If they don't win it's a shame.
For it's one, two, three strikes, you're out,
At the old ball game."

That “charge motif” used as the introduction was “composed” by a trumpeter in the USC marching band and used to rile up the crowds at football games at the Los Angeles Memorial Colosseum. It became so popular it was also played at Dodger home games and forever after that it became affiliated with baseball. For Angel fans as a bit of trivia, Jack Norworth’s final resting place is located at Melrose Abbey in Anaheim.
Thanks for sharing this history!
This takes me back to when I was just a preschooler and my folks took the whole family to see the Cubs play at Wrigley Field. Have loved the game all of my life.
I became a Cardinal fan. One of my biggest thrills was to see game 6 of the 1982 series at Busch. They went on to win that series in game 7. Second biggest thrill was to get to visit Cooperstown.
That sounds wonderful! My mother played the organ for the LDS church and I remember being around organs this large in the 80's. This one sounds great!!! WOW! Thanks for sharing this!
Excellent 🎉 Bravo 🎉 How could anyone NOT smile when listening to that fun summertime tune 😂🎉
PLAY BALL 🎉🎉🎉
What I love this most is that the young man is enjoying playing this so much. Love this rendition too ❤❤
Awwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww... The memories I have of going to games with my dad and my uncle...
wow that sounds actually like a theatre organ! the reeds are awesome1
It would be cool if one of the indoor MLB stadiums had a giant pipe organ in the upper deck to give the ambiance some kind of mystical church-like feeling. As opposed to an electric style sound typical of stadiums
And the organist sits there above everyone else watching the game and playing all the little jingles and tunes
Yes! That would be fantastic!
I'm a Dodger fan but this would be sick for the Padres w/ their namesake and all
You’d be lucky to find a major league stadium that utilizes organ music these days. And for those that do it is only partial. Most of the time it’s pop music provided by a dj or someone who just has to press a button.
@@jamesdakrn I bet Dieter Ruhle is envious of this, lol - GO DODGERS!!!!!!!!
fun great job, I love the sound of the organ playing one of my favorite songs" Take Me Out to the Ballgame"
Best ever!. Like the beginning of a battle scene in a carnival of acrobatics and scene setting. Play ball.
Brilliant - love this! Thank you!
Thank you! We play this and sing along at home during the 7th inning stretch when we watch the Giants. We're kind of nerds... but we have fun! 😂
I remember hearing this in the first Kidsongs episode "A Day on Old MacDonald's Farm" as a kid. I did hear other versions of it.
But I'm here at this organ cover since I treated my dad to a Whitecaps ball game against the Wisconsin Rattlers. We lost, of course, but regardless, game tickets are worth every penny when we watch it. I posted a Facebook post with a cover I came up with for this song, and he loved it!
Would it be ok if I used this as background music if I link to this video onscreen at the end of the video?
the facial expressions are great .. love this..
Very nice!! ⚾
Minnesota Twins memories! TC (their mascot) would always appear on the screens during the sing along, sometimes with kids, and always sign-language the lyrics! 💖💖💖 (I think they still do it Btw! I only very rarely go to Twins games now, mainly due to life and both me and my parents just not having time to go to Target Field. (At least not as much as when it first opened, or when our old stadium, the Metrodome was still around, and was the Twins’ home stadium.)
You are AMAZING! I could use you at my house around 8am each day. I would gladly get up to watch you play on that magnificent instrument. ~wink~
That's so lovely and thoughtful! Thank you so much! Wishing you a marvelous 2022!
My grandson really wants me to play this for him. Where can I purchase sheet music for this fabulous organ rendition??
I just adapted from this copy. I hope this helps! Thank you! digitalcommons.conncoll.edu/cgi/viewcontent.cgi?article=2488&context=sheetmusic
@@ArtsFoundationofStAndrew Thank you for taking the time to answer me!
@@melanielow6829 Did you ever get to do it?
MORE!!!! This was awesome!!!
I luuuuvveeeeee that bass 😍😍😍
Very wonderful rendition! Would I be allowed to use it in a charity event that is non-profit? I would love to use this for the event if so!
(hint: it's for a videogame-playing dog )
Loved the pedal gliss at the end!!!
Why not, right?? Thank you!
I Heard of the real song from Everyone’s Hero Movie the end credits and it’s a little hard to find in the end credits on Everyone’s Hero Movie but it can also a bit easy to find. 👍🎧
Can this be played without the pedal board you see I am an organist to and I am just wondering?
I should think so, though the left hand would need to be a bit more active to play the bass line and the harmonic/rhythmic accompaniment, but I don't see why that wouldn't work! I'm sure people would still enjoy it!
The high pressure reed that you're playing the melody on is (presumably) the Festival Trumpet? My thought was that it was too bright/brilliant to be a 'proper' Tuba, 'proper' as in English organ or E.M.Skinner voicing...
Yes yes, it's the en chamade. There's a tuba on the instrument as well, though.
Amazing music! ⚾️🎶🏟
This video got me curious and I just learned about Organ Shoes. I had no idea there were special shoes for playing the organ.
Those are with NO Doubt trumpet organ pipes!
Hell yeah can't beat that
Awesome playing
Excellent! Enjoyed this. Good work
Are these songs free to use or is there any form of copyright on them?
I believe this tune falls outside copyright restrictions. Certain arrangements may not though.
there's a solo keyboard version here ruclips.net/user/shortsYfmZI7Jk32w?si=WRfz4MHoy42_58AF
Every single You Tube video I try to play just has a spinning circle and won't play. This is new on my computer. Very frustrating!
