  • Zion Williamson has visibly changed since coming into the league a smiling, happy number 1 pick. The Pelicans are no longer standing by him like they used to and everything is riding on this season. This is a look at the future for Zion and his team.

The problem here is that Zion’s intangibles are as questionable as his tangible, health related issues. Zion is already unsteady physically bc of his weight issues/injury issues… and mentally frankly he simply doesn’t seem to be mature yet. That means even if he’s not injured it’s not likely everything will go right. It’s hard enough to win even if everything is going right… and I don’t know that he has the intangibles to stay consistent long enough to win. History tells me it’s not likely and even if he does it a few years he’s more likely to simply be a one and done for deep playoff runs

MJ talked about this in an interview. He said that most of today's players are paid off based on their potential. They are offered big contracts and millions of dollars even before they played a single game. In most cases, this creates a comfort zone and most players no longer feel the need to perform and compete at the highest level.
There is no hunger to prove themselves, just distractions and drama to make them feel relevant.
Zion might look like a tank but he is clearly not in the best physical and mental condition to compete. Sad to say, in all the 4 years that he's in the NBA, the only thing he has proven is that he is a bust.

Exactly. This is a league based on performance, not potential... and yet, the NBA reached such a weak position, they are pampering their athletes way too much. If Zion think NOLA is treating him poorly, no one in the NBA are willing to pay for his "potential"... then hell, go play in China, let's see him earning even 5% of what he could earn in the US. No NBA team can win without it's star. Zion was supposed to be that star for NO basketball. He, rightfully, recognizes the team can't win big without him on the court. No team has "anything going" for themselves if their best player misses 75+% of games. Nuggets, Bucks, 76ers, Lakers, etc. Take away Jokic, Giannis, Embiid, Lebron, etc from those teams for that number of games and they're all lottery dumpster fires too.

Zion's career earnings in the first 4 years are 45 million and he played a total of 114 games, averaging 400K per game played. That's just the money he got according to his Pelicans contract. From this season on he's making about 3-4 times as before. Whether he plays or not. I dont think he has any reason to be mad. He had enough stamina to do windmills in the park and dunk on pornstars. He still might become the star on court that he has been projected to be, and I think we all hope so, but it's up to his health and his effort, and his ability to fade out the noise around him. At the same time, the next gen is passing him by left and right. What wasnt fair to him was the hype he caught before playing a single NBA game, but that comes with the territory.

Zion to the Warriors would be amazing. They have a great athletic training staff for rehabing and injury prevention especially during Steph's ankle issues and Klay's injuries. Zion playing alongside CP3 and the Splash Brothers will break the NBA.

I was called the biggest hater because I said this was going to happen. I went around and asked people who would you rather have on your team, Zion or Luka, and why? The people that said they would take Zion said it was because he was more dominant. But I would provide a counter argument by saying does it matter how dominant a player is if he never plays?
Who cares if he can average 29 ppg on 65% shooting if he plays for less than a quarter of the season.
The warning signs of his injury issues were there before he even made it to the league. But because he was so good in high school and college everyone ignored it.

Why are we saying "when he gets hurt"? There wasn't even a follow up of "I hope he doesn't get injured" the narrative is insane!

He stopped being an asset a long time ago. And his inability to BE and REMAIN a professional is not even questionable, he’s absolutely unable to. Maturity is not there and by the time it comes his best career will still be trailing way behind what the potential promises have expected him to be. Roll him out and make the best possible deal, he’s a problem in new Orlando and he’s been sheltered. Time to grow or go.

Zion is getting unlucky, yes his health hasn’t been good, but when he rehangs and comes back and is noticeably healthier, something goes wrong, it’s truly sad. When healthy, anyone would still take him number 1 ovr in a redraft

The problem is that he never is healthy. If he doesn't have the discipline for not eating like a pig and being professional he cannot win at the highest level.

I usually enjoy your videos but in this on you really played the click bait card. You basically just stated known facts without any evidence that Zion "isn't happy"...
At the moment he's playing at a high level and hasn't given an interview or anything criticizing the pels.
Seems like you're trying to stir the pot for no reason.
