Since Mercedes got rid of V8, I stopped thinking about getting C63s or E63s. V8 and its exhaust tone is the main thing that hooked me to those cars. Later, I got an M5 F90. No 4-cylinder vacuum cleaner for me. And with current interest rates in the US, the new C63 e Performance can be leased for around $2,000/mo. Are you kidding me??!!! That's more than one could find a deal on BMW M850i (N63 V8, $1450+tax), Audi S8 (V8, MSRP 13k, $1640+tax), and even BMW M8 Competition (S63T4 V8, $145k, $1850/mo+tax). No, Mercedes, no, thanks!
Best review I have seen of this car. Yeah a V8 sounds great but when I had a Tesla Model S, it never stopped being fun to hit the accelerator and I really didn't miss the V8 sound.
This is the worst decision ever made by the AMG team, whoever came with the idea of putting a 4cyl engine on a C63 should be fired immediately. This was the stupidest this ever ever, this guy most of gotten paid for this review
So did you not test the economy yourself? The official figures are weird for plug in hybrids so it would be good to see what you actually got out of it.

9:24 Is it really the future? There are plenty of other new V8 Hybrid cars on the market (including new/upcoming models in the AMG lineup). AMG could have made this car much more fun with a 6 or 8 cylinder hybrid and sound/emotion is a huge part of the C63 driving experience.
