Different games suit different people, see the outrage with cyberpunks FPP gameplay for example. I liked KCD though I never finished it. Though once more of the DLC come out I think I'll happily install again and replay it hopefully to completion of the main story and the DLCs at least.

This game is one of the best games I've ever played I would liken it to the Lord of the Rings movies. Your attention to detail is unmatched. The the artwork on the walls is wonderful. I love that you incorporate Christianity into the story and immorality. Great work.
To be honest, I was hoping to be openly atheistic in the game with my character.

Been playing this since the first day of release. Somehow I've managed to play 185 hours and not get to the end of the game yet. Love all the side quests and just venturing around. Good job with this game and with listening to the gamers!

I don't full out concentrate on the main quest; I do random side quests in between, brew potions and practice my archer and sword fighting with Captain Bernard. I'm using a few mods to make the difficulty harder so I can't just go into any fight. Gotta practise.
yeah this game's enviroment isn't enough to keep me interested while doing basic things such as practising archering and sword combat (I've done plenty of that as well) and boring fetching sidequests, howeve I managed to clock in 100 hours on The Witcher 3 (that's just the base game, I'm over 200 with dlc's) because of how alive the Witcher world felt. Once I got about 1/3 through with the main story I got bored and rushed through, thus finishing the game in 40 hours (it was pre patch 1.3 so the game was riddled with bugs, I probably played like 30 hours if you take away restart time and loading screens)
Doesn't take much to keep me interested I guess. I clocked in 500 hours on Witcher 3, including 2 play throughs of the main story and once on both DLC's. Haven't even gotten through all the side quests. But yeah, the Witcher 3 environment is amazing and you can't fault it.
i know the feeling , everytime i started the game and began on the main quest , 3 hours later i looked at the map seeing that im further away from the mainqeust then when i started it . those damm sideqeust and magnificent churches just keep distracting me
This game was beautifully done. The bugs and glitches from Day 1 made it a pain to play, but the gameplay itself made it all worth it.
We need CROSSBOWS! Germany and Bohemia were both big crossbow nations.
Also, I like the hardcore variation of selling bandit loot for less; minted money wasn’t as common back then as D&D would have you believe. Most big transactions were done with notarized paper bank-notes (hence why we call modern paper money bank notes).
Also guns, small arms and cannons have been a big part of European warfare for 70 years as of KCD.
I wouldn't say firearms were a "big part" of warfare, they were just starting to exist.
They weren't even that effective, their accuracy was horrible and weren't really good at going through armor, plus it took ages to reload them, I doubt the game needs them.
Well all that could be said of guns until the mid-1600s.

And even then by the 1550s you practically didn't see any other missile weapon on the field but guns. They were reportedly more accurate than bows or crossbows (at least in common combat ranges), pretty much ignored light cover and dealt with people in lighter gear more efficiently.
The only thing that really changed (apart from a few oddities) is the armour penetration in a carriable package.
However, few oddities:
First rifled gun ca. 1480
First breech loader handgun ca. 1470
First breech loading cannon ca. 1370
First cartridges (non-disposable iron cartridge) ca. 1360
First multi-shot guns with one barrel ca. 1490
First multi-shot gun, multiple barrels ca. 1330
However breech loading becoming common, Crimean War 1853-1856, rifling becoming common 1860-1870. The two things that improved accuracy and rate of fire took a good 400-500 years to come to fruition.

john pardon it saves when you get to important parts in the story, when you sleep in your bed, get full service from the bathhouse and when your drink the schnapps. The game is really not difficult, it’s intuitive and you get better and better at it as you go on. You should most def get it
john pardon The game saves at like every step during a quest, so unless you're out exploring and don't sleep once you might be burned.

2. At what point in the game will the DLC be 'activated'? Right after the battle for Pribislawitz?
3. Will the DLC be on the Playstation 4?

The Quest should start awhile after the battle, and from what i heard you wont have to start new game, it should work with current save.
For PS4 i dont know, i am PC gamer. But PS4 is always delayed a little due to Sony.

