Do you track using any inserts "baked in" at all?
There is no compression at all going in. Completely raw. I'll track some inserts "baked in" if its like a pedal board or a unique sound I cannot reproduce in the box.

akg 214 are great mics for the price. I use a matched pair as my drum overheads atm. eventually gonna replace em with 414's and use the 214's as room mics, also great on vocals
