. I'm having a really hard time getting into a rhythm. In our old house, my schedule was based on the layout of our house, I worked from one end to the other, and ever since moving and having a fourth baby, plus my other baby becoming a toddler, I just haven't been able to figure out a schedule that works for me yet.
    I'm curious, how do you structure your days? Do you have a designated time of day that you have for the chores of the day? When do you homeschool? I feel like I need a daily schedule before I can implement a weekly one.

    • @WomenLivingTorah
      @WomenLivingTorah  2 месяца назад

      Our lives sound similar! 😆 I do have a natural flow to my day and basic ‘schedule’ or routine that guides us. Usually, the task of the day happens in the afternoon, as we spend a lot of the morning doing morning chores/school.
      I would write down what you’re currently doing- you wake up, then what? What are you already doing? And then make adjustments here and there. When you write down your schedule, even if you don’t ‘technically’ have one, it helps us to better pinpoint what’s working and what’s not!!

    How do you feel about hosting people in your home on the Sabbath, making food, feeding them, cleaning up after them, playing with their kids so the adults can watch a biblically instructive video and have meaningful conversation, etc.

      Love it! We used to do something similar nearly every Shabbat until it turned into an actual Congregation. I’d make food ahead of time, and then we’d have everyone over for a Torah service & ‘potluck.’ We usually used paper products, but occasionally, I’d use dishes and just have everyone stack them neatly by the sink for me to take care of after Shabbat. Obviously, we’d put the food away and wipe the tables down, or pick up food that was fallen, etc. Hospitality and love to our fellow neighbor is hospitality and love to the Lord! It’s not ‘labor.’ 💕
