I have no martial training. Watching this is pure joy. Judo is incredible to watch when done well.
TWA
The problem with judo that its nice to watch cherry-picked moments. But when you see a whole fight or a tournament it gets a bit boring.
Tomas Impresarijus this is true fellow Tomas
@@tomasimpresarijus9426 Kind of.
I do judo myself and have blue belt.
I do get bored watching a fight sometimes, but the throws or the attempts are more impressive if you know the technique and when you fight yourself it is even cooler
3:15 was probably the best, you can just hear the thud. He wasn't expecting that directional switch.
Ifumi the beeeeest
Aww man, that throw is very usefull if you are shorter than your oponent*(grammar)
That's why I hate it, I'm tall...
Aww man it was beautiful whatever he did
3:14 is my favorite. So crisp and fast.
This is one of the best ippon compilations I've ever seen, every single one of these is absolutely gorgeous
100%
This is probably a first for me to enjoy every single ippon done in an ippons compilation highlight.
Each are simply beautiful to watch and the best thing is each had their own clear slow-mo for us to truly adore the throw.
Well done.
Man, I'm a BJJ pratictioner, but Judo throws are just beautiful.
Tentacles preach
Basically just judo
Judo takedowns then Bjj groundwork rip
@@cahles6679
If done correct,
No can defend.
Lol
Ive been a wrestler and judoka for 35 of my 46 years and all of my Bjj and MMA friends respect the takedown.
😁🥋
It just takes so much work to get good enough to pull this off in competition; seems so much easier to learn single and double leg take downs
When a throw comes together, it’s pure poetry in motion.
No one cares about your life
@@NC-hu6xd LMAO
@@NC-hu6xd He didn't even say he did judo
People underestimate Judo... they look at this and see how most people can get up after being thrown but in a street if you’re thrown on your back on concrete without knowing how to fall is really bad
2:05 is my favorite, just impressive
What's the name of that throw? I want to learn it.
@@paulwalker2785 o goshi
just dumb lmao
It’s absolutely brilliant. White’s left arm wraps around blue’s hips like any normal ogoshi, but look closely at BLUE’S nape (back of the neck). White has her RIGHT HAND, yes, HER RIGHT HAND underhooking blue and pushing blue’s head down.
EDIT: pause at 2:08 and look at blue’s nape
3:40 best cheat ;) what a reflex and mind
이런건 처음 봤음
Lol i use that in bjj since im a little guy . guys 85 to 95 kilos drop like a sack of potatoes. Im 73 kilos." Its all in the hips " have a great day
I'm not a judoka; what is the cheat?
@@Thomasuki267It's when u fool someone giving him a wrong indication.
@@theundead1600 yeah, sure you does.. Sucker
3:15 hurts just looking at it
More exhilarating than pain
I saw that as such a deceptive ippon
...but did you or anyone else notice how dangerous the one at 3:35 was. he didnt tuck his head in, easily a situation where one breaks their neck.
@@Gizziiusa it's a lady
@@patternaross2317 ahh, it a female, sure. dunno if she's a lady as I would need to meet face to face to determine that. thx for the clarification though.
You've got to appreciate Judo highlights!
The reaction time for the people being thrown to tuck their head and shoulders is incredible
When I was training for my 1st Dan 15 years ago my training partner and I got traning where we had to practice a technique 1000 consecutive times.
So you fall 1000 times right after eachother.
Once this was finally over we had 2 hours break and the next training was to re-do previous training.
You can imagine how many times you need to fall during training.
i do bjj and judo....and thank god i do judo...this is simply wonderful and brings joy and meaning to my life
Same bro
ONO shoei was and still the best. 👍❤
The Ososto Gari at 3:15 was flawless.
That's we like to watch. Thks to upload.
They all are amazing throws, but 3:40 is my favorite.
That final throw was absolutely beautiful and powerful!
I love watching judo!
and THAT IS WHY JUDO IS THE STRONGEST MARTIAL ART
I love Judo🥋
Amazing!!!
That ippon seoi nage at 1:50 was flippin beautiful
You're right!!!!
1:53 Finally a real seoi nage
Daniel Martins yeah none of that drop bs /s
ippon seoi nage!!!! beautiful!!!
That last one is so aggressive, what a beast
Nice kouchi from Mukai!
Judo is just beautiful!
One of the few arts where practice is practical. No filler just usable technique. Wish i had learned this.
Wow... number 6... what unbelievable power to faint a shoulder throw to the left and then just go directly through the opponent. Crushing!!!!
I need to watch this in slo motion to really get what’s happening
Judo is favorite sports❤❤
These are ALL GOLDS.
Where Smetov-Kyrgyzbayev
Aibekuly-Dashvadaa
Lutfillayev-Kyrgyzbayev
Lutfillayev-Takato
They were all good. Number 11 was the best in my opinion. Not only was the throw incredible, Lele Nairne protected her opponent's head and neck on the way down. 💯Very good!
