Not just guitars but also drums since misha programmed all the drum parts himself and that familiar djent drum sound with the stacks and odd times has a lot to do with misha and how he visioned, wrote, and programmed the songs. Guys like Matt garstka and Matt halpern all learned a lot of programmed drum parts from Misha’s style and it suck with both of them and took it their own way. Did I see it right, that he never played the lowest string? How is this guitar tuned then? Like Drop B plus a low F# which he doesn't use for this song?
Marcello Velasco the same question came to my mind, I wondered how he got such tight clarity on this record, using strings 5 and 6 to chug makes sense tbh, I must try this tuning
Great performance here. Bit curious about the model he's using - I notice the default for that guitar is a 25.5 Scale length, which isn't super common for 7 string guitars. Is that what he's using, or is he using the 27" variant? Looks like 25.5 at a glance but hard to say. With that in mind, I'm curious about the string gauges being used since shorter scales typically require thicker strings to maintain decent tension on lower tunings.