I suggest removing the compass from the screen if it doesn't do anything in Hardcore mode.
I started playing KCD last week and I love it. I hope that recruiting people for the village doesn’t mess up any side quest they are involved O_o. Also, it would be cool to be able to go fishing, or to have at least a basic fishing feature like in Fable: The Lost Chapters. *Rip Lionhead Studios*. Thank you for this awesome game!
I think the NPCs refuse to join your village until you have completed all the side quest they are involved in
For an imperfect game, the game is perfect for me. Most games I play through until the end, then trade it in for the next game. This will be the first game of hundreds I've played I will keep in my collection. Fantastic game, I can get through the bugs and such. Warhorse, you have produced a great game. Looking forward to the next chapters and DLC
Perhaps *grant Henry an exclusive perk* when 1st appointed as bailiff of Pribyslavis...and another perk when town is fully rebuilt or even exclusive weapons and armor.

The game for me is beautiful , but what is far more important is to optimize the game , reduce texture popping mostly on HDDs(because even mod won't remove the texture poppings/problems) make the game far more better in terms of performance because those do really affect the immersion and experience of the player towards to the game , smoother and better optimized games = more players that will buy and play the game
Modding tools with a proper map editor(like Skyrim's Creation Kit) would be amazing. That + Steam Workshop would ensure that the game lives for 10++ more years.
There will be mod support at the beginning of next year.

Fix the economy please. The value of items from bandits etc is way too high given the amount of groschen traders have. You end up with a horde of stuff you can't sell without using mods. Either increase the monies traders have, or drop the value of items you get from bandits etc. You should be able to sell most of your inventory, I'm lucky if I can sell 5 pieces of armour from bandits/cuman. New DLC sounds awesome. Can't wait
Did you try hardcore mode already? It you start a new game, you can try it out now. In hardcore mode, it is more difficult to sell items.

well, they can't just print more money, you know? That's the downside of coins as currency.
Before the 1.6 patch, I had the Sasau singing blacksmith built up to over 3/4 million groshen. Start by donating a load of gear to him and when he resets, he will have more money. They more you sell to him, the more money he makes.
I love that they are adding this settlement building system, will also help as a bit of a gold sink so that you don't feel so loaded with gold (groschen) by the end of the game with nothing to spend it on.
I just made my first trip to Talmberg since the 1.6 patch. I was not expecting Talmberg to be completely back to normal. Sir Divish's castle is completely rebuilt. I rode up to where the trebuchet was and it was like it had never been there. I saw something move. I rode over and saw Sir Robard chest deep in the ground where he was giving orders to fire the trebuchet. I had my spade with me, but I couldn't dig him out. I didn't even have the option to talk to him and give him a cuman ear to chew on while he waits.

Warhorse you guys are absolutely amazing. This DLC is such a surprise. Just when I thought this game could not get any better you guys go and do something like this. I am amazed, the work and programming and coding that went into this - I am in awe. With such recent tragedies of developers over promising and not delivering you guys have gone above and beyond and have outdone yourselves. Game of the Year, Studio of the Year, ... KCD will forever go down as one of my all time favorite games. ... Thank you all

Just "beat" the game yesterday. I got off to a slow start because of how different this game is than other RPGs, but once I got in the swing of things I really enjoyed it. Can't wait to see what else you guys come up with!

Warhorse Studios, Thanks so much for releasing this game & the constant patches that improve the game & help clear up most of the glitches & loading issues. I’m currently on my 2nd playthrough & the game world is incredibly beautiful. I’ll be honest, real life is kinda difficult for me right now. Depression & Anxiety are making things hard. But I feel happy when playing your game. I get lost in the game world for hours on end & it really helps to lift my spirits. I consider this game the best of this generation. Thanks so much. It means a lot.

One of the best games I played in '17... in an era where game publishers are more interested in fleecing players than providing quality content, KC:D was a beacon of hope. I'll be throwing my money at you as soon as any dlc is released.
Kingdom come 2 should either be a Viking game, or a game about the crusades. Or anything really. Just make it as good as deliverance! 👍

Only bought this game about 2 weeks ago on PS4, utterly in love, genuinely challenging, rewarding, a combat system that seems hard at first but quickly becomes intuitive (and much better than the standard "my sword has X damage so I win"). Very impressed so far and can't wait to lose endless hours of my life playing it!