It is very nice performance
Judo was the first martial art I ever trained in, and still my favorite. I've been learning some Japanese Jujutsu lately, but if I could still do Judo, you better believe that I would. I still love watching Judo matches whenever I can. I especially admire and respect the severity that hardcore Japanese practitioners take it.
From what I understand, the serious competitors are taught to view every throw as a life or death situation, not just as a point, metaphorically anyway. I'm not saying that they are invincible or that other competitors from across the world don't also share this viewpoint, but it's interesting to see how some look at Judo in much the same way that fighters back in past eras likely did.
For some, it's not just as a competition. I've heard their dedication explained in this manner in a documentary I saw a long while back, anyway. It was a series called, "Samurai Spirit," hosted by a Kyokushin karate Champion and former Kickboxer named Nicholas Pettis. He would go around Japan and learn more about other Japanese marital arts outside of his own. They did an episode on Judo among others. If anyone is interested, you can likely still find it on RUclips. It's pretty great :D
Jujutsu? Doesnt exist
@@BramKaasMan It's the original spelling that refers to the Japanese martial art, not to be confused with Jiu Jitsu, or Brazilian Jiu Jitsu to be more specific.
@@loneronin6813 jūjutsu you mean
@@loneronin6813 jiu jitsu is Brazilian
@@BramKaasMan Yes I do, but I don't know how to put the proper accent over the first "u" on a keyboard sadly lol Besides, isn't that kind of splitting hairs? I'm fully aware that spelling it, "Jiu Jitsu," is Brazilian. I said as much in my first response :P
wonderful stuff!!!
I'm a noob... is there any similarity between judo and sumo footwork?
This stuff is just awesome!
the first place, what a leg lock thats awsome
Как жаль, что в дзюдо стало мало таких красивых моментов. Обеднело современное дзюдо. Мало в нем стало бросков.
3:54 best throw because he falls into juji gatame
Lol.overkill
Oss
I love judo , that is all.
日本人以外の選手も技が力任せやなくて綺麗になってきてるよね!
wow i love it
Hermosos todos, realmente que lindo es el Judo
Fantastic
Keep an eye on the hips people ... it’s much more hips than legs, but the legs catch your eye ... absolutely beautiful.
3:54 that the right one Judo leads into jujitstsu one. Kungfu Male female forms. Ying yang. . Qigong Tai Chi, Akido Hapkido
Judo Jujitsu one art flows into the other.
I like o goshi throws these men used in this competition because I used o goshi when I was doing judo.
02:00 ..the most beautiful IPPON ever
お見事!
Very good seoi nage(a judo technique).
Awesome!!!!
0:53min
For me the best was at @3:15 timing, timing feels great man!
Edit: number 4 is amazing aswell! maybe a tie

Japan team, the best
Tajikistan judo best
what would the throw at 0:48 be called? it looks like Uchi mata but from the wrong direction?
1:20 クリスタガンバレ❗️
What's the throw called at 3:15? (NVM just noticed that the change in direction was so clean it made the osoto gari look like a different throw)
Strategia di attacco e difesa per uomo e donna. Uniche speciali .
Ahhhh, I see you know your judo well. Good stuff.
Nice ✌
2:57 wow
how come no single best ippon from GEO Judokas?! super strange!
Ajajajja Shohei Ono ya no revienta su cabeza en el suelo para tumbar XD. Amo estos tops
2:51 my favorite.
I think we were all fooled on that last one. "There it go-- no, he was stoppe---" *splat*
Ahhh these are so satisfying to watch, but I'm cringing every time they don't break fall correctly.
Awesome
1:55 мой любимый приём - спинка
Não tem pra onde correr o melhor judô do mundo é o japonês 🥋
super
1:41 Is this allowed (once again)? I remember this being banned many years ago, because you initiate Ne-waza.
fantástico
+1000 )) very good. Exelent
Lindo esporte👏👏👏
I typed ippon because I play Ninjala but this is better
Nice
Kachakorn Warasiha (THA), Simeon Catharina (NED), Christa Deguchi (CAN), Hifumi Abe (JPN) & Ben Fletcher (IRL): The best's!
やっぱり大野選手と阿部選手のがお気に入りだなあ
seismic toss at the end good heavens
charming sport
So gooooooooooddddd
Vem tranqüilo 😈
#11 should have been #1. That throw looks like something out of pro wrestling.
Ninjala where you at?
Soichi Hasimoto one handed Sode Tsuri should be rank too
Pandu Islami it was in the team competition
Le judo, c'est toute ma vie
3, 2 & 1 yes. The others were generous.
What I learned from this is don't challenge Japan in the sport it created
Top #6
I am the best Judoka
Can I start judo at 38 and compete?
Japan is rolling!
0:56 man got pissed haha de-ashi-barai
