Stunning! I'm so glad you stayed in a tower when you are young and fit because you can't do it when you get older. Imagine the workers who had to carry materials up the stairs and build out the electrical, plumbing, etc...and bring in all the furnishings. They must have legs of steel. Thank you for sharing your adventures in Italy with us!
The renovations must have been a HUGE job! It’s pretty amazing! The owner told us they used cranes to lift materials and furniture up through the two windows!
You guys should visit Nicki Positano! Her and her husband Carlo have a home that's 500 steps from their main roadway 😂
What an experience! I was going to comment at beginning of video that the claustrophobia was hitting me through the screen as soon as you guys were in there but I waited til the end, then Jessi said it! Don't know if I could stay there 😂
😅 the thought of those with claustrophobia definitely crossed our minds while we were staying there! It was such an amazing experience though!!
A-ma-zing! Thank you for sharing with those of us who will never get to experience that. Plus I haven’t laughed so hard in a long time as I did with Alessio carrying the pot of pasta up and up and up!!! 😅😂🤣 Well filmed and edited, guys. Well done!
My wife and I went to Tuscany for our honeymoon
The beauty of San Gimignano was probably one of our favourite things
Plus the food obviously 😂
Thanks for reminding us with this amazing video
What a beautiful Honeymoon destination!! You guys will need to go back for an anniversary trip in the future too!
Now Jessi is going to want a castle WITH a tower so she could have the best of both worlds! What an interesting experience.
You know me too well 😉
Do they have earthquakes in Tuscany? Asking for a friend 😊
Alessio, per vivere lì ci vuole il certificato medico....elettrocardiogramma normale e sotto sforzo...quando hai prenotato non te lo hanno chiesto ? ahahahah
I never laughed so much you two are so entertaining, I mean I've been to Tuscany but I definitely would not climb that many stairs, and I definitely would have tumbled down the stairs after drinking the vino. 😊😊
Wow, that is amazing! Don't get into your sixties and live in tower. Forgetfulness really comes to play! Glasses, keys, purse etc. Lollollol😅
So beautiful. I can only imagine that you felt very happy when you guys were editing this video because it allowed you to relive the memories of Italy.
Yes! This was a fun one. Such a great experience!!
You guys are so funny!! I was laughing so hard especially with the whole stair thing watching Alessio taking the pasta upstairs while the number of stairs was going up and up 😂. Definitely charming for a night or two but not to live in 😅🤣
I was laughing so hard with Alessio carrying the pasta pot up too! 😅😂🤣
It took so long to match the stair numbers with his steps. I was cracking up too 😂
@@ThePasinis This will now be my go-to video when I want to have a good laugh 😂Thank you guys!! Really looking forward to your next video :)
I liked this video very much. We've been this to this village years ago. Didn't know you could rent a tower. Magical. This was a very 'sharing' video. Nothing flashy. Thank you for being so open with us. You know, you have to get a print of the picture at about 03:26 in the vid. Where ever you live that picture captures the love of two people.
Thank you so much! We’ve been trying to make the videos more like something you guys can experience with us. To help you feel like you’re there too!
Would love a print if the artwork! It even has a little cat at the bottom!! Perfect for our cat!
La Toscana è una delle regioni più belle d’Italia San Gimignano è una gemma del paese ❤
Claustrophobic- yes, I think I would have that feeling there. A feeling of being trapped. A little bit inconvenient of the constant up and down the stairs for almost everything. Waking up during the night to go to the bathroom would be too much of a challenge for me. Probably fall down the stairs. I’m sure, however, it was quite an experience to stay in such an historic castle. So glad u had that opportunity and enjoyed it and all the beauty of Tuscany from the window views and the top of the tower. Salute
Damn the drama queen is strong 😂
Summer of 2021 we 1st went to San Gimignano! Thank goodness no crowds because of Covid!! Loved it so much we went back 2 more times. Gelateria Dondoli is delicious and we even met the owner our 1st visit. ❤️
14:41 nobody said being Rapunzel is easy
The way my bladder is set up I would never make it to the 3rd floor to the bathroom 😂😂 Very beautiful place! ❤❤
siete vicini a casa mia , san gimignano è splendida , mi raccomando gustatevi la vernaccia e il gelato del dondoli
Oh wow I could never stay there I have asthma an COPD and my husband can't walk good and were older but it is so beautiful.
I hope the owners are paying the housekeeper triple to clean the place! Where is the laundry room, in the basement? Great video regazzi, I love the background music. It fit perfectly.
I cried so much laughing that I got dehydrated. It's orbidden to forget forks or toothpaste... or to go to the bathroom in the middle of the night! But... What a beautiful view from the top of the Tower! What a magical atmosphere with the candles (like I. the Middle Ages!). Jessie you are a perfect Rapunzel! Alessio have you already asked how much it costs to buy a tower? This video is magnificent... and next ones seems to be wonderful as well! ❤
Thank you so much! So glad you enjoyed it! We will never forget the feeling of forgetting something in another floor haha. We did it too many times to even film. It was such a fun and beautiful experience!