The hardcore mode was definetly something we needed. Ill replay the game right now. Not a big fan of the story, but I like shooting with a bow and melee fighting. Would be even more fun if we had more sorts of weapons; pikes, spears, crossbows, halbeard, bigger axes etc..
A easy mode for people who are not master in combat will be perfect for enjoy the story

In a world with a dime a dozen zombie and first person shooters. Games like KCD give me excitement about not only owning a game but playing it. I am so excited to get this game tomorrow and share this rich experience with my son. RPG's can be fun and immersible when done with love and care. p.s. do add more different types of animals to the game,it will make it a lot more interesting
if you add geese for example, you can implement a feature where if you're in a town and a flock of geese are flying overhead and you start shooting them,the guards get angry (if i remember correctly it was forbiden to do this in medieval times as you put other ppl within the city in danger,also you're drawing out a weapon...)

I’m glad I didn’t lose patience with this game, at 1.3 it had become unplayable, but I figured the size of studio, It was understandable. But their drive to make a compelling first person narrative stuck with me (Especially given that disaster at E3) and the people within the studio radiate passion. I’m now back on it, and absolutely loving it, the DLC roadmap looks very good. Keep up the good work WH!

I'd recommend, it is not bug free, but it is a good purchase regardless also with each patch the game gets better and better. It was a disaster at release (which was 6 major versions and ~3.5 months ago) but now it is a very good game. Also you can buy it on GOG.com too.

You've ruined perfect blocks and master strikes with the latest patch tho, texture pop ins are worse then before, major bugs not getting addressed quickly enough. I'm talking game breaking bugs. You still haven't released the price of the dlc and have only just announce the released the date the DLC will drop when you was telling people on your forum that it would drop a few days after e3. You really need to step up with the communication with your player base and not just RUclipsrs. A single player only game depends on it's player base and yet there's been people that haven't been able to play the game or progress on the story due to massive bugs...most studios would divert all attention to fixing that and releasing a hot fix asap but no not you guys. You informed them that you've found the bug found a fix but don't know when your releasing it!
You have a lot of bugs issues? I play on Xbox One and I got only like 2 bugs
I like it better without the star indicating perfect blocks, this way you have to actually look at your opponent and his blade to know when to parry (and you can still do master strikes, you just need to block right when the ennemy's sword comes down at you)
I have a feeling you don’t realize the complexity of game development.
I understand it perfectly justin but communication is key and let's be honest if they have a fix for a game breaking bug that stops someone from playing the game they should release it asap not hang on to it for a month
ross amer Every patch they have to play test it to make sure it doesn’t create even more game breaking bugs, and they also can’t simply release a patch whenever they want. They have to get it reviewed and approved by Sony/Microsoft. These are just the main things, stuff that can take weeks, and god knows all the other things like actually finding a solution to the bug.
Surely I'm not the only one being terrified at the prospect of Henry being in charge of *anything* :P
Unsure if this has been mentioned or not, but as seeing this will be a two part game... I'm guessing/hoping it will be a dragon age style element in the aspect of the character you had, choices you made, etc carries over to the second game/part. If not, something to consider, would be highly immersive to see our choices with Henry carry over, i.e just moving the save file and clicking continue. All that being said, I've played many games and this has rapidly become one of my favorites. Looking forward to everything that's to come, amazing work!

Im happy to see nee content in the works, the road map is reassuring as well. I just find that a lot of this stuff coming out lacks a “big picture”. Im all for making this village great again, but to what end? The story ending to the game as it stands right now leaves me wanting yet all I know for sure that is coming is some village building. I really love the story and I understand warhorse isn’t a video game giant, I just want this universe and title to be used to its best potential.
I just knew that the man who developed the game is sir hanush is leipa didn't know he would like that long to tell the story
I really love this game finished it and still playing it and warehouse studious are really awesome for communicating with the players can't wait for the DLC
