Please be patient while we work out the logistics and figure out how to keep bringing you the content you want to see!
    Sure, a cup of instant noodles is a quick and easy snack for one person. But if you turn it into almost-as-instant fried rice, you can feed more than one mouth. Plus, it's just stupid delicious. Watch Daniel Gritzer make it in his home kitchen.

    YUM! I made a "lazy" demi-glace with just 3 ingredients:
    - Beef stock
    - Brown sugar
    - Cornstarch (to thicken the sauce)
    Trust me, the glace really gives a nice sweet taste that really compliments the ramen rice.
    Delicious and simple! 🤤👩‍🍳🍳

    to make this recipe even easier (and more delicious imo), i recommend using tader joe’s frozen brown rice (if you don’t have cooked rice already). it gives the dish a wonderful chewy texture. btw i use indomie because the curry flavored ramen has meat. i also fry a quarter of an onion and a teaspoon of garlic paste before adding the rice, and season with a tblsp of soy sauce, a quarter tspn of sesame oil, and some sriracha before adding the seasoning packets and noodles.

    1. Fresh rice should NOT be used. Anyone who knows how to make fried rice always uses leftover rice from the day before, usually refrigerated.
    2. NEVER add salt and/or all of the ramen powder for recipes like this. The powder already contains large amounts of sodium/salt (which is why we don't drink all of the ramen broth). If you do add such large amounts of sodium, you risk damaging your liver/kidneys.
    3/ Adding tomato sauce, although authentic, adds MORE salt.
    Basically, don't add salt, use one a small amount of ramen power and then it's ok to add tomato/demi glace sauce/etc.

    i'm sure it tastes fine because you can't go wrong with the seasoning from the instant ramen, but really... what's the point of mixing noodles with rice like this? the noodles will mess with the texture of a good fried rice and with crushed up noodles you're not getting any enjoyment of eating noodles. you're better off just eating a separate bowl of fried rice and a bowl of ramen (dry if you want)

    • @newbasick
      @newbasick 4 года назад +3

      I get where you are coming from but this ghetto instant dish has its origins in a dish called Sobameshi. Sobameshi originates from the Hyogo prefecture of Japan and is usually cooked with a sauce made up of Worcestershire, soy sauce, and ketchup. It is street food so it is usually eaten when you are drunk, lazy, in a hurry, or at a festival. You are right though, you do not get to enjoy the noodles like you normally would. However, it is pretty damn good and this instant version is a decent workaround in a pinch.
      In short, you aren't wrong, but it is a thing.

    • @fordhouse8b
      @fordhouse8b 4 года назад +1

      Adding other ingredients to good fried rice does not mess with the texture of it, they add other textures, while leaving the texture of the rice in place. Do peas, ham or onions also mess with the texture of good fried rice? How about carrots, tofu, spam, or kimchi?