I will book a room as soon as they install an elevator lol😅
8:52 Rapunzel doing Rapunzel things
It's true!! 😅
It really is like stepping back in time, watching this just made me appreciate Italy's beauty even more
Wow looks beautiful but the stairs is much 😂Alessio forgot the toothpaste downstairs 😂😅 Have a great trip thanks for sharing your trip video ❤
Charmed life♥️🙏🏼
That is so amazing how they refurbished and built out that space to make it an Airbnb it’s beautiful
Yes! They poured an unbelievable amount of work and love into it!
@@ThePasinis it looked amazinnnng. And one hell of a workout! Toscsna is BELLISSIMA 🥰
Perché è Italia così bellissima? Sono innamorata di tutta l'Italia!!!😍
If there was ever a need for a dumbwaiter, this would be the place. Kitchen on the bottom and dining on the roof.
Such a unique experience ... and sharing you adventure! Your enjoyment of whatever you are doing is contagious - you make everyone feel like they are with you! This makes me want to go to Tuscany!
Beautiful, thank you for sharing! That life is how it was meant to be. Metropolitan city life has destroyed the fabric of our families, faith and freedoms.
How truly amazing. Like a fairy tale. You guys know how to live❤
It’s was magical and we are so grateful we got to see it!
Which amore did the edit with the dramatic music and counting Alessi's steps 🤣
Gives new meaning to the phrase of "getting your steps in," eh?
On a eerily funny side note: the first automated YT commercial that popped up in the beginning was an app/channel to learn Italian.
Wow guys that’s absolutely amazing except the stair’s going up and down lol . Enjoy it guys Tuscany is so beautiful.
Tuscany is magical! We LOVE it!
Great video. Jessi, show us more about you, your culture, your ethnicity, where you grew up! Why always about Alessio’s culture and birthplace. who are you? I know you live in Nashville but you never show that amazing city or cook meals you grew up on or about you life.
YES! ❤
I visited this tower today. I’ve gotta say, I’d hate to stay there, it’s beautiful but climbing all those levels would drive me crazy!
What an incredible experience! ❤
This was the most fascinating video you have made 😂. I could feel the tired. But also the beauty. ❤
Beautiful Enjoy Guys!
That's a lot of levels and steps.. too many for me. Lol it's a beautiful view, but I'd get claustrophobic in there and get panic attacks..
Bella, peró dal video sembra un pó claustrofobica, sicuramente un'esperienza unica, penso che la prossima casa la sceglierete con un piano solo, con tante finestre e con le pareti di carta.😄
I’m going to read your minds... “I’m so glad we stayed in the tower!” “I wouldn’t be in a hurry to do it again.”
Name this tower “JIM” so, you guys can say you’ve been in the Jim (gym) all day! Lol
💯
Made a third visit to San G last fall. Given her knee replacements, my bride won’t be suggesting a stay there on our next trip. 😊
Do they not have WD40 in Tuscany? That fridge doesn’t have to squeak like that and it’ll last longer if it doesn’t..
😢
I love this video so much!!! Can’t wait to see more of Tuscany. Love you guys
We absolutely love the Tuscany region especially SG, Siena, Montepulciano, etc. Our second visit was last September (first was 2001). This makes me want to go back again, only not 21 years apart.
Yes!!! You must go back! We are already planning our return trip haha
Owners should put in a dumb waiter. It would have to be exposed but geez it would make it a lot easier.
I remember Antonio Carluccio and Gennaro Contaldo staying there as well in their show Two Greedy Italians.
Ciao ragazzi, Falling in love with Toscana? Wait until you get to the Val D'dorcia: Bagni San Filippo, Abbazia San Antimo, Pienza, Monticchiello, Monte Amiata, e altro ancora. Mamma mia, molto bello!
Buon Viaggio!
What a gorgeous place! Thanks for listing your favorite olive oil brand. BTW, if you can, try to visit Bonati farm south of Parma -- they are really nice, and have my favorite Parmigiano and Passata.
This view has literally taken my breath away!
Omg u are using a sauce in a bottle…those steps got to you quickly
So beautiful and how amazing to stay in a castle tower. You both look happy ❤️🤗
This is incredible. Thank you for sharing!
(I can’t believe they didn’t have a dumb waiter! 😳)
21:57 tobey maguire spideman 😆
2:25-2:32 YES! I've been saying this for many vlogs. Glad it finally caught on and it wasn't just me.
Alessio being so romantic..400 steps up in the air
Beautiful! Gorgeous!! Incredible!!! I was transported!!!! Thank you for sharing; your amazing experience> Much love and joy from SoCal. ❤❤
16:14 she couldn't resist! 😆 "dai, amore!"
Oh man! (I'm not quite through the video but ) I need to stay there!
What did he say when he went to the window, the English are coming? It's tiring just watching this video.
It's okay, after I wrote that, I realized that was what it was.
Are they there for the bike race, the giero?
The Giro d'Italia was in Tuscany on 16-17 May. But I don't know when they recorded this video
WOW!!! WOW!!! WOW!!! This is so beautiful... I would love to live there!!! ❤❤❤Thank you for sharing!!! 😊😊😊
whoever lived there must be super fit, free stairmaster in the house. very pretty though
Why?? Why there is so much suffering in this video 😅
Now you understand life in a submatine!!!
