Just replaced my battery... Major discovery!!! When you reinstall the pins, simply push the connectors (not the ones on the motherboard) from the inside and push the connector plate away from the Sena unit. It is just held in place by light glue. Install the motherboard and simply re-insert the connector plate (the thing that the pins on the motherboard slide into) which will easily slide right on to the pins. I struggled with it for awhile before the light came on. No need to break any plastic. Thanks for the video. 👍
Terry I followed your instructions and fitted a new battery, when reinstalling the board I found that if you bend the black cover outwards slightly with pointed pliers the pins fitted perfectly thank you
HI Terry, I just made the battery change. one recomandation, if you put together the angle-pins : do not broken the black plastic, as you did. push from inside the the conector-pin (out-side pin) from inside out, and after the you can put the platin in. then you push from outside the conector-pin in; AND therefore you need the plastic inside which hold aganist the pressure from outside. the dissambeling I made as you did, but probably it is worth to try to disconnect the conector-pin from outside - it will be hard, it is lightly glued. You don't have to break the article away to remove and reinstall the circuit board. There are Harley forums that discuss this repair. If you are careful and use a jewelers screwdriver, you can carefully remove the contact plare before removing the circuit board. Then the circuit board can be easily removed. Once the battery is replaced, install the circuit board then reinstall the contact plate.

My sena20s has TWO batteries. Nobody mentions this. I replaced the larger one it didn't help my unit, wont boot up shuts off. Was wondering if anyone has replaced the smaller battery with results. Leaning toward mine not booting to something else.
I wasn’t aware of a second battery of any kind. I would agree with your thoughts though….if the unit won’t boot up or shuts off, that sounds like some other problem. Sorry I can’t offer any other help.

Mine will not hold charge after a day or two of not charging it. I bought 4 battery’s. If I don’t charge it every day for an few hours or more it will be dead. Maybe it’s a motherboard problem. 🤷🏽
It must be a motherboard or something. My wife only rides every couple of weeks and it's unplugged all that time. I charge it when we get back from a ride and unplug it about an hour later after it's fully charged. It holds the charge a long time.
Sorry your video is not quite correct. When assembling the board you do not have to break off the plastic inside but press the BUCHSE of the board from the inside to the outside. If necessary press it carefully from the outside with a cutting knife and remove the plug-in board. now install the board, screw the cover and then press the plug-in part onto the board. possibly apply a small blob of glue to fix it in place. see the attached video from 4:10 onwards where this is shown. Glad you found another way. Keep an eye on the unit when you charge it....it takes less than an hour. I unplug it then. Getting day-long life now.

Works for a Sena 30K too! Thank you. Trickiest part was definitely getting the pins in the circuit board to seat.
