  • Making a vise stop for a milling machine vise has been a job on my to do list for a long time. Having a machine vise stop makes using the Bridgeport milling machine much faster. The vise stop allows parts to be accurately constrained in the X axis of the Bridgeport milling machine. The machine vise itself already constrains the part in Y and Z. The vise stop is adjustable in XYZ to accommodate different shape parts. The body of the vise stop is made from medium carbon steel that has been treated with black phosphate for corrosion resistance. The round parts are turned on the lathe from stainless steel.
