When I played RRR for the first time, due to seeing trailers of the scrapped version, I was convinced once I beat all mini games that Rayman will escape from prison and that the real deal will start. Was so sad when that did not happen. Thank you for making it possible for Rayman to fight Rabbids and escaping prison in epic way!
We're entering a new era in Rayman modding, maybe we will finally be able to actually make a Rayman 4 mod using all of this, this is extremely exciting!
This is some of the coolest Rayman modding I have ever seen. It’s like experiencing a whole new Rayman game! Your work on the map editor has been spectacular so far! Seeing Rayman in New York had such a Mario Odyssey feeling to it, and the final battle was great too! Amazing work all around, keep it up!

Actually, about everything you said, Raving Rabbids on the Gameboy Advanced actually had everything you described where Rayman could break free from prison, the rabbids stole Rayman's hands from him, but you soon get them back and you get to punt the crap out of those little cretins and ultimately save the world. The rabbids were also a lot more scary and intelligent in that version. It's the closet thing we have to a Rayman 4 and I suggest you play it if you haven't already, it's really good. It's a shame the 3D versions reduced it to a lame series of uninspired party games.
I knew the game was different by looking at the early footage as a kid and having the DS version of this game which was somewhat influenced by the prototype, but damn! I didn't know this much stuff was cut. Unused animations, early models replaced with final models but still have the coding of the earlier models! Imagine playing the game like this. I love Raving Rabbids 1 and 2 both on DS and Wii but just imagine that Rayman 4 will be like this in release!
The love for the franchise in this community is simply amazing. These mods are making us slowly get the proper Rayman 4 we were all waiting and hoping for. Outstanding work.

It's actually a platformer where Rayman saves the world from the rabbids, and the rabbids were actually much more smarter, actually capable of intelligent speech, and were surprisingly scary instead of the dumb looking, moronic pea-brained things that scream at the top of their lungs.
Man... My one of my childhood dreams comes true here... Always wanna play for next, "full platforming" Rayman game after Hooldum Havoc but didn't come by... But after 17 years later this became a fact! :D On this video IT'S a REAL raving rabbids! not this official $3!t released in 2006... I'll patiently wait for final release of this mod/game. Thanks guys for digging one of my brightest gems of my childhood. Love ya!
This is so cool! I played through RRR for the first time May 2021 and I saw a video showcasing the prototype animations and AI, etc. Playing RRR 3 today and I remembered that video, but I'm happily surprised to see there's now a whole modding scene going on to create new gameplay stemming from these unfinished assets. Really cool to see Rayman and the Rabbids on Hillys as well. Nice work!
With the Rayman 4 asset leak coming out, along with the editor for the game, it could be that we really do receive the closest thing to Rayman 4 possible. I'm not even the biggest fan of Rayman; never played any of his games, but the concept for this game, at least seeing FrameRater's video on it, really fascinated me, so I'm hoping to see this project become something huge. I'd keep in mind the GBA game and the DS game for a reference on what the game could've been, and I wish you guys the best of luck.

I gotta tell yah. As much as I Enjoyed Raving Rabbids, I can't deny that this would've been a FAR superior game had they stuck to this route. Someday we'll get an official Rayman 4...someday
4:24 and 7:24 For those that want to see these levels in their original context look up "In the Streets of New York" and "On the Raft" from the King Kong game.
It's still cool to me that this version of rayman has more natural attacks but I feel like they should have kept it near to if not similarly to the rayman 3 attack style where he could actually throw his fists and curve them. If there was anything I'd change in this build that would be it, keep some of these attacks but add that type of attack style still there

Rayman 4 just gives me all the right feelings, kinda reminds me of a combination of skylanders and classic spyro from my perspective of never playing a rayman game other than a little bit of origins or legends from xbox live gold

Tbh i still like the prototype gives more creepy atmosphere better and as well the creepy rabbid's models cuz in the prototype it seem they have give it a more sinister dark tone direction.
Seeing this just makes me think how much we were ROBBED with the final game. This could've been the NEXT big thing for Rayman, open world hack and slash type of gameplay with platforming? Count me in.

How in the world do you get it to run at 60 FPS? The game is locked at 32 for me! edit: it was an audio driver. out of all things. but now after it working for awhile now it just says that i need to update my graphics driver and no matter what it wont open :/
I liked Raving Rabbids as a kid, but finding out what it could have been makes me sad. I doubt that this version of Rayman 4 would have been quite as good as 2, but it seems like it would have been a fun time if they had completed it.

Talked to Droolie, and you will be able to make your own custom maps later down the line and import them in the game, it is still a wip.

i have an issue with PC! Im in Windows11 and i can’t move back to the Rayman Control panel once i open the game!

It would be really cool to add Titan Monsters to hijack them and use them to fight the Rabbids. An idea from Crash of the Titans.
Or Better yet, make the costumes more unique! Each with a different elemental power like in the DS or GBA version.
