Dodo 225 Yes it is big, and the reason is the Madsen barrel, I didnt want to cut it any shorter. And the weight is a good thing, helps to manage recoil.

Incredible machining. I’m assuming you’re Finnish by your accent? Are there no legal restrictions on building air rifles this large? Just curious! Love this build a lot
Steel&Cider - This was made before the EU gun sanctions made life difficult. It is tied to my firearms license. Making one now will require a personal manufacturing license for a gun, but you need to convince the authorities of your need for the gun to get the permit. And yes Finnish rally English.

@@MJPilote you were getting 1470fps? That is very impressive for a air rifle. Too bad it is so expensive. My 357 Magnum rifle is cheaper, faster, and hits way harder, but way louder
@@FUW-guy Your "My 357 Magnum rifle is cheaper, faster, and hits way harder" bla bla bla does not hit way harder. This gentlemans Air gun does 3108 fpe. A gun that has more foot pounds of energy "fpe" means it is going to do more damage. You know like hit harder.
If you made this you need to start your own company. Whoever made this is one badass mf. I wish I could make something half as awesome. I'm just absolutely blown away. I'd love to see the maker make a pistol
Congratulations! Awesome build man! I am happy to see the most powerful one being a homemade one :D This also makes me more motivated to somehow build a decent one. Not so big and powerful as this one, but a decent one. Curious to see what can I do without special tools or materials. Cheers!
Thanks, and a word of warning. Please be careful with high pressure air. Choose your materials carefully and do your math. You need a proper safety margin to yield on everything that sees pressure. 2.5-3:1 safety to yield. So your design should hold 2.5 times the working pressure without yielding. Then you know it's safe. And hydro test everything to at least double the working pressure. If it yields then start over with different materials.
@MJPilote Hi wow what a cannon, Looks engineered very nicely ! Does this have anything to do with the AEA Fury, which is on their site but no one seems to own or shoot?
Nice work M! If you ever get over to the states we will go deer hunting, hog or Moose(?). There isn't anything bigger except at the zoo and that is frowned upon.
Nice Air Rifle! mrhollowpoint makes 20mm slugs in 640 grain, 960 grain, 1150 grain, 1588 grain, and 1750 grain not as heavy as the 185 grams= 2854 grains you are using. I thought the 1750 grain slug mrhollowpoint makes was heavy but 2854 grain wow.
May I recommend making a magazine for the gun. I am also thinking you can make some brass or steel cartridges that can hold compressed air or some other gas and then the bullet itself.
jafinch78 valve is basically a hammer actuated poppet valve that has a balancing piston to reduce hammer mass. K mauser trigger releases the spring powered hammer. Very simple design. There is some video on my channel how the balancing valve functions on a smaller gun.
