Nebraska QB play 2024 is vastly better…Nebraska is looking like a solid team. Kansas offensive plays were questionable toward the end of the Illinois game. Illinois has lived off turnovers which Nebraska most likely won’t do. Nebraska wins.
I agree, but let's see what happens. Illnois got some big and tall guys on their offense and defense. Also we've made had no close games and made no mistakes.
There’s been a lot of talk about this game, and hungry Nebraska fans, like me, are eating it up. Greg McElroy took a different approach than other podcasters and analyzed some aspects of the matchup that others may have missed. Appreciate you, Greg.
I mean they have absolutely improved. But they won 4 games last year. I think they win like 6 games this year. And I’m a husker fan. Their defense is better but their oline not amazing. Nebraska is a legit beast of a team tho we going 10-2 and maybe grabbing a 8-11 seed
@@Smokinontilapia their defense has played nobody since us and we sat on the ball the second half I’m not convinced. They started 3-0 last year so time will tell
@@Drkbardockssj Yea you fans happy with mediocrity. I will never understand why fans would be happy with playing in useless bowl games that mean nothing. So many players sit out of them, that's just how meaningless they are. You may as well support mid programs like Iowa if you only want a bowl game.
Did you seriously just question whether Nebraska can stop the run? Essentially the same unit that held opponents to less than 93 yards rushing per game and fewer than 3 yards per carry for the entirety of the '23 season -- you ask if THAT D can stop the ground game? The crew that held Illinois to 21 yards on 19 carries a year ago? Can that group...stop...the run??!? Wow.
We did that against not very good teams last year our whole defense needs to prove what they are. We should have handled northern Iowas run better in my opinion. So yea they have to prove it.
Last year's dismal run performance by the llini was partially due to a depleted running back room. They enter the game in full health and have added a freshman out of California that has been surprisingly good. You'll likely see all 4 in rotation - not predicting they will run at will but should be better than last year. O-line is also vastly improved, thanks to transfer portal.

The Husker Defense is legit. Most everybody is back from last year. The Nebraska offense has lots of play makers. Huskers 35 Illini 10

No Nebraska isn't going to run the ball against Illinois all night i love your questions and hypothectics as well great show
Nebraska finally has a QB. Corn huskers enjoy the next 3 years
Will be a close one. Should go all the way down to the last play.
Nebraska 20, Illinois 17
I didn't have either team ranked pre-season. I'm still not sold that either is a top 25 team. It's early.
Nebraska is not a team that just wants to get to a bowl game. Greg!!
Right just cuz we been losing don't mean we still ain't playing to win championships F a bowl
Not us non delusional Nebraska fans we just want to make a bowl game.

I don’t think Northern Iowa is getting the credit they deserve. They ran really hard. I’m really surprised they’re only ranked 21st on the FCS
As a husker fan I've seen a lot of bad football teams over the last 20 years and that's a GOOD football team
Nebraska wins BIG! Welcome back "The Blackshirts"!!!
Black shirts is on life support at this point but I get it haha
@@Drkbardockssj ? The last 2 years they’ve had there best defense in 10-15 years.

Way overrated defense. Nothing special there. ILLINOIS defensive backs and edge rushers are far superior.
Huskers by 21.

Very good report, but please learn to pronounce players' names before the show. Raiola is pronounced Rye-oh-la, not Ray-oh-la. Thanks!
Most people say it this wet just like they did with his dad
The thing about Illinois's running back is that he's SLOW. That will be the difference maker.
And Nebraska's DBs are better than one might think.
