The 2 previous games were sold together under the name Fallen Legion: Rise to Glory, so if one is interested that is also an option before this one. Most people looked at this series and said "It's valkyrie profile" and...yeah, it kinda is, in a good way. The main combat clearly is inspired by that series, like Grand Kingdom as another example but it has its own identity
I feel like I get a Castlevania/Bloodstained vibe from the art style but the game looks like it’s trying to be Vanillaware when you see it in action. To me this seems like a dev that’s almost onto something.... but they need to add a certain je ne sais quoi to make it more compelling.
That's my hang up, it plays great, the story is cool. The graphics remind me of new grounds to an extent. Alot of games have this art direction but it's never hooked me

This is my first dip into the series, I thought it was fun, but I may need to go back to get the full plot.
I've loved the demo and while some reviews are really down on this, I'm happy to here others enjoyed the full release.
