One thing to every parent and student watching is to take an engineering stream based on interest like going into core else go for cse, placement prep is done by curriculum itself
Don’t fall for this type of advice, even though what is he saying is true, of course you can get placed in IT companies with non-it background, but out of 100 graduates who are placed 10-15 % will placed in developing domain or good domain, I’m not degrading any other domain, the thing is many of will be hired for development and will be working some other domain such as support, network engineer, system engineer…., those are good though, but if you are choosing non it group in the sense that you can achieve what cse background guy can achieve that’s total bullshit, but not impossible with proper skill you can achieve it no matter what’s the height is, but you can’t achieve it with few course spending 3-4months, you need to min spend 1 year with tons of practice , so you can get placed under 15-20 LPA, his words are in experienced don’t fall for it, no one can get a good job in one or two course, if you willing to spend 1 and half year in learning after college or while pursuing, you are good to go My advice if you’re willing to spend mote than 1 yrs to study IT /CSE then you should take CSE not Non IT