What a beautiful place 🤩. I wouldn't want to leave. Enjoy your trip.
Thank you so much!!
We went to San Giminano with my daughter’s Europe club trip. It was so beautiful! And great gelato 🍨
Sempre più carini!!!!!!!!!
Cheers from a real funny guy.😮😊
So incredible! Plan your days carefully though, right?? Once you get back you might not want to leave!
This is amazing! I think the stairs might be worth it for that experience! I’d live in a tower too, but I would prefer bedroom and bathroom on the same floor!😂
I was just in San Gimignano 2 weeks ago and i swear 9:30 was when EVERYONE was out 😂
I would of ate from the pot 😁 also the breeze is extra great walking all those stairs!
So beautiful but I have come to the conclusion that I am way out of shape to stay there. 😂
Thank you guys for sharing, what a very interesting place. You guys are so much fun.
I like the multi-camera POV 👍
This beautiful, fun loving, genuine couple knows how to film videos. I'm living my 65 year old life through them. ❤ Best channel on you tube!!!!!!
Love watching your adventures, rock box and all 😂🤩 The steps are about as wide as an old country farm house 😂, fun!
Hope you are both safe. Heard about flooding in Italy 😯
It was far away from them. 🙂
21:04 😂
19:24 😂
This video is a ma😊sterpiiece!!
Love this town and so quiet at night like you said as tourists usually come for the day. Amazing place.
Yes! It was quite a difference. There was a hustle and bustle during the day and then almost total quiet at night. We loved it!
awe love so beautiful
Absolutely beautiful 💙🩷🫶🫶🙏🙏🍷🍷🍝🍝 the stairs would definitely kill me. 🥴🥴🥴🌷🪻🌷🪻💙🩷🫶🫶
This place looks exhausting. Oh, and speaking of exhausting: Alessio, what do you think of these methods of using a moka? ruclips.net/video/BfDLoIvb0w4/видео.html
I had to laugh, since I’ve been using a moka since I was a teenager in Vienna. But I’m interested to know what you think.
Enjoy the rest of your trip!
I don't know guys you would have found me laying down in between one of those floors, I wouldn't have made it. 😂 Absolutely beautiful place and views though, so peaceful. I love it.
Wonderful U2 and being really happy with life in Italy. many thanks to your video............Namaste
Those towers are a rather interesting solution to a specific “problem”.
Iirc most of the European nobility in the Middle Ages generally built castles and at best towns sprang up around them but (some) Italian nobles preferred to live in already existing towns and, to fulfil their need for defensive architecture, they built these towers in the towns instead…
It’s basically a tower house but if I don’t err most tower houses in Italy were actually built in the style of Bergfrieds rather than Donjons, with main living accommodations being not in the towers themselves but rather palazzi.
The difference between Bergfried and Donjon being that a Bergfried is mostly a phenomenon of the Germanic area and serves purely as defensive architecture where inhabitants of a castle would flee to as a last resort when all else was breached and conquered while a Donjon or Keep or tour maîtresse or great tower is mostly a phenomenon of the Franco-Brittanic area that not only functions as defensive architecture but also serves as housing.
Also, tower houses were ofc not a purely Italian phenomenon, iirc there are also extant examples in germany, Great Britain, and Spain. But I think the San Gimignano towers are among the most famous.
Oh my god i would've FAINTED while going up those stairs christ😭😭😭😭
Do you know what I just noticed? That every time I watch of video of yours I find myself smiling all throughout! Itś SO nice...!! You two have a way of sharing your adventures that really feels like you are taking us with you, and the way you enjoy life together is so heart-warming and uplifting... And of course I know about the challenges that you have so openly shared as well, but because you two have such lovely, lovely, genuine energy, I just wanted you to know that your videos actually do have a healing impact... At least on me :-). Much love to you both and I cannot wait to keep watching a bunch more of your videos! Xoxox P.S. I laughed sooo hard when Alessio was going up the stairs with the pasta and you played that music while the number of steps showed up on the sreeeen! Hahahahaha :p
Awesome! We have this tower booked for two nights this May. And was kind of gonna suprise my wife with the tower, but now thinking about the smaller space, claustraphobic aspect. She hasn't had that, but could really see it. Looks like the bedroom has two windows. Did they open for fresh air by chance? Lovely vids as always.
Been to San Gimignano. It’s like living in a beautiful picture!
Did ya'll meet in college?
I looked at staying here once, but at $600-a-night, I thought it was way overpriced. Maybe if there was a hot guy to carry me up and down. I love San Gimignano. It's fun to stay inside the city walls, but there are also wonderful places to stay in the surrounding land.
How is the weather inside? Just curious? Is it hot or cold? Imagine you have package to get downstairs and you forgot your i.d or money upstairs 😂 but this is exciting 😍 maybe your knees is soar already 😅
That has to be the most Ridiculous design ever!!!! Who puts a kitchen on one floor and the plates and utensils on another floor several floors apart? With 6 foot thick walls, how was the temperature? Was it very much cooler than outside?
