    Do you hear any crackle on shifts? Currently have a gt haus midpipe on my is500 and when Ill shift at higher rpms from 2nd to 3rd, it'll give a small LC500 type of "crack" sound. Do you get that with the resonated Apexi midpipe? I'm thinking of making the switch, but it's hard to dislike that shift sound with the gt haus haha

      I’ll have to see if it’ll crackle on the 2nd to 3rd upshift next time I don’t have our two lil ones in the backseat …

    How is the cabin like with this mid pipe? I mostly looking for a bit more sound with the fake sounds off, and limited or no drone. Not concerned about waking up my entire neighbourhood in the mornings

    • @jo_ro_
      @jo_ro_  Год назад

      No drone at all. With the windows up it’s now about the same volume level inside as it was pre-midpipe with ASC turned all the way up in Sport+ mode.

      @@jo_ro_ so mostly louder from the outside? with windows down while driving can you hear it more? Overall, do you think it’s worth it? Appreciate your help! Kinda leaning towards waiting or saving up for a valved cat back.

      Ya windows down its a LOT louder than before. But car is so well insulated it doesn’t get that loud inside with the windows up.
      I wanted a valved cat back too but was waiting until one came out with OEM type oval exhaust tips that weren’t ginormous. Figured could do a midpipe only for now and later on get the axle back version should one come out that keeps the OEM exhaust tip look. Glad I did as with the midpipe I now have zero desire to get a valved exhaust so saved a ton of $$$.

      @@jo_ro_thank you bro 🙏 damn, i think regardless what I go for, I will go resonated. Just got to decide if I go full cat back 🤔

      100% agreed on resonated … I can’t stand the mechanical tinny raspiness sound of an unresonated exhaust. Like fingernails on a chalkboard to my ears.

    Mid pipe only, OEM mufflers?

    • @jo_ro_
      @jo_ro_  Год назад +1

      Yep. OEM mufflers, only thing different from stock is the Apexi resonated midpipe.

    • @jo_ro_
      @jo_ro_  Год назад +3

      @@lojackfty Not at all. Personal preference but I really don’t like the raspiness of non-resonated exhausts when revved and under acceleration. Just sounds too much like a teenager’s car with a fart box cheap exhaust.

      @@jo_ro_ I have a 2015 RC F with the N1 resonated Apexi cat back system. It sounds amazing . You get some drone but not close to the level of the non res setup. You do get the sound of a quality system. Yours sounds pretty good.
