Great style I love your apartment! That rug is cute. And as for laundry, I bought a portable washing machine it’s so nice to have. Though it does take up space. Also I hate it when people make comments like “bro I could get a five bedroom two story house in the middle of Oklahoma for the price of your rent hurhurhur” like obviously living in the city as so many benefits it’s not just about the price!
Thanks so much!! We’ve thought about the portable machine too but the laundromats runs aren’t tooo bad 😊 living in nyc is definitely for the experience - there’s always so much to do, good food, and crazy nightlife!
I live in NYC. Trust me when I say there are no "benefits" and as soon as I retire, I am OUT of this cesspool for good. Seeing homeless bums push shopping carts, fear of getting mugged or murdered on the subways and the horrible stench in the air are "benefits" I can do without. NYC is HIGHLY overrated. Those people who talk about Oklahoma are spot on and the only ones who go "hurhurhur" are the dopes who pay through the nose to live in a tin can in the middle of a crime ridden city run by liberals who want to control every facet of your life. You can keep NYC for yourself. And before you say it, I won't let the door hit me on the way out. Thanks for your concern though.
Your place has a lot of natural sunlight which is fantastic. If I could make a suggestion by moving the sofa up against the wall where the TV is and move the TV over where the sofa is by the windows. You have such nice windows but the benefit you have in your bedroom is the fire escape. You could just step out and easily clean those windows. A tip that I use is Rain-X that you would normally use on your windshield. I use it on my windows which I think keeps them cleaner longer so when it rains the water beads off of the windows.

Nice & bright with the light!!! IMHO I would put white sheers on the windows.
We actually have sheer white stick on blinds that you pull down! Very renter friendly :)

Do you know there are small “apartment” wash machines? It is a bit labor intensive, & they are small, not sure how it would work for 2 people. Check it out though!

Is that expensive for Manhattan? It seems like a fortune! I live in California 😂 What kind of work do you both do?
It's definitely on the lower end because we don't have any extra amenities in our building (or even an elevator). Some 2 bed 1 baths in the city can go for 5k and above 😱 Jason is a software engineer and I'm a product designer!
You may be able to find another apartment with a washer and dryer; for the price you're paying for this apartment. Thx for sharing 😊
love the space! is that clinking sound (like an iced drink in a glass jar) from the apartment or is that the camera?
Thanks!! The clinking is actually from our pipes for heat! we have a hot water system and a lot of old pre wars in nyc have this clanging noise
I just love this absolutely gorgeous but I would want to have to climb all those stairs up to the apartment lol I already have to come up two flights of stairs I'm on the second floor in my apartment but we do have elevators I just don't like getting in them I don't like being in a closed in peace
it really is a pain but we got used to the stairs pretty quickly, plus it’s a great workout everyday 😊 definitely looking forward to having an elevator building in the near future!

She has good reason to fell uncomfortable out on that fire escape. You can find a fair number of news stories about people falling to their death from one. (Third story and above: serious, if not fatal, injuries.)

Really cute flat
Your rent could pay my home off in a 1/3 amount of the time. No way would I pay that amount of money for such a small space that doesn't provide a foyer or a dedicated space for a small dining table. No washer or dryer connections on top of asking me to walk up 5 flights of stairs each day! Craziness! It's time to pack up and get the heck out of Dodge Miss Kitty! ❤️

Living in NYC is more expensive. Don’t forget you also pay to be in one of the world’s most vibrant cities with many amenities a huge house in the suburbs wont have access to
Jason should replace that "comfortable" office chair with a heavy duty HIGH BACK LEATHER office chair. The current chair appears to offer no neck support, which is probably why he's sore often.

it’s from west elm! the Oliver 72” sofa. it’s pretty comfortable, but we only went with it because it was a smaller sofa to fit our place. ideally i would get a fluffier sofa ☺️

My GOD.Almost 4 000 dollars for a flat in Ny.With price, you get a hause , 3 beds 2 baths in Florida, plenty of space and near the ocean.Even cheaper than that...i guess....its NY.
